So you negotiated with Ana? Do you mind if I ask what specific things you negotiated price on? (You don't have to mention prices at all, just things like.. centerpieces, etc!) And good for you for negotiating and getting a cheaper price!
  2. I like option number 3 the best, but option number 1 is a very close second! I think either way you can't go wrong.. all great ideas

This process is so frustrating and not knowing what I need and do not need from Ana is starting to wear on my nerves!! ha ha!! Here is another link to photos if anyone is interested. It looks like they had their ceremony on the pool deck I actually like the set up of the chairs w/o bows so I might forget about my chair bows. Also, I love her flowers and I am assuming this is what mine will look like since I want pink callas. Stephanie & Raoul I did the same thing.. when it started frustrating me and just being a source of aggrivation instead of joy I took a week or so off and didn't even THINK about anything wedding related It helped! But for everyone who seems to think destination weddings are "no stress" they are crazy. If one more person says this to me I might scream! I feel like it's more stress because nobody answers your questions like they would for a regular wedding!

My fiance doesn't want to be married on the sand, and I really did not care for the look of their gazebo. What did you think about the alternate location? Mindy - this wasn't my wedding, just a review of someone elses who posted it on the Dreams Riviera Cancun facebook page So I don't really know any other information about her wedding. I'm not sure what the location is called, but maybe you can include a link to the pictures in an e-mail to Ana and ask if you could get married in the same location as that bride!
  8. Oh, I think these pictures have been posted here before but wasn't sure if the review was
  9. Hey ladies, saw this on the Dreams Riviera Cancun facebook page and figured I'd share it here for those who haven't seen it: We just got back from our wedding at Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort and it is one of the most beautiful properties we have stayed at. We travel often and we were, as was everyone in our group of 45 people, extremely pleased with the property, spa, food and staff. No one had anything bad to say. (However, some of the parents commented that they were mislead about the Emperor's Club. They were told before booking that they could leave children there and receive a pager, but once there that service was denied). Nevertheless, we actually referred several people to the resort before we even got there. We have nothing but great things to say to all who have asked about our trip back here at home. We're quite certain there will be a few more guests in the future, as well as a few within our group that have expressed interest in another visit there. Regarding our wedding. Ours was a week of sunshine, except for the two hours we needed for our outdoor pool gazebo ceremony. If you are planning a wedding here, the only thing you need to have is a good Plan B in case it rains. The resort photographers are absolutely amazing. They were kind enough to give us another photo shoot the next morning in the sun on the beach, which gave us an unbelievable collection of photos. If you want to see their work, here is the link to the slideshow they made for us Nelli & Ivica
  10. I think we're going to either switch to an adults only resort or go to Jamaica for our honeymoon
  11. I'm considering putting just one table runner on a round table as well - and like sweetiecat said you can also look into overlays to decorate round tables!
  12. Welcome to the forum & congratulations!

Thanks for the info I don't like seafood as well and was a little put off by all the seafood options for dinner!
  18. Hi Melissa and welcome to the forum!!
  19. Hi Sarah! Welcome to the forum We're using a travel planner who specializes in destination weddings - we just thought it would be less stressful to have somebody who knows what they're doing helping us & our guests plan and book our travel. Plus she had so much info on the resorts, she really helped us narrow down our options and ultimately pick our final choice Best of luck on your planning!
