I am with the poster above me FI and I had a baby girl in April. So waiting is not in the cards for us. My bestfriend however waited until her wedding night and I remember the next day she came out (also a destination wedding) and said why didn't anyone tell me how much that hurt haha it was cute

Well ladies i headed to the gym today to start my couch to 5k and it really wasn't that bad hopefully I can keep it up

I have just started a couch to 5k Ipod app so I did my first one today. It feels great but my legs are super tired

I paid for my dress at the reasonable price of $452.00 my mom is helping with all of the DIY Projects and my Dad is offering to upgrade us to the Honeymoon suite for our stay. FI and I are paying for everything else for the wedding.

I have had a few emails regarding this subject and I simply told my guests that they are welcome to stay at another resort but they are required to buy a day pass to come on to the resort for the day of the wedding. I picked a very budget friendly resort and have found some very good deals for people so they should have no problem staying at the resort we have chosen.

I had this same question I am going with 30 I think that is a nice round number assorted pink, orange and tan ones. I am also making my own throwies to go in them

My FI and I are doing a Wedding Tree as our Guestbook. I wanted something that we could hang out in the house when we get home from the wedding instead of something that will just sit on a shelf and get dusty. We are having people put their thumb print as the leaf and then just signing their names.

My FI and I went the book your own route, I did alot of reaserch online and also talked to a bunch of travel agents who were getting me group rates close to 1900 taxes and everything and I was finding rates online for alot cheaper then that. I didn't feel I was getting anything extra from booking with a TA and getting a group rate. I found a deal online that was 1400 taxes and everything so I know the group rate was definetly not a good deal. My FI and I also didn't have the money to put down the deposits for everyone who would have had to be fully booked by August 1st and the invitations didn't even go out till July 1st. We also had guest flying from multiple different cities making it very difficult to get package deals for everyone. This way everyone has the option of finding their best deal

Well I agree with all the ladies before me what a great thread. I just had a baby in April and will be getting married in February 2011. I would at least like to loose all the weight I gained with the baby so far I have lost 20lbs of baby weight but am at a plateau. I downloaded the couch to 5k ipod app and was doing really well but now haven't been to the gym for 2 weeks. It is really difficult because I can only go to the gym when FI is home and he works shift work so it isn't consistant. I hope to start up again Monday and hopefully stick with it this time. I have about 20lbs more to go before February to put me back to my pre pregnancy size. I already have my dress but would love to have to get it taken in. I will be checking in with everyone to see how the weight lose is working for everyone else.

O wedding budgets. Well so far this is what we have Travel - $2802 Reception - $1600 Speaker Rental - $120.00 Rings - $300.00 (not including engagement ring) Invitations - $200.00 So our total wedding budget so far is $5022.00 My FI and I did not want to go over $5000.00 so we are pretty close. Alot of stuff is being given to me as gifts. One aunt is designing and embordering my OTT bags as a wedding gift. Another aunt is purchasing all the contents to go in the OTT bags as a wedding gift so I saved money on both of those items.

I really like #1 it really suits your body shape.

My FI and I are also only having 1 attendant each and my FI Bestman is actually a girl so I am just having her stand with him and my matron of honour will walk down the isle just before me. We are going alittle untraditional especially since it is just a symbolic ceremony because we already had our Legal ceremony.

Excellent LrDavis thank you very much it is so hard to plan when you haven't heard back from the wedding coordinators. I am a ways away from the wedding but it is nice to be able to give your guests some information. In other news my FI and I officially booked our trip today. We found a deal that we just could not pass up so we just went for it. We will be at the resort from February 13-20 and we managed to get direct flights both ways which was a must since we have a little girl and didn't want to be changing plans with her and all of our stuff.

I am just wondering if it is possible to get a few veggi options for those non meat eater guests. We are planning on getting the silver dinner menu but will need to substitute a few for those veggi. Anyone have any info regarding this. I am also wondering about the option of hanging paper lanterns on the pergola above the bordeaux terrace. Thanks Ladies

Hello Fellow February 2011 Brides. I am a Dreams Punta Cana bride and will be getting married February 17th, 2011. I have already sent of the invitations and gotten 3 yes responses and 1 no so that is pretty exciting. I have also already picked out and purchased the dress and am currently working on centre pieces actually my mom is working on the centre pieces for me. We are making menu lanterns to put in the centre of each table with flowers along the bottom. I have also started working on the OTT bags I made a mock up of the bag and it looks pretty cool. My aunt is making the bags as a wedding present for me and another aunt is giving me money to buy all the stuff to go in the ott bags. I haven't picked out a maid of honour dress yet but I think I might just let her wear whatever she likes. My FI and I are only having a maid of honour and best man. Other then that I think that is all I have done so far.

The beach is nice, but I like the scenery and greenery around the gazebo more. I didn't want the audience that a beach wedding brings. We still had some onlookers, but not nearly as many as if it was on the beach. I took lots of pictures of Bordeaux terrace because that's where we were going to have our "dessert hour" with the fire dancers. When Sharron checked with the schedule of the fire dancers, they said "no way" to Bordeaux because of the wooden pergola structure. It's definitely got to be my favorite view, but we had to do Himitsu due to the fire hazard. I have family photos if you'd like me to send you some. It's the perfect place for lanterns and you can put tons of them up if you'd like!

To any of the ladies that got married on the bourdeaux terrace or have seen it would it be possible to hang Chinese lanterns around the terrace ? I have seen one pic and it looks Like there is a wood trelless on the top but I only have one picture is there ? Any help would be great

Aww Finally a thread for us Feb 2011 brides. I am getting married Feb 17th at Dreams Punta Cana. So far I have only confirmed the date. I am shopping for TA's right now and I started designing my invites. We aren't doing any STD's since everyone already knows about the planned date and location.
