Andi, thank you too for your opinion. I just saw it after I responded to Lucy. His gf is super nice but has been waiting sooo long for a ring.. I know if she got it the day before...say after our dress rehearsal the night before the wedding..she would so flaunting it and I just think it would take away from our special day. They will not be having any family there...we will only be about 25 people. I understand it is their vacation too but I would never think my guy would do something like that. I would greatly appreciate if you have the link to the thread.. I will look too. I guess knowing that it has been done to someone else on this site makes it more comforting. I am open to seeing it from others' perspectives.. maybe I just need to hear them and think about this in a not so selfish way.

ok....so my FI's best man is a great guy. He has come with his gf with us on our last two vacations to Mexico. He has now been together with his gf for about 1.5. This is the longest serious relationship he has been in and just this past jan he and her moved in together...another HUGE thing for him. He told my FI that he wants to propose to his gf the first or second night we are in Mexico. We are getting married on the third night and plan to have a welcome dinner the second night ( we arrive late on the first night so we moved the dinner). Jason told me this info but I am not suppose to know. Well, I was not cool with the idea at all. It is my wedding and really I don't ask for much but I really don't want him to do it. I am a Leo and well...am not afraid of attention. When I got engaged, I was soooooooooooooooooooooo happy. I shared my proposal story to my close friends and family and was so proud of my man. Jason had a feeling I was not going to be too pleased about this plan. He told his BM of how I may feel about this idea. The BM thought I would not have a problem with it. ..some people with congratulate him and then everyone will remember why they are there.... I think not! I know if it was the reverse, his gf would flip! I just think it inappropriate. I told my guy to suggest he do it after the wedding...at the very least. What do you all think? The more I think about it, the more I am peeved! Maybe at his wedding..(likely will be a DW) I should announce I am preggers...

yes, i believe many of the brides to be do bring down things like this and chair sashes and other items as it would cost a fortune them or get them from the resort. It may cost a bit for the extra weight so that is why i opted to get acrylic bowls instead of glass, they are very light, won't break and they won't take so much space if i had to pack them with tonnes of bubble wrap etc..

i got them at Superstore for 3.99 each! my estimated total cost for my centrepiece is about 9.50. I am super pleased with myself.

this is my first try at this. Our colors are turquoise, silver and white. The bowls are acrylic! I did not want to be stressed out about bringing down glass. obviously i need to work on uploading my picture. it was my first time and i had to resize it several times to upload it. I will go back and read the sticky...again. sorry.

hi Kat, yes she is helping when it comes to choosing my bouquet flowers and the one centre piece that comes with our wedding package we bought but unless i am prepared to pay 55 $ a centre piece for the tables, I have to come up with my own centre pieces.

Hi ladies, just wondering are the flowers that are in the centrepieces real or fake? Another question, how much on average did you pay putting your centre piece together? I would like to add some flowers in mine but have no idea how to go about it if i have to get fresh ones down in PV. Please give me your ideas and what you did.

hi ann e. i would ask your wedding coordinator to ask the spa that will be doing your hair to give you some pictures. It is also highly encouraged to have pictures of hairstyles you are interested. You may want to go to a hairdresser where you live and do a trial and then take the pictures with you to the resort. the resorts are usually very experience in doing hair and make up for weddings as it is part of the business. There is a thread on here on'post your hairstyles" something like that. check it out, it certainly helped me get ideas.

i asked our wc for the officiants contact info and the officiant put together a script and sent it to me to review. I also looked at the "share your script" thread and that was helpful too. i am working on using the thread and the officiants script to create one that i want. i am so thankful for all those brides that shared their script.. great starting point.

i am so glad to read what i was thinking is what many of you are doing or have done. I want to enjoy my flowers and not have them destroyed with the toss plus I don't think any girls that are coming so far are single.

Hi ladies, this video is peaking my interest. So I need some free weights. How about the cardio part, do I need some kind of treadmill or it is like I will be jumping and jabbing on the spot? I work out 5 days a week, do 45 mins on the elliptical and about 30min of weights...walking lunges with 20 lbs weights, leg extensions on the machine at 130 lbs. Would this video be challenging for me?
