Hello Ladies, I have looked through this thread and hoping i havent missed anything, sorry if i have but i am going to be ordering "sterling" by Maggie Sottero (Obviously) very soon, i love this dress so much, I was wondering has anyone got this dress and if poss can i see a pic of you in it? I would just love to see another "real" bride in it instead of the model on the Maggie website..... Thanks x

Hey Ladies, I dont know if the same in the U.S as the U.K but can anyone tell me the script with birth certificates? I know we need these but does it have to be apostilled aswell? and has anyone got a full birth certificate? does this state fathers occupation? does anyone know if fathers occupation needs to be on it to get married? I know you need a full certificate and we need to order these as we only have the short ones so i will look into getting a full one. Ive read so many different things. I will ask the TA in the next few weeks but FI and I have been talking tonight and its on my mind. Hope this makes sense!!!!!! Thanks x

Michelle2011, like you i had a peek on the Maggie website at your dress & WOW, its gorgeous :-) Cant wait to get my dress. gemmalou.... Were not planning on getting wed at Moon Palace but it looks beautiful, im sure a few on here will be gettng wed at that resort :-) Its so flippin frustrating this waiting for prices to come out, i feel like i cant really do anything yet like STD, Invitations, or much else at the mo.... Also nothing actually feels "real" at the moment, Just want to get it booked!!! The only wedding thing ive bought is from a wedding fair I went to last October @ the NEC in Birmingham and that is his and hers "Just Married" flip flops, they were buy one get on free @ £9.99p. I really feel like i need to start buying things but i just dont know where to start!! What has everone else started to do other than dress or rings? Im like you, Ive been planning like its this year, haha, not bought anything yet but know everything I want the only thing i havent fully planned is OOT bags as id never heard about these before untill i came on here, LOL, and what a fab idea... so these will be my next assignment.... :-) If I knew how to work powerpoint properly i would no doubt have the ame as you but instad i just have a wee file set up on my desk top with everything in. Michelle2011... No its me with the pictures not your laptop, not sure why they wont show but im sure one day i will figure it out. I LOVE Maggie Sottero dresses I am also going to be having one of her dresses (hopefully) the pictures i tried to post are Maggie dresses :-) Great minds think a like, What dress style have you chosen? I am torn between a few of them, I need to go and try the 1s i like on but my fave two are "Sterling" and "Reese" but i have about 5 of her dress saved in my wedding favourites!!!! Jenna... We are booking through a travel agent here in the UK and lucky for us they sort all that out for us, so i really can't offer any advice about that only what fsuambs has said :-) but after reading other threads on here I really wouldnt worry to much, I understand you need to give notice to family and friends but from what others have said on here that seems like the norm I think for them to be quite slow to respond but as fsuambs said when they do get back to you you will most definatly get the date you want as your request is already in :-) Nicola x

fsuambs, so so glad you have found "The One" thats fantastic, I have only been dress shopping once but am seriously going to start thinking about it pretty soon as Im getting wedding dress envy going by some of the post on here, I have my on something similar to this style or Not sure if the pictures will work, if not i will try to find another way..... Yeah, definatly this site helped us make our decision the girls I have spoken to on here have been so so helpful, I cant thanks them enough :-) fsuambs your ring is beautiful x We have looked all over, other than RPRM in Mexico we looked at the Grand Paraiso but they dont allow kids and we have friends and family with wee ones so that was a no no, we have also looked at Jamaica, Aruba, Cuba, Dom Rep, and many more, but what i liked FI thought was ok and vice versa.... We had our heart set on a particular resort in Jamaica for a good few months then one weekend we were talking and then out of the bue both decided we liked it but didnt want to marry there, so im hoping that wont happen to the RPRM coz we love this more than any weve looked at and i can really see us saying "i do" there :-) This is the ne we actually agree on everything we like/love about it....YIPEE :-) Michelle2011, like you were are planning on a doo when we get back to the UK for family and friends we will miss not being at the wedding, but unlike you 2 lovelys I havent even started thinking about that... Hmmm, Maybe we should, haha. The dress shopping is exciting though and ive done nothing for months but look online for all things weddingy :-) 16 months thats scary!!! Cant wait untill may when the prices come available. I get the whole spreadsheet thing though, I avent quite got that set up, but i have prices everywhere so i can compare. We have prices for April 2011, but going of 2010 prices its about £1000 cheaper in May than April so im hoping its the case for 2011.

Hey 2011 brides :-) Good to see you all, Hope you have fun choosing your resorts, Its been driving us mad, its took us about 7 moths to fully decide on the resort we wanted (Riu Palace Riviera Maya) Just hope we dont change our minds again by the time the prices come out in May for next year. Like you msamanda im looking forward to chatting to everyone during their wedding planning process to see how everyone is getting on. I just wish i had more to say and show at the moment but until we get something booked im kind of a lurker on here as i feel i have not got much input!!!! Cant wait to start bying things, Dress, OOT bags, rings etc so i can post some fun posts. All i have at the moment is ideas of everything i want... Hi everyone We from the outset said we would be getting married abroad and we have always stuck to this, knowing FI parents wouldnt be coming (few reasons) but we are secretly hoping they change their minds ;-) They have never given us any grief about where we want to get wed, also knowing my sis, bro in law and nephew wouldnt be able to make it (again secretly hoping for a mind change) My parents originally said they wouldnt be able to come but a few months ago when we decided to set a month (May 2011, date to be confirmed) my mum told me that she and my dad would be coming and im so so pleased, i have never dreampt of a big wedding but have always dreampt of my dad giving me away :-) So to actually get that is fantastic :-) My Brother and his GFshould hopefully be coming, FI's sis, Bro in law, and Niece will defo be coming and have said so from the outset. We will be asking a few friends and family but dont expect because of cost many more to come but i must say we would have ALWAYS said even if it is just us on the wedding day then we would be happy. After all its OUR day :-) but would be fantastic to share with family and friends.............. We will have a bit of a doo when we get back (any excuse to wear the dress again... lol) but this is because its something I want to do as i will miss everyone not being at our wedding. We are very lucky not to have had the agro you guys have been having but i think you are all right to just get on with YOUR OWN choices as it really is something you would regret if you chose to make everyone else happy on your day and you just end up being misrable, then your wedding day would be memorable for all the wrong reasons!!!! How exciting :-) I wish we could afford to do a site visit before hand, only travelling back and forth to Mexico from the UK isnt exactly cheap so the pennies will be being saved for the wedding. Its very exciting isnt it :-) You will have to let us know how your visit goes and which way you make your decission. I think is so much fun knowing were having a DW but its quite frustrating waiting for prices / queriesanswered before getting it booked. We are looking at booking the Riu Palace Riviera Maya hopefully for May 2011 we know we definatly want Mexico and we are just waiting on May 2011 prices to come out at our Travel agents. Ladytrunck Cant wait to see your pics :-) Definatly looking forward to seeing a beach wedding at the Riu RMP. We have just been talking and we were saying that no matter what we will definatly stick to the beach as its what we have both always wanted. I dont think id be quite as happy elsewhere, but the gazebo is definatly beautiful, there is no question about that!! Would love to see what the Kiosk looks like! Nic x

Thank you Dana, That helps alot, I think from what you have said we can still go with our dream :-) Its nice to get an insight from someone who has seen it, What place have you chosen? Hello girls, Please can i ask is there any pictures anywhere of the 3 places you can choose to get wed at this resort? Ive only seen the Gazebo (which looks beautiful) I believe the beach and the Kiosk are the other options? We have always dreamed of getting wed on the beach but would love to see the set up of a beach wedding here. Is there any reason why everyone seems to choose the gazebo? this is why i want to see the other two places of choise as im a bit worried they (especially the beach set up) are not what i imagined!!!
