I am planning on shredding paper in our wedding colors and having that as the "padding" in the shipping boxes. So each person we are inviting will get a package in the mail instead of an envelope. We are requesting our guests respond by May 1st even though our wedding isn't until the end of October. But I need to get a handle on a budget. We are hopefully sending them out by the end of January. I LOVE the message in a bottle idea. I am going to try to incorporate somewhere into the wedding. Thanks for sharing!! When you get them finished, please post a picture.
  2. Thanks SOOOOO much for posting these links to photos. I think this has pretty much sealed the deal for my fiance and I. This place looks awesome - I've just been having such a hard time finding photos of weddings done there. Again - many, many thanks for sharing!! Not surprisingly, the staff is superb and the location speaks for itself. We were recently shooting a small wedding (5 guests) really 7 because Sol and I were invited for dinner with the Bride and Groom, her mom and dad, and her little baby girl. She is a BDWF bride and actually recently posted her review here on this thread. Visualization when virtually planning takes you a LONG LONG way... Vincent | Stephanie and Shane Sol | Teresa and Joe Sol | Victor and Julie One of the PRIMARY benefits Ceiba has is its beautiful pier location. This is the perfect spot for dusk weddings, private dinners and small receptions. I'm almost sold that one visit to this spot and you will FALL IN LOVE...like we did... wow, its amazing. Here are a few images... First two are the pier location... LOVE the turquoise waters that the RM is known for! Here is a view from one of the Penthouse suites...Vanessa is our model With such a tiny wedding, we highly recommend the end of the pier (no under the palapa because lighting is difficult underneath when its bright outside... also why we recommend dusk light. You can see how beautiful the dusk light is here...just wowser! Hope this helps visualize the spot!
  3. I think this site is a finalist for us. Hoping to decide on a place for sure this week. What room prices did you get? Did you go with the EP or All-Inclusive plans?
  4. Interesting. We are looking at Dreams Riviera as a potential spot - but we haven't made the official decision yet. I'd also be interested to find out if they do more than 1 wedding/day there. Any info would help!!
  5. Can anyone tell me what room rates you are finding at Ceiba for both the regular (European Plan) and also for the All inclusive plan? Does the EP plan include breakfast? thanks! -Allegra

    Hello

Hi everyone!! I just got engaged last month and am in the beginning 'throws' of planning a destination spot. We are looking at Mexico/DR/US Virgin Islands. We just found Ceiba del Mar in Riviera Maya and it looks fabulous. Any advice on this venue would be great.
