Hey Natalie, welcome along, the more the merrier :-) I love the fact we have a few 2012 girls now, my reason for staying here after our wedding :-) xox I remember this time last year and we were the 2011 girls and it seemed like forever away and now its right on top us!!! On another note : We have changed the date of our AHR.. instead of June 25th we have brought it forward a month as 1 too many factors were just in the way for June: 1.) Annan has a pipeband tournement every year (which we forgot) and most accommodation was booked, pipers come from all over to play!! 2.) Its was nearly 6 weeks after we get married 3.) A few IMPORTANT family members couldnt make it We get back from Mexico on 16th May and we are now having the AHR on the Sat after we get back May 21st :-) But it feels right to have changed it so were happy!! Good job invites hadnt gone out. I wanted to make my own invites but i have cheated with these as i have ordered 100 from ebay for £20 inc postage, they are white with silver writing, i will just put a bit of aqua ribbon on them :-) I usually love doing my own stuff but to be honest i CBA!!!!! xox

Im so excited for you ladies having your dress fittings :-) Whoo..... hope they go well, im sure they will..... Bet you cant wait just to get bak into your dress :-) ARGH...... xxx

Hey kiwi, good to see you back.... Thanks :-) I was so so made up with 7lb, like you wouldnt believe!!! Your dress is beautiful, I think its fine for a DW, if your happy with it and you feel its the one, then i wouldnt worry at all, i think it will be perfect :-) Yes, i need to order my box aswel... im not sure whether just to order it now or wait until i have my dress, i dont supose it matters but its next day delivery on the site i have (which was reccommended by a lovely on here) so i may just wait :-) They are a great idea, as im certainly not putting my dress in the hold.... As i say to Stephen, it will be so easy to go buy a suit in Mexico if something happens to the cases but to find a wedding dress... thats a whole different ball game took me 18 months to find "The One" :-) No im not havbing a whiteboard either, although i do like the idea xox

Mexbride, cant wait to see your cards, they will be gorgeous no doubt :-) And as Janet has said that necklace is stunning, its really lovely, hope we get to see it along side the dress :-) It is beautiful x

Loving the list, its getting longer and longer :-) Whoo!!!! x As for the evening of the wedding, well, im hoping to wear my wedding dress all night but like you have been thinking about "what if we hit the disco" i think im going to take a dress with me, in the style of a prom dress, knee length, to get changed into if i need to..... not sure what colour yet (but i like the idea of just a white dress and will definalty keep an eye out for one) i will decide on the night though i think... x

I cant believe how the time has flown by and for most of you its weeks now not months Im undecieded about what to do with my dress at the mo there is a dress agency in our town that i called into today and she said shes doing a wedding fair this weekend and would sell it fo £400 and give me £200.Now id be happy to get tghe two for it but am not sure id want to give her £200 for putting it in the boot of her car then hanging it on a rail.Am i being daft i could use the £200 to put in a fund pot to buy a ring to sit aalongside my wedding band. Are any of you doing the paper lanterns i soooo wish id done them or the ones that float on the water.Hwkin bazaar had the lantern bags today i noticed id of got them aswell lol I so wish i was still planning : ( Hey hooo ill carry on with the bathroom makeover just completed sams bedroom once the bathrooms done th living room is nxt. I did have 17 lb's to loose but with doing the cabbabge soup diet i now oly have 10lb's to go to my ideal weight but i would like to go 1 or 2 lb's less as im in Mexico 6 days before we get married and need to have a little room for all the AI food and drink!! Well you have lots done :-) The catamaran is a great idea, hopefully ewe will do something like that... there are only 7 of us going to Mexico so we will just look at booking when were out there!! :-) We have just booked a DJ for our AHR, we were for a day or so torn between a live band and the dj.... but looking at costs of the band, we just couldnt afford one.... the dj we have booked has a good rep in my town, so im more than happy!!! :-) I love the idea of the hog roast... thats brilliant, never been to or had one but i know a few people who have had one and ive never heard anything but good reviews!! Would love to hear the story about your dress... but thats just coz im a nosey c*w!!! LOL 16 weeks, that will fly by.... I just cant believe how fast it has gone since christmas... saying that i cant believe how fast it has gone since we booked last May!!! x

Hi MB Personally I have never heard of them. Most of the girls on here have booked through high street travel agents... Thompson, First Choise or Thomas Cook, and one or two have booked with a online travel agent Carribean wearhouse. Either of these have very good reputations and you will be covered if anything goes wrong booking through one of these. I booked with Thomas Cook. They are fab and help all the way. One of the girls who used CW will be along soon and im sure they will say the same. Good Luck xxx

I nearly caved in so so many times.... But i knew the 7 days of torture would be worth it... I actually thought i would have lost say 4 maybe 5 ponuds at the most but 7.... i was estatic!!! Haha :-) I will definatly see how i get on over the next few weeks and most likely give it another go once more before Mexico :-) x

Oooooo, i dont know if i told you ladies but last week i did the "cabbage soup" diet... 7 weeks of torture but i needed a kick start to help me as nothing not even exercose was helping me shift weight... well anyway it worked i lost 7lb.... so so happy!!!! now there is motivation to keep going if any (i will just be good, no carbs afetr 5 etc) i may do it once more in a few weeks time.... i tell you, i need to loose 10 more pounds to get to my ideal weight, but i want to loose a few more... as i will be there 6 days before the wedding and i dont want to constantly be counting calories every secind of the day, especially where there is alcohol involved!!! lol x So glad you 2 are in contact with nancy..... must make it so much more real x

Hi nan, We are having our AHR at our local football club function room which is ideal for us as we live not even a 5 min walk away.... so far i have a list of 75 invites to write, in total about 130 adults and around 36 kids.... I have some family & friends coming up the day/night before as i live 6/7 hours drive away from some. I will not go all out with the decorating, i will just do balloons for the tables and favours in my wedding colours (aqua & white). Favours nothing to big, just a wee aqua organza bag with white love heart mints or something like that, I will have a DJ, which i have just booked tonight. I will be ordering a 3 tier sponge wedding cake, plain white icing, i have bought the ribbon to go round it, also i will use the cake topper we have bought for mexico (out initials) and i will be buying some cute little cutters of ebay in the shape of starfish and a palm tree so i can colour some icing myself (light blue) and cut wee star fish etc to put on cake :-) For the buffet i will just do a cold finger buffett... sandwiches, pizza, crisp, salads etc etc. Im not sure what else i will do if anything... any suggestions???? xx

Michelle... everything you have done is wonderful.... very very nice, I would love to see you lot at the airport!! :-) Fab idea x I think im one of the only lucky ones on here regarding the MIL!! Mine is absoluty fine with me... never had a problem in the 10 years ive know her!! She just leaves us to it, always has :-) I really do feel for you ladies having the problems as i couldnt imagine anything worse!!! On the job interview note, went really well, my ideal job, answering the phone and booking apts and greeting customers..... If i get offered it i will unfortunatly have to decline though as it would mean taking a £2000 pay cut and the hours are 10-6 which is fine but i live about 20 miles away from Carlisle and at the mo i do 9-5 and get a lift to work as i dont drive :-( but as i wont be able to get a lift as hours will be different i will have to pay more out for travel costs to and from work... so not only would i be taking a £2k pay cut but paying more out for travel each month too and i just cant afford it!!! After Mexico i will re-start my lessons again to get my licence... the worst thing about living where i live.... not driving..... the busses and trains are so few and far between too :-( I was learning to drive and did hope to pass before i moved up here but we actually found the house about 12 months sooner than we thought we would, it was only the second house we looked at, we thought it would at least be a 12 month process.... but as everything in my life NOTHING ever goes to plan..... Anyway sorry about that!! Haha x Ok so the good news. I Have booked my DJ tonight :-) Everything is coming together nicely now!! Im so happy with that part of my life!!! Just need to sort balloons, found out tonight my sisters FIL, well his new wife does balloons so she is going to get a price for me :-) Fingers crossed x xox

Hey nan, were having a diner the night before our wedding in Mexico but not a rehearsal as there are only 7 of us going so it wont be neccessary. For AHR, we will put on a buffet, i will cater this myself so were not having a formal meal or anything... just a good old knees up from 7pm until 12.45 :-) I will decorate the room etc, ive been to pay and secure it tonight and have a tour, its going to be fantastic x Cant wait :-)
