  1. I use MAC brush cleaner. its great, and not too pricey!!
  2. Aly, the link worked. I've tried stickers. I think my 2 biggest problems are 1. I'm a perfectionist (and so is FI esp diy stuff) and 2. my cups are transparent so everything is very cloudy when we put on the cups. I've tried stickers, used clear ones, except it has a cloudy film. the cloudy film will come off with scrubbing but the ink doesn't stick to the shiny surface as well. We may scrub off the cloudy stuff and print, and cover with a second scrubbed sheet. We were frustrated and stopped before we got mad and broke something. hehe on a great note this week we: 1. booked our photog (finally decided I had to have a pro do them instead of family) 2. booked our ahr caterer 3. received our ahr invites (for those not getting wedding invites. unfortunately I forgot the date to rsvp by, but I'm not going to sweat it). ordered from vistaprint, received 3 days after ordering--selected the 2wk delivery option. hope everyone has a great weekend.
  3. Happy Day Stephanie!! Hope it was wonderful!!

  5. Sorry to hear about your sucky day. IMO TTD is better/higher priority than BD. I mentioned something about a BD shoot/book and FI said, why do I need a book, I can see you naked everyday. He's pretty pracitical so I just laughed, how do I respond to that? So I'm saving money and not doing a BD book for him.
  6. I tied it between the 2 layers of flowers (no threading required). Just get some cheap ones to try and some monofilament. The biggest challenge for me was keeping my cats from chasing the the string and biting through it.

I forwarded it to the florist just in case to be sure they could replicate it. Actually I went the really cheap route and bought them at dollar tree (mostly). This was my quick attempt... I used one stem from Hobby Lobby, 3 bunches from dollar tree and one bunch my mom had. You could do it in a few hours at most, its a really easy diy. Just cut off the stem, tie with monofilament (or fishing line if you're from the south) and voila, finished. I made each string about 8-10 feet. I think I've made about 6 strands, I'll make some more when I restock with flowers.
  8. Great frame. I haven't decided if I want to do a sand ceremony or not (FI probly doesn't even know what that is, haha). I am really frustrated with my dollar tree cups/lids. I can't find anything to use for personalizing, tried clear adhesive paper... looks really cloudy, and now rub on transfer paper, still really cloudy. I may end up using a darn paint pen!!! I need to take a few days off wedding planning and get ready for Bunco at my house in just over a week. How sad that I'm thinking about color coordinating the food/drink!!! argh, just some snacks and soda/wine/cocktails will be fine.
  9. an unexpected visit from my parents at work today (they live in another town)... and they came bearing beautiful flowers and yummy homegrown veggies.
  10. Welcome Hopefullyblissful, we share the same date!! Aly, sorry to hear all your troubles, hope you had a 2nd favorite mug. Just remember thru it all, you will be married to your FI in about 4.5mo.
  11. Oh Aly, so sorrry to hear your troubles. I've had troubles before reaching the WC, I think its fairly typical. I ended up sending her 5-6 emails with the same title/contents so it would catch her eye. I received a reply the next day. Since then, I've had no trouble getting in touch with her. I didn't want to do it but I had tried calling as well as emailing for almost a week. Can you find another photog at home to take with you? Good luck. It was my biggest issue and I finally found someone (good) in Jamaica that fit my budget. I am thrilled.
  12. Awesome job. Way to start your diy projects, cant wait to see what you do next.
  13. Nikki, great dress. It would def be worth a try to have it done. Have you thought about looking for a used one?
  14. Both of ours came out of the wedding budget, so we paid for ours collectively.
  15. Aly, thats some drama!! What no exes going along to add fuel to the fire?? hehe
  16. we're not having any bm/moh either, we want the focus to be on the two of us. its a DW so you can do what ever you want, don't worry about everyone else's feelings. You won't end up having the wedding of your dreams but everyone else's dreams. go shopping with your mom and/or friends. I went with my FI then took my mom and niece back for the confirmation (I had it narrowed down to 2 dresses). They had the pleasure of shopping without the hours of waiting and being bored.
  17. Angie, if you had a 2nd dress you could trash it the day before the wedding or do it at your honeymoon location. (I'm such a bad influence) thanks Hat0112, could a few drinks change his mind I'm more excited about the ttd than the wedding photos. I'm trying to decide if I want to spend the extra money for the outside photog to do the wedding or just save the money and have her do the ttd only. FI was against an outside photographer since the package includes some pics and family will take more, but I found some who would do the ttd for 500 whether or not they do the wedding. He's to the point of whatever makes you happy makes me happy as long as we can pay for it. Welcome FutureMrsGedman!!!

Thanks for the info, I meant mainly around the bottom and the train, but good to know about geting see thru, better make sure to wear a swimsuit or similar underneath. CDN Redhead, great dress. I love it.
