I don't have an order of the ceremony yet, that is my next big thing to tackle. Vendors - DJ Mannia, Photo Souvenir, WCs - Karelyn, Ana and Isuyeny. I have not been assigned my officiant yet. I heard Pastor York is great, so I think I will request him. Extras I am taking - definitely sashes for the chairs, favor boxes (probably filled with candy)for the reception and placecards, cake topper (not sure about knife and toasting glasses yet), guestbook, most importantly a lap top and USB cords, so we can do a docking station for everyone's computer, then after the wedding we want to send a CD of all the pics to everyone that attended Two big things I'm not sure about is OOT bags. Most of the people that are attending are part of the wedding and will be receivng gifts. If we do OOT bags it will be simple necessities - advil, bug spray, sunscreen, etc. Centerpieces - I think this will be decided when I see how much luggage I have. I will definitly bring a few things (yellow confetti stars for the table - our first dance song is yellow by coldplay), probably some small tealight candles, beyond that it depends on luggage. I am NOT bringing a drape, so can't help you with that. Finally vidoegrapher. We didnt' budget for it, but I would love to borrow a video camera from a friend and just press record for the ceremony. Hi Ladies - It's been a while since I have been on the forums. I am getting married Aug. 6, 2010 - Almost Here!! I am finally hitting crunch time, so I am really enjoying catching up on all that you have been doing, for inspiration!! I still feel like there are a million things to do, but I'm ready. Also I am now in constant contact with the WC's so I will be sure to add info to the boards as I get it

Wow - I forgot about this post. Obviously my first in my wedding planning We chose Excellence and we are set to be married on Aug. 6, 2010. I am very pleased so far and I will continue to keep you all in the loop on how it goes!! PS - for us price (both wedding and resort) played a huge role in our decision, as well as activities and restaurants...Lisa

Hi Ladies - I've been out of the loop for the last couple weeks. There have been some great updates from you all, I will have to go over everything again. Boston - Awesome timeline. That will help! And I know me and my girls will need some raft time that day So we are definitely having our reception by the pool and ceremony on the beach woohoo!! I am working on locking down DJ Mannia company- does anyone have a suggestion for the actual DJ? Boston I know you loved your person - do you have a name? I think we are going to go with Photo Souvenir. Does anyone have a suggestion on the actual photographer. Finally has anyone started picking their bridesmaid bouquets - just curious to hear what people are choosing. Bulldog - less than 2 months!! I am excited for you! I think they also have the gazebo option - but there might be a limit on guests, just based on the size of the gazebo. But I think that would be sandless I hadn't even thought about cocktail hour locations...eek...my list of decisions gets bigger EVERY day

We will also be getting married before. We are going to have my Fs brother (can't come to the Dominican) there and any special friends that can't make it either (all of my friends are in baby making mode which is putting a damper on traveling). We will keep it quiet and small. I won't lie, but I won't bring it up and we definitely won't wear our rings. I also really won't partake in any traditions of a wedding, which to me are a large part of the day. So this is just legal mumbo jumbo - your guests will understand. Wouldn't it be the same, if you didn't get married before and it got so screwed up with translation and such, that you still had to do it after...think of it that way.

Well that makes my initial decision seem even better!! The pool it is. Note to self - get cute bikini to wear under dress at the end of the reception for the obligatory dunking in the pool - because you know it's going to happen!! My Next question - DJs - So far the only one I have heard by name that I can remember is DJ Mannia (thanks Boston). Seems great - any other suggestions if he is not available? I feel like most people are doing their receptions by the pool. Any feedback on beach receptions? Can you dance? I am leaning towards the pool, but just want to make sure I am not missing anything! Thanks Lisa!

I went with mypunchbowl.com. It was a success!! Some cute option where you could incorporate photos and it was all free!
