Well we did our save the dates a couple of months ago and using those as the form of invite before people start booking. We put our website on the save the dates as well which will have all the flight info. Plus we are pretty much in touch on a daily-weekly basis with everyone who will be going so have been answering travel questions that way. We will send out regular/official invites 3 months in advance as if it was an intown wedding, so hopefully most of our guests will have allready booked. At that time we will probably be sending out save the dates/invites to the AHR in March

My FI's mom was talking about her aunt and uncle just tonight who said they weren't going to Mexico for the wedding because they don't want to get their heads cut off... These same people go to border cities in mexico to get their hearing aids for cheaper!! I mean seriously. But oh well, this is our day! We are doing an AHR too please everyone else because we will be happily married by then and can worry about others more then. Sammysgirl- thanks for the great centerpiece idea
  3. Oh good idea about getting some stuff at Walmart down there... I didn't even think of that; good to hear that their prices at the walmart down there are good too! Ordered the BM dresses today (well 3 out of 6). Here is the link to it: After Six Bridesmaid Style 6556P: The Dessy Group

  6. Thanks for the advice girls! Family is already asking about showers and registry even though I tell them their gift is just celebrating with us; they don't listen. I definitely agree about not posting it anywhere, so those who are not insisting on buying a gift, might actually just do what we say and not get anything . vlvetter7- Well, we are doing ours at the courthouse before hand and very informal so I was thinking even just jeans and a sweater (I want this just to be the paperwork before hand and not seem real at all)... But for a church wedding, I'd same maybe find just a cute dress (even white) that you might where to like your rehearsal dinner?? Just so it doesn't feel as bridal as your wedding dress but a little wedding feel to it.

Thats a good idea, thanks!! Your wedding is just around the corner. I can't believe it is almost May. How are the final plans coming along? ~ Question about registering... When did or will you register? Our wedding is just 8 months away, and with my internships I am guessing showers will not be until late October or November-ish. Just wondering how far in advance did you all register?
  8. Congrats Jessica and glad to hear your thoughts! ... I agree with Jannae though, lets see some pics Dana- I am not sure either... Now that you mention it, it sounds very similar to our situation. So once we start looking more, I will let you know if we find any specific good stores.
  9. Actually that be awesome! My FI's brother has triplet girls who will be 4 at the time of the wedding, so we're making them our flower girls. I thought those pails looked perfect for flower girl baskets, that could be used in the sand then. As long as its semi-convenient for you, I would love if you could pick 3 up.
  10. So cute Jannae, I am jealous, I couldn't find any at my Target....but you said IKEA may have something like it?
  11. I see you are from Minnesota, do you mind if I ask which Target you found it at?? I have relatives all over MN, but couldn't find these pails at the Duluth Target or online. I think they are really cute, so I thought about sending a relative out if it happened to be a Target near by!
  12. Kimmy- thanks for all the amazing tips! definitely going to look into the cenote now
  13. Welcome back MRS! :) Glad to hear it went well, be ready to be hounded by questions lol ... Can't wait to see some pics and read your review. Well my dress came in yesterday (yay ), but when I tried it on it was quite big on me. I only ordered it a month and half ago and have lost like 2 lbs. The size I had tried on in the stores was the size that I order because it fit like a glove. I just ordered it in a petite instead since I am short. Luckily DB remember this, so they are reordering my gown in one size down (while holding my original one, in case one size down is too small). But now I have to wait until July
  14. Yes I agree, I am glad they are working it out with me... and very glad that it was going size down rather then up Good for you with the weightloss though msglave, i am pretty good at maintaining, but terrible at losing!
  15. No one should have to deal with that... glad to offer any support Samira- Just looked at your pictures, and looks like you had an amazing time. You got one great finance for putting that together . PS I love your dress, where did you get it?
  16. Angie- I love your shoes, earrings, and headpiece! Msglave- I also love your headpiece! ~My next mission is to find shoes! I am still trying to decide between flats/flipflops or wedges. I am so sorry you have to go through it. But it is important that you at least sit down and talk to S about his thoughts on skipping the shower and everything and about talking to his family about this situation.
