Hello ladies!! I'm a 2011 bride and I've decided on Moon Palace although it's not set in stone as of yet. I'm glad to hear that MP will match the price of other vendors if you find a better deal. I've checked prices with MP and they are very high. However, as some of you have mentioned, Orbitz is MUCH cheaper! It's still way too early for me to worry about these things but I need as much info as possible, so as the date nears, I'll know what to do to get the bang for my buck. Thanks ladies!! Sheila

Hi Cutierosie, AWESOME REVIEW!! One of the best reviews I've read so far. I'm a bride to be and I have to say that you have answered all of my questions. I'm in the beginning process of wedding planning and Moon Palace was on top of my list. After reading your review, I've made up my mind. This is probably the only review I've found with a beach wedding this detailed and great photos to follow. I'm planning for a 2011 wedding, although some may think it's too early for planning, I'd much rather get started ASAP. I loved your hair. I tried to view the link you posted of your hair, but it's no longer available. Can you provide a picture of it or an inspirational photo? The only questions I have for you are: How long did the fireworks last? What time does the Discotheque close? What time do the bars in the resort close? Did your DJ provide a light show? How good was the DJ as far as keeping the crowd going and having everyone on the dance floor? Thank You, Sheila

That would be great! Thank You! I look forward to hearing all the details when you return. -Sheila

I'm from NY as well and am looking into DT for 2011. How pleased were you with the appearance of the resort, ceremony and reception location? Are you having a DJ and if so, who did you choose? Hello all!! 2011 bride here! I'm looking to get married 10/8/2011 either in Tulum or riviera Maya mexico. I'm undecided on which resort because they're all so beautiful and it makes it hard to choose. This forum definitely has alot of information and although I've read great reviews about all of the resorts I'm looking into, It's still difficult to choose!! Either way, based on what I've read here, which ever resort I go with I'm sure it will be great. Congrats to all & Happy planning!! Sheila

Moon Palace Wedding Review
DiamondGirl replied to SarahandRichard's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Hello ladies!! I'm currently looking into venues for 2011 and Moon Palace in Rivera Maya is one of my choices. Any and all information/details will be very helpful. Was the cost of the wedding expensive? Did you choose free wedding package? Did you add on cocktail/reception optional choices? What do you recommend? How many ceremony sites are there to choose from? Please help a future bride out!! Thanks, Sheila -
I was referred to Destination Weddings by my FI co-worker. So far she's been very helpful. They require a $50 deposit which is applied to your balance and guarantee that they have the best price. If you find your package cheaper elsewhere, they'll match it. They don't charge you or your guest anything. They make their money from the hotels and airlines. I'm still in the early process of wedding planning. I haven't picked a resort yet. I will update as the process moves along. Hope this was helpful If you have any further questions I'll be more than happy to answer. -Sheila

Hello all!! Anyone know anything about Azul Sensatori, Moon Palace (Riviera Maya) or Gran Bahia Tulum? My wedding planner suggested these resorts and i'm undecided which way to go. I've checked out the Site for Azul Sensatori and It looks amazing. However, I've read some negative reviews on it from trip advisor. Gran Bahia and Moon Palace look amazing as well. Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated!! -Sheila

Hello all, I had the same questions!! I was trying to decide whether or not I should just do it all in mexico. But after reading all the posts, I think I'll just get married before I leave for mexico. Not only will I save myself all of the unnecessary hassle but some money too!! I also like the fact that you also get to take advantage of all of the honeymoon perks once you arrive. It's a no brainer!! Thanks ladies!! -Sheila

I totally agree!! So not worth spending $20,000-40,000 on a wedding. I've been to so many weddings and They'll seem to be the same. That's when I decided if I were to get married, I would do a destination wedding. Two reasons.... You save thousands and wedding totally different from the others. Also the fact that you spend alot of time and money and when the day finally comes.... It's all over in a few hours and you didn't enjoy it. Destination weddings are different because you get to spend some time with your guests before, during and after the wedding. I'm looking into Dreams Tulum myself. I've heard great things about it and about how beautiful it is. The photos I've seen are amazing. I'm looking to travel to Tulum sometime this year to check it out.

Hi 2011 bride here as well!! Congrats & welcome!!! My Date is not official but we're looking at 10/8/2011 either at Dreams Tulum or Aruba Marriot Resort in Aruba. I've been to Aruba & I LOVED it!! I've been to Mexico but not in Tulum. I've heard great things about Tulum & about how beautiful it is. I think Tulum will be more economical. I'm traveling to Tulum this spring to see for myself. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Hi, I'm a 2011 bride as well, however we have an unofficial date os 10/8/2011. I'm looking to travel this spring to check out the venues of choice. Once I make a decision & put a down payment.... Then we'll send out the STD's!! I have to say... although i'm almost 2yrs ahead of myself, it's pretty stressful b/c there's so much to be done.
