LOL! Cougs, you're gorgeous and you will look totally hot in your bathsuit at any size. I totally understand when you ladies talk about your FI not wanting you to lose weight. I'm trying to lose weight for our wedding (I'm about 10 lbs heavier than when FI and I first started dating). On one hand FI is supportive, he also wants to lose about 10-15 lbs. On the other hand, he's always like, you cannot lose your curves (boobs are the first place I lose). I wish there was a magic way to lose just my jelly belly and leg jello but keep my boobs, lol. My advice to any of you waiting to buy a dress until you are the "size" you want to be, is don't do it. Go out now and try dresses on, you will feel much better about yourself. I put dress shopping off as long as I could thinking I'd lose weight (I didn't). Finally, I just went because I was running out of time. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to realize that I actually looked good in some of the dresses. There are dresses out there that will flatter you even if you don't think so now. It is also a great self esteem boost to realize there are dresses that actually look good on you. So my advice is go and try some on and see how fabulous so look!
  3. My wedding coordinator is Yarai so I can't help much with that issue. Though I would imagine there must be a manager you can speak to about your issues. With respect to the restaurant, have you reviewed this thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...rant-list-769/ It is a list of restaurants in Cabo and should help you choose one. I am doing oot bags but am planning to give them out to all our family before we leave to reduce the amount of stuff I have to take with us. Good luck with your wedding preparations. I'm sure everything will work out and you will have a beautiful wedding.
  4. Everything looks beautiful, I love your dress choice. Congratulations!!
  5. Haha, Kellis. Love it, I say be evil and do that, lol. Regifting a gift they hated to you for your wedding is just rude.
  6. Congratulations Sarah! Your photos are beautiful, you were a gorgeous bride. I'm so happy for you. I cannot wait to hear all the details at the next Toronto meet up!!
  7. Happy Wedding Day Cassie! Hope you have a fabulous wedding. I cannot wait to hear all about it! Congratulations!
  8. Wow, that is such devastating news, I can only imagine what you must be feeling. I am so sorry for your loss.
  9. Amy, that is ridiculous, so sorry to hear that.
  10. I'm in for season 10 - 9 lbs still to go.

And also, I don’t fit into my wedding dress. It fit in January, but I can’t zipper it up anymore and I don’t have enough time to lose the 21lbs I need to to get my dress altered in time for the wedding. And I am a Weight Watchers leader!!!!! I help and motivate my members every week and I’m not even at my own goal! I feel like such a hypocrite and every time I think about my dress not fitting and how fat I will look in my BD pictures it gets me so upset. Don't get discouraged. You still have plenty of time to lose weight if you want to, you just have to commit to it. As a WW leader, you already have all the tools. I'm sure you can do it and fit into your dress no problem. I would also say go ahead with the BD photos, I'm sure they will be beautiful and seeing how good you look may give you the motivation you were looking for. Good luck. Confession: I have already bought my wedding dress and TTD but all I want to do is keep dress shopping. I need to stop but it is so much fun.
  12. I know these will sell soon Di. Gorgeous dresses and they looked beautiful on you.
  13. Welcome to the October 2010 thread Bride Loving CJ! TTD is my dress for the trash the dress. We are going to do a photo session the day after the wedding on the beach and in the water so I wanted a second inexpensive dress for that as my wedding dress is silk and I didn't want to wear it in the water.
  14. I bought my TTD tonight. One of the local bridal stores was doing a twilight madness sale where the store was open till 11 and certain sample dresses were on sale for 50% or more. I decided why not go check it out as I had tried on a dress there that I really liked but it was way too expensive for my TTD. Well, of course, that one was not on sale. They only had a few chiffon flowy dresses so I decided to try them all one. Well turns out I loved one that I never would have imagined I would have liked. THe best part, it was 75% off of $450, so with taxes I paid only $120 for a TTD I love.
  15. I agree with MysTea, I think you will regret it if your mom is not there. She is your only remaining parent and she wants to be there for you, let her share in your special day. She may forget it afterwards but at least she will always have the pictures of her there with you on your wedding day to help her remember. It is your wedding, I have no doubt that other family and friends will step up to assist your mother if she needs it.
  16. Everything looks great. I love your new dress. Congratulations. Oh and congrats on the weight loss. 19 kgs is amazing, wow.
  17. Sarah, I'm so excited your day is here. You will be such a beautiful bride and I know your wedding will be fabulous. I can't wait to hear all about it at the next TO meet up and see all your gorgeous pictures. Congratulations!!
  18. Kat - everything looked so beautiful. Loved your cake. You were a gorgeous bride. I'm so glad you had an amazing time.
  19. Oh so here is the kicker, I had to order my dress in a bigger size to fit my bust. When I ordered it, it was too big in the waist and hips but fit in the bust. Well I've lost a few pounds, not much at all but now the dress is too big in the bust too. Had I ordered a size down, it probably would have fit perfect and not needed any alterations. Oh well, I am hoping to lose 9 lbs before the final alterations so I figure it would have had to be altered anyway.
  20. Hi Jayski, welcome to the October 2010 bride thread. So I went to try on my dress on Saturday and I asked them when I should have it altered. I leave for my wedding October 23rd. The salon told me I should make my first appointment for the alterations for the end of August so about 7 weeks before I leave for the wedding. I guess it is different at every salon as someone else mentioned their salon would charge them extra 7 weeks before the wedding.
  21. My caution would be to make sure that these are people who want to take photos and will actually take "serious pictures". Friends of ours did a dw elopement and then had a big AHR when they came home. They put out a series of cameras for people to take pictures during the reception. Well, after the reception when they developed them, they were pretty unhappy. There were no real pictures of the bride and groom, it was mainly all people taking pictures of themselves and friends or drunken pics.
  22. Congrats ladies, well deserved. Cassie - have an amazing trip, cannot wait to hear all about your wedding!!
