  1. Hi, I saw someone brought this up already but I didn't see the reply. If I missed it, my apologies. Will people's wedding locations and dates come back to their avatar area? I really love seeing when someone is getting married at my resort before me so I can watch for planning threads and reviews on my resort. Thanks.
  2. Ange - I am so super excited for you!!! I hope you have a fabulous wedding!! I cannot wait to hear all about it when you return. Oh and I cannot wait to see the gorgeous pictures that I know Chris is taking of you and T. Congratulations!!
  3. I'll take the cocktail for dummies books and the cigar bags. Pm"ing you now.

See you all on the 5th.
  5. We are dress twins. I love love my dress. When is your wedding? Quote: Originally Posted by wnmrtn8 Hi Girls, I am also a Mikaella bride. I also bought style 1406 I love the dress. You can also shop around different stores the 1 st store I saw it was 1,500 and the second store was $1,200 and the sale's lady gave me 100 discount. It doesn't hurt to ask.
  6. Aug 5 works for me but not the 29th. J and I are in NFLD for wedding. I have no service on my phone, I feel so lost without it.
  7. beautiful photos. I love your veil, so pretty. Congrats on a gorgeous wedding.
  8. Oh no, so sorry to hear about the bad experience. Btw ladies, I bought stuff from endlesslove awhile ago (pre-bad experience) and she was great. Shipped my item right away with no problems.

  10. Hello to the new october brides!! So we finally bought the groomsmen's pants so their outfits are now complete. I received my pashminas in the mail today so those are done. A couple bummers though. 1. I ordered my totes and was so excited about them but then they called and said the colour I ordered was discontinued. Now I have to start all over again and find new ones. I'm so bummed. 2. I haven't heard back from the DJ even though I sent him an email like 3 days ago to confirm him. I know he is on Cabo time but until its confirmed, I'm stressing. CJ - go get a dress! I would hate for you to wait to the last minute and end up getting one you don't absolutely love. Oh and post pics when you get it!!
  11. Congratulations on your wedding. So sorry to her about your travel problems. YOur photos are beautiful!
  12. Maria, can you tell me what the measurements are on the dress. Is it a street size 8 or is it a wedding size 8 and really like a street size 4?
  13. We got engaged on Christmas morning so it was pretty easy to let all our family know right away. J and I also called our close friends and family and told them. Then I posted it on fb maybe the next day. I wanted people to know and I felt I had already called or seen everyone that I wanted to find out in person first. I actually thought fb was a great way to let everyone else know all at once.
  14. Angela, everything looks amazing. You will be a gorgeous bride and your wedding will be beautiful. I'm so excited for you.
  15. Renee, thanks for the tip. Do you recall what shade of blue the blue ones were?
  16. Kellis, that's terrible. If you are going back to the same place, make sure you tell her what happened and that your skin peeled from the last wax. Also have her check the wax throughout to make sure it is not too hot. If it is too hot again, I would complain to the salon and then find another place to get waxed. I hope this was just a one off and your next appointment is much better.
  17. Wow, Nicole pretty much said exactly what I was thinking so I'll just second Nicole's comments.
  18. gym : terrible attendance lately
  19. We are doing a legal ceremony here which is really just the paperwork. No rings, no vows, none of that. We will do it at my Dad's house. My mom is an officiant so she will do the ceremony. My sister who is pregnant and can't come to the wedding (she is due the day before) will be a witness along with my Dad (we are required to have 2). My grandmother and aunt who are both elderly and not able to come to Mexico will also be there. That is it. As far as J and I are concerned, our marriage will be the ceremony that happens in Mexico and this is simply us signing some paperwork to make it legal.
  20. My maid of honour is wearing this dress but in bahama breeze (colour of the bm dress picture below): My bms are wearing this dress in this colour: I let them pick the dresses, I just said they had to be from the same line so that the colour would be the same. Not necessarily what I would have choosen, I was planning for them to be in short, but they like them so I'm happy about that.
  21. Hat that is terrible. I would say she was not really a friend at all if that is what she wished you. Confession: I do not want to work today at all.

From the start, I felt the customer service was poor. I was ignored for awhile, then was finally assisted by someone, who didn't seem at all happy to help. After trying on the dress in 2 different sizes, a 4 and a 6, the salesgirl insisted I purchase a size 8, even though the 6 was obviously the best fit and would only require a bit of taking in. I felt like they were trying to squeeze extra money out of me from alterations by making me go with a bigger size. I didn't purchase the dress there, and the last comment the salesgirl made before I left was "if you get it altered anywhere else, we can't be responsible for it!" I wound up ordering the size 6 from the store where the other bridesmaids had ordered from (to ensure the same lot number for colour consistency). To save money, I went to a seamstress elsewhere, who did an awesome job for a fraction of what David's Bridal was going to charge me. I'd have to think twice before going back to David's Bridal. I didn't even think of that. The only dress that I really liked from the ones I tried on was a 14 and they didn't have a smaller sample available for me to try. The sales lady was actually trying to get me to buy it (the size 14 sample) and telling me all it needed was a little alteration that they could do on site. Yeah right, if I let go of the dress, it fell to my waist. It was clearly way too big and needed a lot of alteration. Now I'm realizing it was totally so I would spend more getting it altered. Well that did not work, bad customer service meant I bought my dress elsewhere.
