I don't think we'll have much funds left over for gifts to each other but I think I will do the boudoir photos - they'll be a gift to him (the photos) but also to myself (the experience).

mexbride83, thanks so much for posting regarding the beaches! that's almost a deal breaker for me. I know this is the M.R. section but here's the entire list of hotels I've narrowed down to. Feel free to Yay or Nay any of them! Lol. I'm looking at $1500-1700 a person and haven't talked to a TA yet. I'm pretty sure at least a few on here will be taken off the list due to budget. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic Excellence Punta Cana Majestic Elegance Punta Cana Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana Paradisus Punta Cana Paradisus Palma Real Mayan Riviera, Mexico Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun Excellence Playa Mujeres Paradisus Riviera Cancun A friend was married at Excellence M.R. last year and she absolutely love it but it was just the two of them so all she had to do was show up. Lol. But that definitely made me look into the Excellence chain. Their wedding packages looks to be pretty good for the price. That's the only thing holding me back from the Paradisus chain...very expensive wedding packages!

Okay, Scarborough Town Centre it is! I just called downtown and apparently there's a Raptors game on Mar 5th. I've seen the traffic there during game time so I think we should go to STC instead. You girls that are close to STC....what's better? Boston Pizza or Jack Astors....or Moxies? Hope it's within walking distance from the actual mall!

I love that idea! I'd be happy to know I'm contributing to something the bride and groom actually needs and will use rather than just picking whatever item on the registry I think they MAY use and I can afford.

Nicola I actually just did it in my photobucket account. You can upload a pic from computer or a URL, then click on the edit link. It'll take you to a photoshop-ish page where you can crop, resize, or even add funky features. You can replace original or save a new copy. But lemme know if you want me to do it for ya, too. I've FINALLY narrowed it down to Punta Cana, DR or Mayan Riviera, Mexico. when i first started, i was looking EVERYWHERE. lol!!! ^ The one at Yonge & Charles St. (just south of Bloor). They were hanging on a wall - I would say at least 10? But they might have more in the back....I always see them unpacking stuff. If you can't find these nearby, LMK. I work/live very close to there so I can always go check stock, take a pic, or whatever.

Fiance and I weren't going to register, but now I think we will. Like KittenHeart, we will just indicate the registries on a page of our website. This way, only those who want to gift us can and those who don't won't feel obligated.

I went to Dollarama today and found SO much stuff! Found a tote like this but with ivory border and a button closure for $2! -Tote bag with 4 clear pockets for photos on the front -Raffia ribbon -Lots of glass and seed beads to make barefoot sandals, blank cards in every color to make your own STD/invitations -Beautiful tealight holders (for centerpieces) -Wooden boxes and bamboo boxes (would be wonderful for holding jewelry or other keepsakes)

^ I think you should keep it a secret to surprise him and not worry about wearing something or posing someway that he doesn't like. I honestly don't think he'll accept such a gift and make any criticisms like that. His wife, skimpy outfits, sexy poses??! I'm sure he wouldn't be thinking about how your hand is in the wrong place or the color of your undies isn't his favourite. Lol.

Welcome to BDW! As for your dilemma, I think that would be based on just how many WOULDN'T come if it were $1800. If it's say...a handful out of 20-30 people, then so be it but if half your guests (esp people you REALLY want there) won't or can't come at that price, then you may wish to rethink it and go for somewhere cheaper.

I love the pink! You did a fantastic job and this is such a great idea.

^ Hi Raychel, thanks for clarifying how you got your rates. I thought that ANY rates - whether through the hotel or a TA - would not be released until about 12 months before the date but sounds like I'm wrong. I think fiance and I will go speak with a travel agent soon just to get the ball rolling, then. Nicyx, I love Aqua! What a good choice. Aqua, white, and sand are all great since they match the beach. I love pink and although my fiance probably won't care, I'm sure some of his friends would prefer I not send them something so girly. Lol! I'm still trying to decide for myself - I really like pink and grey or yellow and grey but I'm afraid it will wash me out. I'm going to put together some color inspiration boards soon to help me decide.
