  4. Hi ladies...please respond with any thoughts/advice on my plans so far...were getting married in November with about 50 people..Im thinking the ceremony at 4pm at the Chichen gazebo, arriving on the horse, not sure if I should hire the pianist or guitar player for that....cocktail hour from 5-6 at the Cove Terrace or Pandero Terrace and hire the mexican trio...reception from 6-10 at the Marraca Terrace or Solarium Mundaca Terrace and have the ipod sound system with technician...thinking Octavio Montes for photographer...ASP videographer...Im not going with a package, just putting together my own...not sure what im going to do for aisle decorations, bm bouquets and centerpieces yet...Im sending out my invitations in July with RSVP date of Sept 1st...thinking buying marrachas once we get there for favors..im doing OOT bags but not sure if I'll give them to my guests before we leave for Mexico or put them in their rooms for when they arrive..wow! and they say planning a destination wedding is easy! thanks..Nicole

I would double check but maybe you could reserve the passes and if they don't show up you won't be charged Nope, standard outlets. I got mine through the resort. For me the cost was worth it not to drag stuff down to Mexico and back esp since I wouldn't want to keep any of the decor afterward. Sorry can't be of more help in regards to bringing stuff down. My advice though...don't over due it. Let the location be the "centerpiece". They set up a bar ust for your party and have bartenders/waiters etc. That's why you pay extra for a private event. NAM--- you are the best! i think its awesome that you still come on here to help us future brides out with your advice...thank you so much, it is appreciated

I just don't want to spend a lot of time with her when we get there. I can only imagine what kind of mood that will put my FI in! I'm still waiting for her to send the ceremony, the info on the spa and excursions. The ceremony is what I'm most concerned about right now. Good Luck! Oh yeah, we get married June 8th! =) Yikes! my wedding is 6 months away and I get nervous when she doesnt respond quickly to me...if it were only a few weeks away I would be having a heart attack!!! hopefully she'll respond soon...if not, try to relax and be confident that our wedding is occuring in paradise, so no matter what it will be beautiful

I highly recomend him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer was their Cancun/Riviera Maya wedding. His website is octaviomontes.com if you are interested. Hello! Congratulations on your wedding I have been researching Octavio and Im very interested in hiring him...can you please post some pics or email mes some [email protected] thank you so much, Nicole

The resort is charging unreasonable prices for just about everything. Thats awesome that you already have 32 people booked!! How did you do that?! I feel like you have a good amount of people booked so you might not need an early RSVP date. I have one person booked so Im making my RSVP date for July. Im sending out invitations to people that I know wont come, just because I dont want to be rude. Even if they dont attend the wedding, they might even send you a wedding gift because they were invited. Hi! Im very interested in Adrian Herrera...can I ask you what made up your mind to choose him? the only thing that is making me hesitant is that there are not many reviews on here about him...do you know of anyone who used him so we can see his work? As far as music were hiring the mexican trio for cocktail hour, then i think im renting the ipod docking station with speakers and playing my ipod...not sure yet

  18. Hi Aventura brides...my wedding is now 6 months away (November) so Im starting to feel like I need to get things done..I sent out the save the dates in January...we currently have about 30 people booked..hoping for another 20..I ordered my dress and my bridesmaids ordered theres...I feel like the next thing I need to do is hire a photographer and order invitations...does anyone have any suggestions on these two has anyone ever used the photographer from aventura? if so how was the experience? as far as invitations, when do you send them out for a destination wedding? thanks so much for any help/advice...Nicole

  20. Hi ladies! Im getting married November 5 @ Aventura Spa Palace in Riviera Maya Mexico...we sent our save the dates out in January...32 people are booked so far...hoping to have a total of around 50 My dress is ordered, as our my bridesmaids..thats really all I have done so far I guess the next two important things to have done are hire a photographer (does anybody know how good the one at the resort is?) and send out invitations I was uncertain about this one...how far in advance should I send them out and when should I make the RSVP date? I was thinking not till september, but now after reading your posts I feel like I should do them sooner...also do I send invitations to people, even though Im pretty sure they're not coming what is the etiquette for this?

Hi Rachel...i just looked through all of your pictures, you looked beautiful...What gazebo was your ceremony in and where was your cocktail hour held? also I love the maraccas! thanks...Nicole

Hi Julieswedding! thank you so much for all of your helpful information...you must be so excited for your daughters wedding...its so close! Can I ask you, how many people do you have coming to the wedding? and who did your daughter hire as the photographer/videographer? i saw the picture of the Chichen gazebo, it looks beautiful..do you know if the horse and carriage can come right up to that gazebo? sorry for all the questions thank you, Nicole
