  1. Keep it a secret. Once he sees how beautiful you look and you did this for him nothing else will matter.

I was going to have the Sky Wedding and Pearl Package but have cancel the Sky Wedding b/c of money. They probably have changed things a few times sine I booked this December. HAHA KittenHeart: I am not sure if you are planning on telling your guests about the web camera through the Sky Wedding. We tried to access it when we were planning on using it but were not successful. MY FI played around for about a hour and downloaded some software that you needed. We did not continue to figure it out b/c we changed our minds but I thought my guests would not view the wedding if it was not easy.

It's a great deal and since I'm bringing some fabric from home and flowers too all I have to pay for are some rose petals and chairs. My bill is around $100 for the whole wedding! I'm getting a free dinner for 40 people after the wedding that is "semi-private" They curtain off part of a restaurant which is fine with me and then we're going to go party at the mojito lounge after. I was at el dorado royal for vacation in october 09 and the DJ let us hook our ipod up and dance the night away. I talked to some people at the hotel and they said there may be a live band for awhile early and then after 10pm there is a DJ and it shouldn't be a problem to hook our ipod up.......obviously up to the Dj of course, but I'm just gonna wing it and I'm sure it will be great fun no matter how it turns out! We have a group of 40 people going so we'll bring the party with us! Can you explain the free sweet wedding package to me more. I thought the Free Sweet Wedding Package was only at the El Dorado hotels not at Azul Sensatori.

If you are getting married at any of the Karisma resorts I'm pretty sure it applies (which it looks like you are Azul Beach). The promotion is that if you book more than 5 rooms, everyone in your party gets 20% off the rack rate and the bride a groom stay free for an average of the # of nights your guests stay in the same room category. For example, I have most of my guests staying in the jacuzzi jr suites and they are staying for an average of 4 nights. So.....we get a jacuzzi jr suite free for four nights. We are upgrading and using the credit to get the credit towards a honeymoon suite. I also think you get 20% off all services like reception, dinner etc. Did you get this deal? If not, you should call the hotel directly and they should give it to you. I just asked and they said it shouldn't matter if you have a TA. Good luck! I am also getting this promotion but I was told you need 16 rooms booked for the bride and groom to get a free room. So we are getting 20% off our room. So are you getting a few nights few and 20% off? Did you book through a Karisma TA? We are also getting 20% off our private reception.
  5. Thanks for the pro dust advice. I am going to look into it. I need to work on my wrinkles.

  7. I also love Bare Minerals and if you have an Ulta around your place they have great coupons and discounts.

    Hello!

I stayed at Secrets and loved it. I would would make a list of pro's & cons. Have you contacted any WC down there. Once I spoke to the WC I had my search down to one very easily.

He would use that piece of advice often.

THinking should I do them myself ahead of time or use theirs...if I DIY then should I ship...would that cost outweigh doing it myself... Also...what does Siggy mean?? hahahha I have no clue. I also heard horror stories from brides on this site about shipping. I actually think I read one yesterday. I would not ship anything. The center pieces were way to expensive from the hotel and I am nervous about how much stuff I am bringing down so I am going very very simple. We got cut outs of palm tree leaves and I have a luminary bag to go on top. I figure it all lies flat and is light. I am purchasing marockas (did I spell that correct) when I get down there. My friend just got back from Mexico and in town they are $1.00. The other thing I am doing is giving everyone who is coming a few things to bring down. All the stuff I need for the wedding will be in a carry-on bag.
  15. Congrats & Welcome. Take time to search the forum. All your questions will be answered.

It also worked out good for us b/c we would have to get it blessed when we came back plus my & FI's mom are happy that it is in the church first. I figure I can make them happy for this. I have been looking at pictures of the beach ceremony and I notice all of the pictures have a wooden runner but all the packages include a red carpet. What are you guys having as a runner? Have you seen what the red carpet looks like? We were going to have the Sky Wedding but decided b/c of money to do it on the beach. I had the wooden runner already in my mind but if the red carpet looks ok, I will go with that.
  17. Welcome & congrats. This forum has been a life saver just spend some time going through the treads. I took a sick day one day b/c I was addicted to it at first.
