  1. Thanks Wendy - that makes sense and will probably work better - thanks again! I really like the first one since it seems much easier to carry - at least for women - but FI preferred the shopping bag type since it will probably be a better wine/grocery bag after our wedding. I decided to let him have this one... Thanks again!
  2. Thanks so much wendy for the coupon code. I'm determined to place my order today! The tutorial video is not working on their website. I was wondering if ladies here can help. I have an image I'd like printed with 2 tone colors - do I need to select 2 color and specify the 2 colors to use for the print or will they use the colored image I provided? TIA!
  3. This looks amazing - I think I may go and look for a cricut and cuttlebug myself. How many did you make and how long did it take you? Thanks!
  4. Vday - Thanks for posting - I think I'm spoiling my ladies - I keep ordering for the ladies and haven't done anything for the guys - oh well - that's my FI's problem Thanks again for providing the link too.
  5. Hi - I am struggling try to decide between flying a photographer from Boston vs hiring a photographer in Riviera Maya area. Has anyone flown a photographer down from Boston? If so: How did the cost compare to the hiring someone local in MX? Who did you use from Boston and would you recommend? Really appreciate any insight you may have. TIA.
  6. Hello TAs - I am looking for a TA who can help me coordinate flights (US and Canada) and resort reservations (Dreams Tulum). I've completed the form a couple weeks ago and just completed one a few days ago but have not heard back. I'm not sure if there is something wrong with the form so decided to post here just in case. Thanks, V
  7. Hi Blkatz, I just checked out Dreams425 wedding review and she had her wedding on the beach - she did have a few pictures in front of the chapel. Michelle - Are you planning on decorating the chapel for your ceremony? If so, can you share? I'm thinking flowers on the benches but I decide if I want organza on the benches as well? and also thinking about adding flowers that hang from the lights? Thanks.
  8. Thank you for your detailed review and all the pictures. You look great and it seems like everyone had a blast! Love the wedding party picture on the checkerboard.

We will then just dance barefoot in the sand for the reception. I just thought I should give you a heads up in terms of your first dance they have a strict no music, no dancing policy for the wine cellar so you will def have to do your first dance before you go to dinner during your cocktail hour or later on in the disco. Hope this helps. Thanks Michelle. I did not know the no music/dancing policy in the wine cellar. I never thought about doing our first dance before the reception - that might be the solution. Just out of curiosity, how are you planning on introducing the first dance? Thanks again! -V
  10. Hi: My fiance and I just returned from our site visit and have confirmed a date (and will be posting my details next)! We are so excited that we found the perfect place. I was at first a little worried about the distance from CUN and it took us 1.5 hrs ride instead of 2 hrs so that was great. Our driver from Dreamsday was great (Marc Anthony) so it made it fly by too. We decided to have the ceremony in the chapel. I've been searching and searching for photos of wedding ceremonies in the chapel with no success. Can past brides please PM me with photos for inspiration? (pretty please?) We haven't quite decided on reception dinner yet - we are thinking the wine cellar (indoors) and we are only expecting around 20-25 ppl but I don't know where and how we could have our first dance! Any suggestions?

There are so many great photographers - how does one pick?

Aurora sent me the wedding packet where I need to fill out all of my information before the wedding. One of the parts was- I needed to fill out an excel of all of my guests attending, and their flight info. I have had a lot of problems with both mine and my fiance's family/friends either 1) never sending back their RSVP and we need to keep calling them to get an answer or 2) they sent back the RSVP but never booked, now a year after we sent out the invitations the price has gone up (obviously) so now they don't know if they are going to come or not. So we don't really have a final head count for me to send back to her. So I asked her, if I put a name down as they are coming, but then don't actually end up coming, do I need to pay for their plate? (We have AROUND 45 people coming, but I don't know exactly) She said no, we can give the final count once we get there and pay then. I see all of the pictures of the weddings here at Dreams Tulum, and everyone for the most part has bridesmaids and a bunch of family there with them. It's hard to explain what my fiance and I have gone through with our family and friends, but to make a long story short- we have no bridal party, some of our closest friends couldn't be more Inconvenienced, and aren't even coming, While others are complaining- "why are you getting married so far away this is soo much". (the weddings of our friends we've been in, we've never "skimped" on them, always gone above and beyond and given more than we could even afford) The only family members that are coming are our parents and his brother, all of our Aunts and Uncles, my sister and brother, think its ridiculous that we're getting married in Mexico and don't want to get their passports or have any desire to go to Mexico so they're not coming. I just wonder if anyone had this problem, I hope not, but I hope I'm not the only weirdo who isn't important enough to most of the people in my life? Don't get me wrong, we do have a handful of people who are excited, practically my whole office is coming because they're excited to go to Mexico and drink tequilla. Thank goodness or else we'd have no guests at the wedding. I'm so sorry, this isn't the place to rant about these things, but just yesterday my "best friend" from college EMAILED me she isn't coming because she waited too long to book and now it's too much $. My best friend... good thing we decided against the bridal party. Sorry again for ranting, I'm just at a loss. Oh- Don't worry about that. My fiance and I are PAYING for everyone's travel and yet they STILL complain - why are you having it so far away - why did you pick a resort so far away from the airport, etc. At least you have a group of people who are excited to be there. Don't let the others ruin your mood. Cheers!

Thanks Butterfly. That's good to know. I was a little worried since I was waiting for Aurora to respond and ended having to pay a little more (not sure if it's because it was so close to the travel date). Nonetheless, my bad for not leaving enough time. Quote: Originally Posted by jerzygirl85 I dealt with Aurora maybe once or twice. To me, all the WC's respond within a week or so. As for the site visit...I was planning a trip last year and told one of the WCs that I would be there for a long weekend and that I would like to have a meeting with them. I got a response back with a date and time to meet so I don't think you will have a problem meeting with one of them. Thanks jerzygirl - that is good to know. I purposely planned a few business days so that I can meet with a WC. I may have missed this from other posts. Is Aurora a WC or is she an assistant? I've heard of Natalia in the prior posts so was surprised when Aurora responded.
  14. I'm really sorry to hear about the cancellation. At this time, don't forget to take good care of yourself! I hope you are able to sell your dresses.
  15. Hi Ladies, Just wondering what your experience has been working with Aurora? Has Aurora been responsive to everyone here? I've been trying to schedule a site visit through her for a few days and haven't heard at all so not sure how the wedding planning process would be. I finally just scheduled the visit online. Hopefully, I will get a chance to meet with Aurora and visit the wedding and reception location options. I'll try to take some pictures of all the locations and report back to everyone.
