I emailed Aurora but didn't get a definite answer, she just said she'll put the 7:30pm start time in my file... so do you think I'll have issue with having it end at 10:30? I don't think that should be an issue at all. I have my ceremony set at 6, cocktail hour from 6:30-7:30 and reception from 7:30-10:30. I thought as long as it's over by 10:30 it's all good. That's what I'm planning on anyway. Let me know if you hear otherwise, but I'm pretty sure 10:30 end time is fine.

Where are you sitting him? You know, I haven't even thought about where I'm sitting anyone yet. I think I'm just going to go with the flow in terms of the seating chart. I'm only having 30 or so guests so I'm just going to let everyone sit wherever they like and hope it works out!

I am actually paying for Samuel to stay at the resort overnight as part of the package so I won't need a day pass. Sorry I can't help with that one, but I would say a full-day pass just to make sure he is there to catch everything you want shot. I've read reviews where they actually don't even charge for day passes, but I guess it depends who's running the front desk. And, yes, I was planning on buying him dinner too even though it will cost a small fortune:-) I'm hoping a happy photographer makes a great photographer!!! Pictures are SOOO important to me; that's one area I'm not skimping on! See you there!!

I wanted to do a bonfire but it doesn't sound like that is an option any longer Also, I am not sure if this has been answered lately, but does anyone know what the nightly schedule of events is? i.e. Mexican and Caribbean fiestas, fire dancers, etc. I was told the Mexican Fiesta was on Tuesday and the firedancers were on Friday? Who knows, I think they often change the schedule.

Need help choosing a photographer!!!!
Cheri replied to jerzygirl85's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
This is such a hard choice! I spent hours going back and forth and finally landed on Flash Portfolio | Top Mexico Photographers | Mexico Destination Wedding Photographer Samuel Luna. He's an awesome photojournalist and you get a lot of bang for the buck with him. Happy choosing! -
photographers?
Cheri replied to nucci's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
I think you can't go wrong with any of the above mentioned, but I thought I should throw out there Flash Portfolio | Top Mexico Photographers | Mexico Destination Wedding Photographer Samuel Luna. He's awesome and very reasonable!! After hours of staring at portfolios, I went with Samuel. Best of luck choosing! -
I'll take the Gracias tags and the pillowcases if the bride-to-be before me changes her mind! I'll PM you!

I was always worried about not getting enough pictures and wanted to come home with a disc of A LOT of pictures....like my sisters did when they got married in Canada. So the only person I came across who promised that he has never given a bride less than 700 pictures is Samuel Luna. He is a photo journalist, so his pictures really capture the moment and he knows how to get those shots that only happen for a couple seconds. Very nice man, responds very fast, and I've heard great things about him. I've added him on facebook and it's neat to see new pictures and hear peoples reviews. Let me know if you want more information....he sent me a brochure that outlined his usual wedding day and it is EXACTLY what I was looking for (the dress, getting ready, ceremony location, ceremony, reception, etc...). Hi Girls! I'm getting married right around the same time as you girls are and I also booked Samuel Luna! He seems awesome! Glad to see another Dreams bride chose him. See you there!

Quote: Originally Posted by Cheri Hi Girls! My indecisiveness could be your gain. I bought 4 wedding dresses--I know a little extreme-- but I have made my decison and the Kirstie Kelly gets to move on to someone else who loves it like I do. It's labeled size 16, street size 14. This gown was ordered with 2x extra length to work for a bride a little over 6' tall. I am 5'5" so I was just going to have it altered to fit. A master seamtress told me this dress can be altered down 3 sizes easily. It Champagne in color and the material is chiffon and satin. Purchased in 2009, still has original tags. The original owner wore this at an outdoor wedding so the bottom 4 inches or so have some markings which I was told could be taken out with "wet" cleaning. This wasn't an issue for me since I was going to have the bottom cut off anyway. "This enchanting collection reflects Jasmine's bohemian spirit. Gown draped in chiffon and satin. Celestial pleated bodice with classic empire seam. Chiffon skirt drapes dramatically in back." This gown sells new for $2300-2700, depending where you purchase it. I'm trying to regain what I paid so I'm asking $1300. May consider offers--this wedding stuff is getting expensive!! I'm having trouble uploading photos of the dress, but I can either email some to you or you can do a google search and find photos of the dress. It truly is a spectacular dress. Perfect for beach wedding. I really would like to pass this on to someone else who will love it so I'm lowering the price to $1000!! It truly is a beautiful gown. Let me know if you have any questions! -

I am bringing a bunch of clear glass candle holders, I doubt very highly ANYONE would take those, so that might be a sure thing, you can have all of those, just bring tea lights for them =) oh and May 25h is my birthday!! xoxo Thanks so very much!! I will gladly take whatever your guests leave and I truly appreciate this!!! And Happy Birthday if I don't see you at the resort!!

Our reception is now at the relaxed pool so I'll probably bring A LOT of candles for lighting as the tikki torches are $150 for 3 at the resort... I don't think you'll have trouble clearing customs, just bring receipts so I hear. Don't feel stressed out! If you want to use some of my decorations you are more than welcome to, I am arriving on May 16th to the resort =) Just remember to give them back by Friday of course! hahaha. xoxo Hi AchiCAp0547!! Love your decorating ideas! Please let me know if you'd be interested in passing any of it down. I'm going for the whole "fun" Mexican concept too! I'm arriving on the 21st and my wedding is on the 25th. I'll see you there!!
