Your Own children in wedding
bnbrmy replied to Megan24's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I think you should include him as well. I think you might end up regretting not having him in it. I don't see any reason to keep him out of it, he's gonna know one day that he was born before you were married, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Let him join in on the fun, it will be great for him to be able to celebrate with his mom and dad. -
congrats! I'm sure it was the perfect day

bnbrmy replied to Lorimc52's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Yeah we had one of the lighted pool fountains in our pool before, it worke for a long time. Just keep recipts in case 1 is defective. I think that would be beautiful! I also like the lilly pad idea, maybe have some flowers or flower petals sprinkled in the water (?) -
We are getting married in Cabo in January, which is one of the main tourist months so we went ahead an booked ourselves a suite, due to the fact availability might not be very high at that time. I think May is a big time for Cancun tourists so I would say you might have issues with availability. I would definately talk to your TA

Non AI Brides: Speak Up! :)
bnbrmy replied to [email protected]'s topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
I haven't discussed meals with our photographer, I assumed that I would invite him to eat with us, after he got a few shots of the reception or order him room service before it started. He is a Cabo base photographer that has worked at the Hilton (we are also getting married there), so maybe the Hilton has it worked out in the package that his meal will be covered. I should probably research this a little myself. -
Not going all out with decor
bnbrmy replied to Megan24's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
The only things I'm doing extra is OOT bags, a single center piece, extra photography and we are bringing real tough bouquets. The venue does the arch, sashes, 1hr. photog, cake and a bouquet (i'm using that one to spread down the aisle. So they have anything else I will need. -

Well if the 17 year old moves in with you, then he does not have to pay child support for her. If his ex has issues with it then it will go to court where he can explain that the child is in his care. When you take on a relationship when chilren are involved, then there is no room to be selfish. Maybe the aughter is unhappy where she is, or maybe she just wants to spen more time with you guys. She is part of your family now and if your FI wants her there then you should respect that, because that's his daughter.

Hello! Well if you read my past post, we have switched colors for our wedding. AFTER I already bought stuff for the old colors. Size 8. retails for $250 never worn but might need to be cleaned from where people tried it on at the store. Black and Carmel Bridesmaid Dresses and Formal Dresses by Bill Levkoff in New York here's a link to the site. let me know if youre interested. oh! and I'm selling it for 150.00

I don't know, I'm with you. First you have to tell them that you are only having 1 for bride 1 for groom, then if you ask them to go ahead and join, they might feel bad because they were't good enough first and when they see the groom has multiple people, they might think that you lied because they were told you both were only having 1 person. If he is unwilling to budge on the matter, you could just explain that you two have discussed the issue and you both decided to add more people, and the reason is because you would like all of your close friends to be a special part of it.

Oh yeah, see when we buried my brother we played simple man and we played free bird when we buried my mom, I was thinking about doing those to remember them, but I know that I wouldn't be able to use those and not loose it completely. So that's why we chose something a little easier to swallow. Don't get me wrong, I think memory poems are beautiful, but I get so sad when I read them and didn't want to spend my wedding day being sad. So that's why we when the route we did.

This site has helped me sooo much and I wanted to start a thread for poems and lyrics you could use for invitations, message in a bottle...whatever you prefer.( I'm not sure if I put this thread in the right section or not) okay, I am putting together a little packet (including welcome letter, family of bride and groom, wedding party, timeline for the day of and so on) for our OOT bags We are not having a big wedding and their will be some people that we want there or they want to be there but they are unable to come for various reasons so I wanted to include them in some way, also I have lost quit a few family members and wanted to include them in some way, but the "in memory" poems break my heart so I wanted to do something a little more light hearted and this is what I came up with- there is a band, Incubus, and they have a song called "wish you were here" I dig my toes into the sand The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds Strewn across a blue blanket I lean against the wind Pretend that I am weightless And in this moment I am happy I wish you were here I lay my head onto the sand The sky resembles a back lit canopy With holes punched in it I'm counting UFOs I signal them with my lighter And in this moment I am happy I wish you were here The world's a roller coaster And I am not strapped in Maybe I should hold with care But my hands are busy in the air saying: I wish you were here - Brandon Boyd Also we are doing a "this day in history" page which is where you put your vows for each other (if you write them yourselves) or how you met. Basically whatever you want. I found this poem that I decided to use for ours. Yesterday today & tomorrow: Cherished are the memories that brought us here to this day For yesterday was a dream… A wish to contemplate. A fantasy where in my mind, A fleeting glimpse I’d see… A vision of the true desires I longed for endlessly. And when I dreamed, I did not know The love I’d feel today; The height of my true feelings, And the depths they would portray. And if I had one wish today, A simple wish t’would be… Is that the love we feel this moment, Lasts eternally. Reality has merged now As you stand here by my side; And as I join your hand in mine, My heart does fill with pride For as I pledge my love to you, I see in many ways, Reflections of my love for you Are mirrored in your gaze. And by our presence here today, And for the love we share, I thank you for our yesterdays That brought us to be here. But more than this, I vow to you My wishes yet to come… Tomorrow’s dreams and fantasies, This day that we are one. Tomorrow’s an adventure That we’ll share together now; Our future’s intertwined forever, Through this holy vow. I promise to remember In the future years and days, The love I feel for you this moment… …Dreams fulfilled today. For in the coming years as we Move on, and reminisce, Back to the day I stood with you And promised with a kiss… That blessed are the days that I have looked into your eyes, And felt the warmth and love reflect, The essence of our lives ***** Yesterday we dreamed of what might be; Today we validate our love; And tomorrow we will cherish the life we have shared as one. - Kit McCallum For any fellow cabo brides a guy named toby keith (country singer, I think) has a song calleded Cabo san Lucas. I've never heard the song, so I don't know if it would be good to play at a reception or anything, but I took some of the lyrics and am putting it at the bottom of the page. (this would be cute in an invitation) “I’ll show you the stars and the moon on the sea of Cortez And the beach at San Juan as the sun’s sinking down in the West In Cabo, Cabo San Lucas Way down in Mexicoâ€

I took him to cabo for his birthday and we fell in love with it. We are getting married at the hotel we stayed at, too. When the wedding subject came up we knew it would take place in Cabo.
