  1. Hello ladies! i am having a beach wedding. The colors will be a deep champagne and black. (tuxedos, dresses, and so on) But i was thinking for the recepiton do it in turqouise and bright (almost hot) pink. What do you think? Everyone will still be dress in champagne and black., but with turquoise and pink centerpieces, cake, table runners. and so on. I would just like your opinion on if you think it would look nice or tacky. thank you!
  2. hy are the shells still available? would you take any less for them?
  3. If you have any of the table runners left I could use some. please let me know. Thanks
  4. Hey I need large ostrich feathers for the reception. Either black, champagne, white or off white. I need quite a few. Let me know if you have them & how much you want for them. Or if you know of somewhere that I can find them for a good price. Thanks!
  5. I think that once you get everyone together, and they get to talking and having some drinks I'm sure the time will fly by. I've seen on some other posts on this forum people have done games and things. I'm sure that everything will be fine.

I am glad I saw this post Hey Beach Bride! Congrats on your wedding. I'm a little on the busy side, but I like the "go, go, go" of it all I just got my contract with Jerome. It's gonna cost 1800 for 5 hours and 1 hour the next morning for a trash the dress session. One of those hours is paid by the Hilton, so if you aren't doing it at the hilton or you want more hours just add 300$(her hour) to the 1800 quote. He also has a second photographer for 100$ an hour if you would like that. My wedding coordinator gave me a list of the photographers they use if you would like that list?... Just let me know, I check the forum every couple of hours. Good luck girl!!!!
  7. We haven't signed a contract yet, but I have talked to Tathiana through email. She hasn't responded to my email about vendors yet though. (It's been about a week.) I have talked to Jennifer Hattonand I'm pretty sure we will get her to do the cakes. Our photographer said he works with the Hilton and I've taken the flower advice of going with Mazarte Floral. We originally were going to go with Florenta, but they don't do work with Hilton. Thanks for all the help ladies! OH! I almost forgot Have any of you used the Hiltons spa for your make-up and hair? I haven't heard anything about them and not sure if I want to use them or not :/
  8. Hey I also got engaged on Christmas And we too are having a Mexican wedding in January of 2011. I know you said you wanted it near cancun, but have you concidered Cabo san Lucas, In the Baja (BCS)? We stayed at the Hilton there last year for my fiance's birthday. AMAZING!!!!! The beach was beautiful. No Seaweed at all! When we started planning the wedding we looked at each other and said "CABO!" It is a true paradise. I can't express how wonderful this place is. Look up some photos or if you would like I could send you pictures. I've never been to Cancun, but it is a pretty big tourist place. A lot of my friends have been and everytime I hear it is crowded. When we went to Cabo, I think that there was maybe 10-15 other people at the Hilton. ...and if I'm not mistaken -Dec.-March is their main tourist months. Other than that everything is pretty much calm, so if you wanted something more personal with not a lot of tourists, that would be another reason for Cabo, but that depends on your personality along with your wedding party/guests. Just some food for thought Congradulations on the wedding, It'll be a wonderful day, no matter where you end up. best wishes!
  9. Hilton los Cabo. 100.00 for 50 minutes. Best 100.00 I've ever spent. I don't know if it's only available for guests at the hotel or not.
  10. okay great! I've heard quite a few people mention them. I don't know why I haven't checked them out yet. I'll go look into them now. THANK YOU!!!! -also we have decided to go with Jerome Dieu at mango weddings.
  11. Thanks! that helps a bunch. I also have noticed some of the Hilton brides saying that they could only use hiltons vendors. I haven't been able to contact my WC to make sure yet. I am mainly worried about the photographer, we are having a very private ceremony and will need a lot of great pictures to show our family and friends. I have checked out Gilda Badillo she does good work and has a nice price. I've heard a bunch of people mention Juan Carlos. I haven't checked out his work yet (but plan to as soon as I get done with this posting If this helps anyone I have also contacted Jerome Dieu and Daniel Jireh. They both do work at the Hilton. I'm a little more at ease with the florists. I'm only a bridezilla when it comes to the photography lol, but I do need to get in contact with them to see if they can have the flowers I am wanting. I need Black calla lilies and the only lady I've talked to that could get them doesn't work with the Hilton. So if anybody could help me out with emails or websites. I really really need to talk to some people. Thanks again for the help!
  12. Okay ladies, you talked me into it. I was considering it and once I saw all of the pictures, I know I have to do it. You ladies look beautiful! Do any of you know of anyone that does bd photos in TN?

The car was inexpensive, a cute little VW. We had to get insurance through them or it would have been 2,000usd to rent the car for the week. The gas gauge also didn't work. So you might want to keep an eye on that. We stayed at the Hilton and it cost us $50.00 to go to and from Cabo san Lucas around the mall and stuff. Traffic got a little crazy here and there. there were people driving on the side of the road and stuff. If you only plan on staying close to the resort for the most part I wouldn't worry about renting a car, if you plan on going out a lot or going to Todos Santos (amazing place. Check out Art&Beer if you go) or La Paz I would rent a car. Hope that helps a little.
  14. I've stayed at the Hilton and LOVED it, when we got engaged and decided on a destination wedding, we knew it had to be at the Hilton. I on't think you'll be disappointed. The people there are great, they called ahead for any of the activies we wanted to do, and we spent most of our time at the hotel. There was really no reason to leave. They had it all. Great place to be. They make you feel like part of their family.
  15. Hey everyone! I'm getting married at the Hilton in January 2011. I've just started planning. I've been looking for photographers, florists,& cake decorators. Money is an issue, have any of you worked with people that are good and not too pricey? I've seen a couple of people I would like to go with, but it seems like most of the people I have received a reply from don't work with the Hilton. So can you give me any help? I want AMAZING pictures so I'm willing to do a little higher if needed. Please give me your thoughts. Thanks!!! Oh and do you know if the Hilton will let you bring in your own people if I can't find one I like that they work with?

We LOVED their resort, we chose them to do our wedding Jan. 2011. They have a little deli in the hotel that carries mexican beers as well as mexican cigars. hope that helps a little
