  1. I also debated this idea. I was going to give the girls the beach bags and the guys the cooler bags. But I didn't find any for a great price. let me know if you find any. I think it's a great idea!
  2. Love it! specially the BM dresses, fantastic! I didn't see a template for your getting ready for Mexico Brochure, and it is wonderful. any chance you could post it?
  3. My Tip & Keyholders are underway and I just couldn't wait to share. So far they have been a blast to make! This was my inspiration... http://www.etsy.com/listing/57534441/owl-say-designs-card-case-upgrade-to What I used for the wallet: Vinyl Credit Card Holder (ebay) Mini Snaps (Fabricland) Eyelets (Fabric Land) Scrapbook Paper (local art store & walmart) (one piece will make 12 buttons and 4 wallets, so 4 sets) Lanyard (ebay) I cut the paper to fit inside the wallet. Then added the snaps, you pretty much just hammer them together with a little toll they come with (it had instructions on the back). Then punched a hole for the eyelet. Like the snaps you just hammer it (also had instructions & a tool). Lots of hammering makes this a very good craft after a bad day at work Then I attached the lanyard. I tried to use different scrapbook paper for everyone (some repeat twice). Then I used stamps and my button maker to make pinback buttons. The buttons have their initials and match their wallet. I thought people could use the pins to mark their beach bag, towel, etc. When i told my FI my idea he said "oh like, hey that's mine, I get it". Here are the pictures... Hard to see but it has pockets in each side that hold anything the size of the credit card. the snap is only through the top layer, so it doesn't block a card going in. I really love them, hopefully the guests will too!
  4. I found some shrinky dink at the art store and did some test charms. I love them! I just stamped them, used my circle punch, in the oven for two mins. So easy!!! In the picture you can see how much they shrank. Now I need to find the other pieces to make them wine charms.
  5. The update - They came in a couple weeks ago, but I haven't tested them. My friend was having his stag this weekend so I gave him two of the patches. He tells me he felt they worked. He had little sleep so he was tired, but no headache and no vomiting. So that is now both him and my brother who say they work. When I get the chance to test them, I will post again
  6. SKP1 let me know how it goes. I did find some online at Dick Blicks, they have regular and ink jet friendly. http://www.dickblick.com/products/grafix-shrink-films/ I'll be in the US next week so I'll pick some up then, do some tests. Cheers is also an awesome idea! I will look into that, thanks!
  7. Sorry one more link to shrinky dink... why have I never heard of this stuff? so awesome! This one explains that a 3inch circle reduces to 1.25 after baking. http://makingitlovely.com/2008/03/21/a-key-chain-and-a-dog-tag/
  8. I just found these ones with names...scroll down just past the label http://www.projectwedding.com/biography/list/soon2Bmrsjaramillo/wine-bottle-labels She used Shrinky Dink Paper? I have never heard of it. I looked it up and you print on it with an ink jet printer, put it in the oven and it shrinks and turns into hard plastic.... ummm... COOL! SKP1 maybe this would work for you? Just print a bit bigger, since they already look great and let them shrink down? I think using card stock, if they get wet they will be ruined, which would be a shame, since you took the time to make them. I think I might try this. If it works maybe I'll make some extra ones to put at the tables as favors. I saw some that were the word Party in different languages that I've been trying to figure out how to work in....
  9. haha my mom is the same way. I've also given her tasks and it seems to help, she just really wants to be involved. My fiance reminded me that our wedding is a very important day to her too. All our family in one place and she gets to show off her little girl. Every time she turns into crazy mama I remind myself of this and I smile and my frustration goes away, well kinda goes away. I agree with all the ladies, as long as your aunt and her aren't fighting all is well. Your aunt is probably happy to have the help.
  10. I hear you I have been questioning stuff like this too 1) I would still invite the girls that gave you stagette gifts, but make sure they know there is no need for gifts and if they can't make it, you totally understand, they already celebrated with you 2) I would send a thank you to everyone. But I would add a personal note about the gifts... Thank you for.... it was great... or I am looking forward to using it... 3) I would only invite people that are invited to the wedding. Recently I was invited to a shower and not the wedding. It made me think "I'm a good enough friend to take a gift from, but not invite to your wedding?" When I asked around not everyone felt this way. I found that the mom's and older people thought it was okay. Anyone my age (30 or so) thought it was rude. So you may want to ask around on this one. Interested in seeing what other ladies think Good luck and let us know what you decide.
  11. Ok I ordered some to test on my birthday. Hopefully they come in by next Thursday
  12. I never thought to look on Amazon. I think I will order some and "test" them
  13. jesmcan - Liliana is no longer with Kool Beach Club. Have they reached out to you?
  14. I just found this site yogile.com and I think it is great for sharing wedding photos. You can create an account and everyone can add their pictures to it, using their own login. You just create the URL on the site and give it to everyone. Example URL www.yogile.com/BrideandGroom What i really like is you can download the pictures and print anywhere you like. Enjoy!
  15. I also haven't been able to find the small packages of advil either. Â Day after I find 2 decks of cards for $1, I go to Scarbourgh towncenter and atthe dollar store there (not dollarama, the other one). They have 3 for $1 and also mini ones for 3 for a dollar. They also had a lot of magnetic travel games.
  16. Was at Absolute Dollar at Vaughn Mills today. I got 2 packs of card for $1, dominos and travel size backgammon. I was so excited!
  17. I like with this mask, i thee sleep! very cute  Where did you order them from? How was the quality when they came in? thanks!
  18. I know my brother tried them and was pretty happy with the results. Has anyone else had the same success? They are about $3 a patch once you add in shipping. So I would like to hear a few more success stories before I spend the money to put them in our OOT Bags. Â This is where I was looking at ordering from... http://www.zacalife.com/products.html Â
  19. Thanks, $80 isn't too bad at all. Â We have 60-70 people coming, so I wanted somewhere larger and that we could drink and dance until 2. Plus our parents really wanted a "real" reception whatever that means. Booking the beach club was a good half way point between our wants and theirs.
  20. SCarp : where are you located? I know flight center here in canada offered it to us. As well I know Wedding by Oceans posts a lot of these deals on facebook, maybe join their group. Maybe you could show those posts to your agent? Â We've decided to stay at Riu Palace RM but get married off the resort with a reception at Kool Beach club. But I find I still have a lot of resort questions. Looking forward to chatting with you all. Â The first question. Does anyone know how much a day pass in? It would be in May 2011. Â Thanks!
  21. Really love the candles. Just not sure about transporting all those votives down there? also really like the shells with the cards. I was considering the umbrellas and someone pointed out they might blow away. Have decide how to weigh them down.
  22. What a great idea! Where did you find them? How much where they? Thanks for sharing!
