Do any of you know if we have the choice for Juan Navarro still for the ceremony photography? It seems like the recent weddings have all been shot by Adventure Photos. Thanks! Same here. I've e-mailed her 3 times in the past two weeks and I've heard nothing. At least she's responding to a few lucky girls.

I believe Ana has an assistant now, but sounds like that still isn't enough. Also sounds like DRC is overbooking themselves a bit.

And if you're out there...can you please just confirm contacting Ana at a particular e-mail address?

Has anyone else gotten an automated e-mail respons back when trying to e-mail the above address? I got a message indicating Ana's new e-mail address is: [email protected] However, I've tried to e-mail her at both addresses and haven't gotten any response. 9. Laura and Carina, I know you both had your own photographers (and also used the resort photographers as supplemental...) but would you have trusted the resort photographers for the entire wedding (i understand it would be an additional cost outside of the package because you'd probably need to add a few hours). Just looking for advice.

I will look for the post tomorrow and put it on here. If you do not have a TA you would think they would upgrade us for making us brides be some stressed out. lol But I do not see that happening. Oh - I am interested in instructions for that VIP letter also! Thanks.

Can you post it on the forum?

When we sat down to meet with her, she said that was not possible anymore. Since the resort has their own photographers, the management will not allow her to substitute anything for photos. So, we decided to use them for our Welcome Dinner. I am so glad that we did because we got great pictures!! We got 50 pictures, which is what is included in the Ultimate Package...I love every single one of them!! We also decided to have them take our pictures a few days after the wedding and we have some great pictures from that too!! Anel was the one who took the pictures of our welcome dinner and Jorge took our other pictures. They both did a fantastic job and they are super nice people. If you are using them for your wedding photos, I think that you will be very happy!! Hi Laura - Thanks for all the info! Looking forward to seeing some of your photos if you're able to post them. How many guests did you have? What did you guys do for the Welcome Dinner? Did you have it in a private room or did you do something private after everyone ate dinner? thanks, Allegra

Not sure if I believe this entirely though since I have heard that one of the buildings does get sun on the plunge pools and they are ok? (Any of you girls that did site visits, please feel free to comment) So now we are thinking about just an oceanview or oceanfront suite. I also love the idea of the Master Suite or Governor Suite so that everyone would have room to get ready, but it is quite a bit of money to upgrade this much obviously. Plus for us, it's not much more for the Governor than it is for the Master (relatively speaking) so even if we did decide on a suite we're not sure which one of these would be best! Ugh, I don't know!!! The good news is that all the rooms do look amazing Hey Angela, Are you doing a videographer also, or just the photographer? We haven't finalized anything yet. We might have a family friend do our photos - but we're thinking we might want a video also. Our weddings are 4 days apart, so maybe there will be some things we can share.... -Allegra

Interesting...thanks for the info.

They will also hold your cake for you in the kitchen so that you can have it out at your dinner, as long as you pick the site ahead of time. -I also recieved a file with the free boquet options if anyone would like to see them. 20. Hi girls, I am officially part of the group now. We just confirmed our wedding date for 12/12/10! YAY!! We are so excited.

So, I found also that there is someone, who is also on the forum, who makes these. Her name is Mishka from Mishka Designs. She is super nice and her maracas are hand painted and really pretty. She is in Puerto Vallarta and will ship the maracas directly to the resort. I thought this was great..they look beautiful and I don't have to worry about buying them down there or packing them to take with me! Here is her website... Mishka Designs' Blog: A Maraca By Any Other Name... and here is the thread about her work... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...maracas-51655/ By the way...I just noticed my ticker is down to just days...yikes!! I love the maraca idea! Thanks so much for sharing. Ana might be seeing a lot of maracas this year :-)

We are flying our rabbi from home in for the wedding, but he is only doing a religious ceremony so we are legally getting married at the courthouse before we leave for Mexico(so romanic:). If you have any more questions on where I got things for the ceremony (i.e. yarmukles, ketubah, etc.) feel free to PM me. Good luck planning! Alexis Hi Alexis (and fellow Cali bride), We haven't finalized our site or date yet, but we are hoping to get married sometime in December in the Riviera Maya area. After much discussion and debate over the issue, I think we are also going to just go to the courthouse and get our license before heading to Mexico. Then, do the religious ceremony down there. I'd love to hear what you are doing about yarmukles, ketubah, etc.! Thanks, Allegra

Anyone else able to help answer this? I haven't been able to find the previous posts w/info on the indoor ceremony and reception options.
  25. Welcome! Does anyone know what the bad weather option(s) is/are for ceremony and receptions at DRC
