Yes getting really close!! I am getting excited but overwhelmed because there is a lot to get done now!

Need a good recomendation for a hair and makeup stylists in Maui. I have found a couple but they want an astronomical amount. I know it will cost more being Maui but my heart stopped when I got some prices. But I also wanna make sure they are good!

I am getting married November 2, 2010 and my reception is at Merriman's. Danielle, the even coordinator has been amazing so far. She has made it so easy!!!! She also worked with us on our budget to make sure we still got the wedding of our dreams. Our reception is being held on the deck which i am super excited for because it looks beautiful. I will let you know how everything goes!

Deanne at Maui Precious Weddings is amazing!! I am getting married November 2 and she has been awesome and super responsive. I felt bad with all the questions i had for her but she just kept reassuring me that it was perfectly normal. I found her prices to be very reasonable and i did tons of research and contacted a lot of people. For my reception i book directly through Merriman's instead of paying and extra planning fee to Deanne. They have been more than back bending toward my budget and i also highly recommend them!

Laura&James: So we are working with Deanne and she has been very helpful. We are extremely interested in the Plantation House but do not know if i should work with them directly or have Deanne. She said it will cost us more to use her and since we are on a tight budget she said for us to call the Plantation House ourselves. We plan on having about 25 people and was curious what packages you went with at the Plantation house. If you could please give me more information it would be a huge help. I am looking to get married November 2, 2010 but am having trouble finding a great location in west maui for a good price! Everyone wants like 2k just to rent a location for a ceramony. Beach is not an option for us because you cannot put chairs on a beach in Hawaii and i cannot make my elderly family members stand. We want the ocean back drop behind us, not bushes which most resorts have! Can anyone please tell me where they did or are getting married in west maui and didnt have to pay an arm and a leg! I am trying to pick a planner right now! We want to get married in west maui also but most plan i keep seeing i like are in south Maui. How is everything going with your planner, i still need to pick one so let me know if you are having good luck!!

Hi!! welcome to the forum! Secrets Capri is at the top of my list for resorts right now! i started all over the board and have narrowed it down to Capri through research on here and internet. I also have friends of the family who had nothing bad to say about Secrets Capri. They have traveled all over the world and said that it is an amazing resort! So hearing that really settled it for me!

Ok so my travel agent is recommending May over February/early March for me because she says the prices are better. But she is quoted me a complete package (air/hotel/insurance) $1200 for 5days 4 nights. I said i was hoping not to go over $1500 for a week trip for my guests and she says that will be hard at the el dorado. I have read of people getting better prices can anyone let me know what prices they are getting for a week and what time of year it is in?? Thanks bunches!!

Jasmin, I see that you are having your wedding at the el dorado royale and are using destinationweddings.com...i am also using them and am seriously thinking of booking at the el dorado. Did you have good luck booking through destinationweddings.com?? I see all these offeres people are getting when booking their wedding and i was just curious if destinationweddings.com was able to get you good incentives with the resort and resonable prices? Any information you could give me would be awesome! Thanks!!

Congrats and happy planning!! I am doing a March 2011 resort and researched like every resort, i think i finally found one which turned out to be the original one i liked! So stick to your gut feelings!! You will find all kinds of different opinions of resorts on this forum, you just have to remember to stick to what you guys want!

Welcome to the forum!! That is awesome that you recieved the time share! My parents have one also but we are not going to use it because we are going to do an all inclusive to help save money for our other guests!
