    Welcome!! Sandals looks like they have gorgeous weddings! Sandals Jamaica was my first choice as well, but unfortunately it didn't work out since I have my two nieces in my wedding. Best of luck with your planning though

    I think my fiance and I will get legally married before our wedding as well, I don't want to waste time doing blood work etc. & spend the extra money! Plus nurses here in the states always have a hard time finding a "good vein" so the last thing I want in my pictures is a bruised up arm with multiple needle marks!

    Welcome and congrats! It's very overwhelming at first - I felt the same way! But I started working with a travel agent which helped immensely since we seemed to have no preference of one location over another. Too many options! Best of luck on your planning

    Coley, We decided on the Dreams Riviera Cancun resort. We're working with a travel agent so it definitely helped to narrow down our choices. We also liked Dreams Tulum but felt it was too long of a drive from the airport for our guests. I completely feel you on the stress of picking a resort - you want it to be just right since everybody is traveling there at your request! Our TA said that everybody she has had do their DW at Dreams has not been disappointed, and I saw on here that everybody seemed pretty pleased with their Dreams wedding so that's what sold it for me Good luck!

    Thanks everyone! Just thought I would update this to say that we picked Dreams Riviera Cancun and are getting married in November of this year! Woohoo!

    Welcome and congrats Coley! I live in Chicago and also got engaged in December We're doing a DW in November at a Dreams resort.. you'll find a ton of great information on here. It's been fantastic so far

    Hi everybody! I got engaged in early December and am now trying to plan a destination wedding for Fall 2010 in Mexico. We're looking at both Dreams Riviera Cancun and Dreams Tulum but are still waiting to hear about what dates are available, and more about the wedding options at these two resorts
