So on a SEMI positive note, I got my gown from David's. I had gone in there before, so I knew what to expect. The ONLY reasons I went in there were A) I already have a reception dress from a bridal boutique that I LOVE! and I did not want to spend over $300 for the ceremony dress. So, I found a dress for $250 that I am satisfied with. It is lightweight, flowy, and exactly the type of thing I was looking for. The service is not all that spectacular, and it is a little rushed with consultants often juggling brides. Best time to go is on a weekday, then you will likely get one on one attention. It is a busy place with a mall store atmosphere, no aesthetics or nice decor. If you go in there expecting a posh boutique, with boutique service, you WILL be disappointed. I knew what I was up against so I just took it all in stride, handled my business, and got out of there.
