Who are you thinking of for guitar and mariachi, if you don't mind me asking? We've talked with David Flores and DJ Mijares (I believe he plays guitar as well), but never made a final decision, obviously, lol! Since we are only having the videographer tape our ceremony with highlights (like first dance, cutting of the cake, etc.) of the reception I really wanted someone live for the ceremony. The guitarist she recommended me is Daryl Currie. I have seen some of his posts on the site but I havent really read too much about other girls using him. I hear alot of good things about David Flores, I emailed him a while back but he never responded. When you talked with him did he send you an audio or video recording of him playing. It makes me a little uneasy booking someone who I have not heard play before. This is who she recommended for Mariachis: Mariachis Jaliciense
  3. I really wanted a band but I felt since my group is small (max 35-40) that the band would be a little too much for such a small group. Im still debating it but I do plan on having a guitarist for the ceremony and mariachis for cocktail hour so at least there will be some live music... I keep telling myself I gotta scale down somewhere (budget wise) but its hard when there is always something that is a little nicer.
  4. I am working with Jenny at Baja Weddings to pick out a DJ and she ref Joaquin at Pacific Sound Pacific Sound DJ - Disc Jockey Industry in Los Cabos and Alex at Cabo Salsa who doesnt have a website. Have any of you researched them? She also ref me to Cabo Flowers for the floral. I have found some helpful links about them but I was just wondering if you looked at them and what you thought.

  6. Thanks Donie.. I just want to make sure that I dont confuse anyone.
  7. I had a Cabo del Sol question... the signature of the coordinator Luz Maria says Cabo San Lucas, but I have heard its in Los Cabos. Also, what location are you girls using for save the dates etc? Cabo del Sol, Cabo del Sol Clubhouse, Cabo del Sol Golf Club.....?
  8. Yay! Im in Spring (North of Houston) and our date is June 17th, 2011 at Cabo Del Sol, Los Cabos, Mexico. I would love to meetup!

I have been using Latisse for a couple months now and I LOVE IT!!! I looked into using it after I had some eyelash extensions that pulled out most of my middle lashes, I was frantic to say the least. A girl I work with started using it and I saw results on her in about 2 weeks... so I made an apt with my eye doctor and I got it. Not only did my lashes that were little broken stubs grow back but the good lashes I had grew longer and thicker. When I first started using it I was doing it every night, but now that I have my lashes the length and thickness I want I only do it every 3-4 nights to maintain. My Insurance actually covered the script since it is also used to treat glaucoma when used directly in the eye so it ended up only being $35 and the bottle has lasted 2 months and its not empty by any means. I would recommend it to anyone.
  11. Congrats on your save the dates! They look awesome!!! I hope my post card std from her look as good!!
  12. I can relate to the overwhelming part! I think my problem was I was trying to make all the decisions at once... I found that focusing on what needs be done first and then working down the list helps a bit, but yes after I found my venue and booked my date a big weight was lifted off my shoulders. Now if Im feeling a little stressed I walk away and go out for some margaritas! ha ha Good luck on booking your date!!
  13. Hey Ladies... How can I get added to the starfish list? My wedding is June 17th, 2011 in Cabo and would love to have the starfish as a reminder of this awesome site and all the brides who have inspired me so much! xoxo
  14. Donie you will have to keep me updated on your progress. Have you made a website yet? Without having the pricing, flight info etc mine seems kinda empty...
  15. Congrats! We set our date a couple weeks ago and its finally official... June 17th 2011 at Cabo del Sol!

  17. Kiwi Bride I am talking to Luz Maria at Cabo Del Sol, she is a sweetheart. Her email is [email protected]
  18. Wow!! Great job, those look great! I was debating on doing the passport save the dates myself but I found someone on the forum... I am a perfectionist and I would prob pull out my hair if I had to do them by myself. I am stressing already just to figure out what to put on them. What are you planning on doing for your invitations?
  19. Those look amazing!! Great job you are inspiring me... If you are wanting to sell the remainder of your luggage tags.. I need 50 if you still have them. Thanks!!
