  1. Hmm, I'm on the email list for the one in Toronto. I have thought about trying out one of the classes but haven't yet. I think I will look into it. I know FI would love it. I just feel like I will be totally akward and inept at it and don't really want to make a fool of myself in front of other people.

    Cabo Bride

Hi Christina and welcome to the forum. There is a Cabo thread where you will find lots of information about Cabo photographers. I would also recommend checking wedding reviews from Cabo brides. there are also several Cabo photgraphers on this forum. For rate information, just email the photographer as everyone is different. When I was searching for mine, I found that the Cabo photogs all got back to me very quickly and provided detailed rate informaiton. Good luck and happy planning.
  5. Glad you found a dress Janine. Can you post a picture? For anyone else looking, I bought mine brand new at the bridal salon. They were having a sample gown blow out sale. The regular price on the dress was alomost $500 and I got it for $120 with tax. All it needs is a few alterations because its a little big. I would definitely recommend checking out sample sales at local bridal salons.

  7. I also booked a group package through Sunquest and flying Westjet. We ran into a few bumps like them telling us the flight was sold out nearly 8 months before the wedding but then telling us several weeks later, after some of our guests had booked other flights that the flight had seats again. But overall it has been pretty good. We did not have the same experience as Angela in terms of rates. I have yet to find a rate cheaper than ours on the internet and trust me, many of my guests have searched. They all seem convinced they can find a cheaper rate but then end up booking the package when they realize they can't. I would suggest get some package rates and shop around, go with what makes the most sense to you in terms of package or no package. I don't recommend booking rooms directly through the hotel though, I believe most travel agents will get you a better rate than booking with the hotel directly.
  8. Very cute proposal story. He clearly put a lot of thought into it. Congratulations.
  9. Well - the sad thing is that those models are plus sized in the modelling world. Isn't Mia Tyler a famous plus sized model and she is a 12. One tip for chub rub. I haven't run into the chub rub problem personally but 1 problem I have all the time is that my boobs chaf (sp.??) from the sweat and friction when I am running (I'm sure all you big boobied ladies can relate). It gets really red and painful. How I prevent it is I use the BandAid blister block, you can find it in the feet section of any drugstore where they have all the insoles, etc. I rub that on under my boobs and it completely stops the chafing. It is super cheap too and lasts a long time.
  10. I am wearing a long line corest bra and personalized underwear saying Mrs. ______. I'm sure it will be warm but I am very busty and my dress is not supportive so I need the corset. Its my wedding, I can suffer a little.
  11. Wow, that is really crazy. I mean your wedding has already happened. Its an AHR (at home RECEPTION) not a second wedding. She may need business but the way to generate business is certainly not by upsetting her clients. I would tell her how you feel and that she needs to back off. This is a reception, you are looking forward to working with her, but she needs to understand what the event is and what you want her to do. It is your day and you are a paying customer. I hope things work out.

I didn't want to start a new thread just to ask this question. Thanks ladies! I tried on dresses there. I wasn't wild about my experience. I felt they were pushy and just wanted me to buy something. Pretty much every dress, the sales person would tell me looked good and I should get it when some clearly did not. Also she didn't have clips and it is really hard to see what a dress looks like on you when you have to hold it up the whole time. Also a lot of the dresses that I really loved from the website, they didn't have in the store for me to try on. Could just be the salesperson I had but I wasn't wowed by them. In terms of sizing, I found the dresses to be about 1 size bigger. I.e. I wear an 8 and the size 10 dresses fit me best.
  13. Michelle 2 - Glad I could help. I recognized the background from all the times I checked out the Maggie site so it was pretty easy.
  14. Michelle 2 - I replied to this in the other thread. Its Maggie Sottero from the destination line. I put the link in the other thread. Good luck. MzMinze - the dress looks very nice on you.

I know people still joke about Canadians living in Igloos, etc. but our doctors are just fine thank you very much. In fact, Canadian doctors and nurses are recruited to the US all the time.
