Good post! On a separate note, aside from price, were you happy with the cigar roller that you used at dreams? I am a Dreams bride and I do want to look into having a cigar roller....I won't ask you the price lol but I am just curious as to your satisfaction with hiring them. Thanks!

Congrats ladies!! Glad to see I am not alone It will be exciting to see all of our planning unfold in the coming year! FI and I take our E-pics in 2 weeks and plan to have the STD's sent out to our guests by early June. I hope to start dress shopping in the next couple months.. Yay!

Ok, I know I am pretty early still but I got excited all over again because we our wedding is officially booked with Dreams It's pretty much the first major "official" thing we have done so far so I am happy! Any other June 2011 brides out there??

I was JUST in a very similar situation...I wanted my sister to be more than just a BM but I also wanted my BFF to be my MOH just because she is just like a sister to me and I always envisioned her by my side in my wedding so I struggled with the decision for quite some time until I started thinking and realized that there is no right or wrong way to do it so I decided to have my sister as my Matron of Honor and my BFF as my Maid of Honor. It works out perfectly because technically the Matron of Honor is the one that is married and she is My FI is still just having one BM and I am not worried about it one bit, in the end there are still the same # guys/girls. It also works well because my sister is the super party planner/creative genius and my BFF not so much..so they can nicely balance eachother out and help with the duties. All in all, I 100% agree with the other ladies...you can have your wedding party and ceremony any way you please...Don't let the stress of it get you, you will be relieved when the decision is over! I know I was! Best of luck

I'm not sure of any travel agents who work directly with Barcelo but it wouldn't hurt checking with the TA's on this site that specialize in Cabo (TammyHost) to see if maybe they have any relationships or have dealt with Barcelo. if you don't mind me asking, are you already booked for your wedding at Barcelo? If so, are you planning on having a full reception? I looked at the packages that Violeta sent me and it seems like most do not offer a reception so I am just curious to see how much extra all the costs would be to have the full on reception/open bar, dinner etc. Thanks in advanced.

For any of you who are doing a peacock feather theme, I saw some really cute Bridesmaids cards from a seller on etsy...not sure of the price, they may be pricey but they are beautiful!

I came across a really cute idea from a past bride on another site...She gave them to each of her BM and asked them to be a part of her bridal party. She made an "emergency kit" for her bridesmaids. Buy white mini "suitcase" looking tins from Michael's (or wherever you can find them) you can decorate the tin to match your wedding colors and paint or put the letters "Bridesmaid Emergency Kit" on the front to make it look like a first-aid kit. Inside put little cards that explain what each item inside is. you can use a pocket calendar with important dates already marked down so they don't forget, a stress ball to use instead of wanting to wring your (the bride) neck at times haha, earplugs for when you talk about the wedding too much, aspirin/tylenol for when you give them headaches, a mini bottle of tequila for when the aspirin just didn't cut it and a pic of you and your FI to remember the reason behind all of this. I thought this was such a creative and fun idea! I already sent mine cards but I still might do this just for fun. I thought some of you who were looking for an idea might like this...

I had someone recommend Barcelo to me so I started looking into it again. I emailed Viloeta today to get some info. I understand she may be quite busy right now so I don't expect a quick reply. I will post whatever info I may receive. It seems like a lot of the reviews so far mainly complain about service issues, but I would think by summer 2011 they should have a lot of the kinks worked out. I really love the resort grounds...FI really wants me to look into this resort as well.

If you are wanting to take on the planning yourself I def think you can do it but I would suggest, as some of the other ladies said, to hire a "day of" coordinator. This will take any of the day of hiccups or stress off of you and will help make things run smoothly. Aside from that, I think you will no problem planning and putting everything together yourself. This site is almost like a wedding planner! Best of luck!

I saw some cute cookie ideas and then I stumbled across this seller while browsing the wedding section on Etsy. So many great ideas from all of you on here...I seriously would be lost without all this help!! I sent them off yesterday so now I am anxiously awaiting the phone calls!

All my BM pretty much know that I am including them in my bridal party ( I kind of told them while I was drunk celebrating our engagement haha) But I thought the cards would make it "official". I may send them with a small framed pic with me and each of them...if I can find the right frames today. I'm kinda anxious to get them out already

Hey ladies! I just got my bridesmaids cards in and I love them. I ordered them through Etsy seller TrendyTreasure. (I added the green flowers) The bottom ribbon is brown and the top is purple (lighting makes them look a bit off) I can't wait to send them to the girls!

Have you already contacted the resort about your date? Once you contact them, they will assign you a wedding coordinator and the coordinators at Dreams are all so great and will answer your questions.

First off, I really didn't want to have to post this thread..I swear I am NOT computer illiterate! Secondly, I hope I am posting in the correct area. I have read through several different threads trying to answer my own questions but I am still getting the same "invalid file" message time after time. 1st issue: Avatar I resized my pic in photobucket to tiny (100x6 and pasted the IMG code into the space provided for custom avatar. "Invalid File" is what I get I even tried resizing it even smaller...same problem! 2nd issue: Signature pic When I go to User CP, edit signature, it shows my picture in my signature, however, I don't see it show up when I submit a post. Is this normal or should I be seeing the pic in my signature? if anyone can help navigate me I would greatly appreciate it!

Congrats Bex! I am a June 2011 bride in Cabo so I am on the same path! This site is so GREAT!! You will find so much helpful information that will make your planning a million times easier! Take some time and start reading and you will soon get a pretty good idea of where to start...but beware as it gets quite addicting haha! Good luck and happy planning
