you will find this useful, a past RIU Palace bride sent me this info :: Dear ............................. Thank you for choosing RIU Hotels & Resorts for your Wedding!! To finalize your wedding details before your arrival, please be so kind to provide us with the following information: 1. A list with your guest's full names, arrival dates and Hotel booked (including bride & groom) 2. Which restaurant would you prefer Bota Fogo at 6:30pm or 8:45pm or Chillis at 6:45pm or 8:45pm? Please bare in mind that groups over 27 people for dinner will be accommodated during the 2nd seating. - Chillis, is an open air restaurant, close to the beach area, tropical and informal. (I have attached the menu for your consideration) - Bota Fogo, has A/C, it's formal, Brazilian Rodizo style with a classic atmosphere. It could be private for groups of 50 guests in the 2nd seating time. (I have attached the menu for your consideration) Please let us know how many people will be in your wedding group to book your wedding dinner reservation. May we remind you that it is very important that you send us a list with full names, arrival and departure dates of all your guests as soon as possible. If some of them, do not have their room reservations yet, please suggest them to do it ASAP. Remember our 80% policy!! (at least 80% of your guests must stay at the hotel where the wedding will be held) 2 Cake. Kiosk: From 2 to 30 guests, elegant, near lobby area, good for high heels. Beach: From 2 to 60 guests, not secluded and not recommended for disabled customers. Please note that the included decoration consists of white artificial flowers. Fresh Flowers are available at an additional cost (prices in FAQ document) You may make your decision once you meet your on-site wedding coordinator. If there is something you would like to add but have not seen in any of our provided information please let us know and we will be happy to work with you to get it. We will meet with you on .........at ........am, at the RIU Palace Mexico's lobby area. Look for our desk located across from the gift shop, next to the front desk. IMPORTANT NOTICE - The RIU Palace Mexico is only a 15 minute walk from your hotel. Just take a left and follow the sidewalk until you see the property, if you need any special directions, please ask our front desk staff. Please bring with you, your 4 witnesses with passports and tourist cards and of course all your documentation (the 4 witnesses information must match the info provided in the form). If they don't show up at our meeting we will provide them. It's extremely important that you show up at your appointment on time to finalize all your wedding details. Oooo, were going to Glasgow shopping on tuesday (as were at a gig tue night... so making the most of it) Going to hopwfully get my bikinis there as thats about all i need now + a few vest tops :-) We have stephens outfit and he looks lush, lush, lush!!! Cant get a pic, but if i do i will post, or i will try and get a picture of it lay out on the bed. He is wearing a stone (ish) knee length shorts, white shirt, aqua tie, and black suit jacket with black stylish sandals (ok dosent sound as nice as it looks....LOL) but im telling you girls... WOW :-) When he first said shorts i was like... "WHAT" but then he found a pic of what he kinda had in mind Only NOT those shoes :-) When i saw this i thought "yeah, i like it" well he has to be comfortable too and its his day as much as mine so hey I said go for it :-) x Its all coming together nicely now x Hey welcome along.... great when we can start counting in weeks isnt it :-) x

8.5 months will fly by, trust me!!! LOL I believe this with the charge is quite normal, but i can depend on resort etc. I have spoken to quite a few girls on here who have been charged to take in outside vendors. x We are using our resort vendor so no we dont have to pay a charge but would have to if we brought in an outside, i think for the RIU's its $80 for a day pass. x

I believe you can negotiate, Janapana used them, just make sure you dont pay anything upfront, pay afterwards :-) Im the same with my hair... well its actually a mix, mine is wavey & curly, and whenever were away esecially carribean countries.... i end up like Monica from Friends when they are in Barbados!!! No lie so i an a wee bit scared to think what i might look like on my wedding day.... Thanks hun... LOVE my dress so so much :-) It even makes me look like i have boobs!! LOL, Stephen wont know whats hit him!!!! On the seona trip, you get free booze and a buffet type thing too.... :-) Shoes : Im going to wear barefoot sandles for my ceremony as im getting married on the beach Like this only i have made my own in Aqua (my wedding colour) Then for reception im wearing Oh and whilst im showing off, here is my bouquet jewel (sorry dont know why pic so big) xox dunno, 18 months is pretty young, but depends how obedient she is! i suppose you can dress her up to be a flowergirl anyway, and if she doesn´t perform at least she´ll match you in the pictures. i am so gutted now that it´s all over and you lot are still counting down. 14 weeks nic, you will be there in no time! can i stow-away in your case? Pleeeeease????? going to bookmark that trip you said about, i think we´re all booking to go away to DR next jan for our 1st anniversary, should hopefully be about 10 of us. amurka just noticed your hotel is in Bayahibe... We stayed at the Iberostar Hacenda Dominicus in 2006 that is in Bayahibe.... Beautiful Beautiful Place. If you can do the Seona Island trip when your there i would definatly reccommend it. We got a speedboat out to the middle of the ocean where it stopped and it was only waist deep, we all got out to swin and we got starfish to hold which the guy found on the bottom of the sea :-) Then we went on to Seona island, it is the island that years ago the bounty advert was filmed... and i SWEAR its paradise on earth :-) Then we got a Catamaran back where we had a party :-) It was great x This pic was taken MILES & MILES out at sea... I shit you not that it was unbelievable and i still cant believe that it was wast deep that far out..... OH and do excuse the hair etc... lol :-)

We have been to the DR twice, not to your resort though but it does look gorgeous :-) WOW, your dress is gorgeous, very princess.. Not long now!!! Cant wait x I was never really bothered about a wedding dress i always said i would just buy a white gown from Monsson or something but then as soon as we booked and i came on here my mind was changed completly. Like you i hadnt budgeted for my dress but wanted it so much when i found it & after 1 or 2 discussions with FI he said go for it :-) I have changed my mind so many times about so many things... I never wanted a veil either but now im having one LOL :-) We started looking for our DW in May 2009, after a VERY long engagement (8 years, now together 10, LOL) but we coudnt book until April/MAy 2010, we actually booked on May 4th 2010 and believe me when i say time flys coz now i get married 14 weeks tomorrow.... ARGH... FOURTEEN WEEKS!!!!! and it feels so good to say that, as its always been "X" months til i get married.. and no i can count in weeks its actually scary how fast its come round!!!! xox Jo thanks so much for that, as at the mo we are debating on having our niece as a flower girl, only thing is we dont know if she is too young? She just turned 1 at xmas and she is walking but i dont know if she will understand etc? We will play it by ear i think, do you think 18 months is too young?
