  1. Hey Promise12! The best person to contact regarding the resort policies would be their on-site coordinator. Remember it is your special day and if you are not 100% happy with their inhouse photographer, stick to your guns and let them know you would like to bring in your own. There are always creative ways around such issues. I've put together a WIKI for Choosing Your Wedding Photographer with some insider's tips. Hope it helps!

  7. I've done many wedding shoots at the Barcelo Maya! It is a gorgeous resort with so many different facets and feelings. I believe the outside vendor fees varied between $300 to $400 USD. Your wedding coordinator would definitely be the right person to contact. You can check out some of my shoots at the Barcelo Maya on MY BLOG! Happy Planning!
  8. Outside Photographers allowed???
  9. The hotels mentioned are all very different. As mentioned in other posts, you should definitely check Ceiba del Mar's new policies and owners (there has been a lot of talk of it changing its concept to clothing-optional). I've done beautiful photo shoots at Amarte! Check out the shoot on MY BLOG. While I have not been to the Fairmont, I have done a gorgeous shoot at the Banyan Tree Mayakoba and the class, style, and beauty of the Mayakoba complex is un-matched. It has a richness to it that truly adds to the magic. Check out the Mayakoba shoot on MY BLOG as well. Here are a few comparison pictures as well: AMARTE Hotel Banyan Tree, Mayakoba

  11. Welcome! Make sure you check out the following thread: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/56614/any-ceiba-del-mar-brides/200#post_1717198 where they do discuss the changing concept issue at length. It seems many brides are very disappointed and many have opted out of the new "clothing-optional" concept resort. Do make sure you get all the info from your wedding planner! Happy Planning!
