  1. That really sucks!! How can they just act as if this was some reservation for an ordinary party?!?! These are people's wedding days!! I would def call and speak with a supervisor about it. I would also ask for some type of compensation for lack of communication and customer service. At this point, the ball is in your court and they have a lot of making nice to do. Go and get them!!
  2. I'm relieved that i'm not the only one with the same problem. I thought I was abnormal. I haven't given up and I continue to workout and eat healthy. HANG IN THERE ladies!! We can do this!!
  3. @Babestaaa- Thanks I will def check out michael's or AC Moore, those are my favorite stores right now @Mochamakes3- I'll check it out, lord knows I don't have time for anything these days.
  4. I agree with you all. I have had the same questions asked and I've reminded them about 911. We all live in NY and have this tragedy to remember for the rest of our lives. I tell them all the time.... We we're attacked by terrorists and thousands were killed in the heart of NYC and you're worried about some drug cartel at the border, which is miles and miles away from cancun? I'm done....those that want to be there will, those that don't can just stay behind because I'm not going to put up with negative comments or frowns. I'm getting married on the beach in cancun, as planned.
  5. @DeAngelis2be- I have a silly question. Should I add an extra day of no carbs because I cheated?
  6. AWESOME!! You're my inspiration!! LOL I'm on day 4 of the south beach diet and everything was going great, up until yesterday. I baked a cake for the family, which was a big mistake!! Every time I walked into the kitchen, the delicious looking cake kept staring me in the face. I finally gave into temptation and had a small piece. Boy was it so GOOD!! Then I remembered the purpose of this whole healthy eating thing and how badly I want it. So, I did my Jillian michael's 30 day shred. I didn't feel guilty or bad for myself after having the piece of cake. Funny thing is i'm not really a cake and cookie person. I fell off the wagon once and now i'm sticking to my guns and will ride this out because I really want this!! No more baking in my house. If the family wants cake, they better have it at a restaurant. LOL Are you following any of the south beach diet recipes or your own?
  7. I have had the same problem. I've worked my butt off and haven't lost much weight. I've worked out 6 days a week for the last 3 weeks and gained 5 lbs. My future BIL who is a personal trainer said that I may have been consuming too much carbs. He may have been right. so, I decided to start with the south beach diet, i'm on day 3 and I feel fine. Hopefully this will make a difference because somethings got to give!! I alternate my daily workouts from Insanity to Jillian michael's 30 shred/Jackie warner. I take sundays as my rest day. One thing my future BIL mentioned that made sense was how many calories I should consume for my weight loss. He said... Take desired weight, multiply by 10-12 for calories per day. Example: 160 X 10= 1600 (per day). Your carb consumption should be between 50-75 grams of carbs per day. 75 grams of carb is the maximum.
  8. @mmcst38... for chocolate cravings eat dark chocolate. You won't over indulge because a small piece will satisfy the crave. Good Luck!
  9. Although I have seemed to fall off the wagon for I've gained 3 more pounds, I decided to push back my South beach diet plan, due to ladies night on Saturday. It wouldn't have been fun to sit at dinner with friends and not eat whatever I wanted and have cocktails. With that said... I've already purchased the items needed for my meals and will begin my South beach diet today!! I have the super quick cook book to help me with a decent selection of food choices, so I don't get bored with my meals because lord knows i'm so sick of chicken! LOL I'm so ready to get rid of this fat!! LOL I will post results of my weigh in, after 7 days. Stay Tuned.....
  10. You can definitely do it!! Start now and stick with it.
  11. Beautiful!! I have the same ring but in white gold and a little under 2 carats.
  12. That's a great idea!! Where can I find these gum paste flowers?
  13. With the south beach diet you give up carbs and sweets for the first phase, which is 2 weeks. Then you begin phase 2. In phase 2 you reintroduce GOOD carbs such as whole grains, oats, fruit etc.... Two weeks with no carbs would not be a problem for me because I've stayed away from most carbs since I started eating healthy. The only carbs i've been consuming are the healthy carbs such as oatmeal, bananas, pita bread. You'll find that some fruit contains carbs. Sounds like your metabolism has hit a plateau. If you'd like to lose some more weight, you have to change up your work out regimen. You have will power.... Good for you
  14. I agree.... it's your wedding day and money was spent. Make every bit of it worth your while. Be persistent and fight for what you want.
  15. Just trying to help my BDW brides!! You're very welcomed
  16. I had the same question. I'm still waiting for a reply from my WC and it's been over 1 week. Hopefully someone can answer this question for i'm starting to lose my mind. LOL
  17. I found this recipe on "protein pancakes" in a fitness magazine. At first I was a bit skeptical but I decided to try it out and it's pretty GOOD!! Nutrition score per pancake: 260 calories per pancake, 3g Fat, 25g protein Protein Pancakes (makes six) In a bowl combine 1/2 cup of rolled oats, 1/2 cup fat-free cottage cheese, 1/2 cup egg whites, a teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of cinnamon. Take a non-stick skillet, spray with cooking spray and heat up. Pour 1/4 cup of batter in at a time to make 1 pancake. Cook 2 minutes per side, or until lightly browned. Serve with a drizzle of agave nectar and fresh berries (blackberries, blueberries, etc...) It smells great while cooking and it's very filling
