I think they like to know in advance which appetizers and buffet choice you want, but when you get there if you eat something at a restaurant that you really enjoy then you can ask to substitute it for something else...I remember reading on here somewhere that a bride said she requested a pineapple cheesecake wedding cake and that it was amazing...where are you having the cocktail hour and reception? with that many people im assuming you qualified for the unlimited private functions...which is so great! who is your photographer? good luck with everything...Nicole

Trash the dress - need help!
nicdeb928 replied to vmelendez319's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Its a tough decision...i agree! I definitely want to do a ttd session because the pictures come out beautiful and ive heard the experience is so romantic...Im unsure yet if ill wear my gown or buy a 2nd cheap one to wear...i do understand though that it doesnt make sense to spend more money on another one, so your original can hang in a closet...hmmm...still undecided -
My wedding is 5 months away, and ive been engaged for 5 months...I have to say, I havent felt stress about much at all..its been a really nice process...I think the best advice is to relax and let it all roll...It helps to have a wonderful fiance and a great travel agent...after that it kind of just goes...the only thing ive been a little stressed over was picking a photographer...i feel that its so important and its hard to choose when they live in another country...when i feel a little stressed i look at past brides dw pictures and i smile and look forward to mine

Hi Ladies! Im wondering if any of you have or will do a trash the dress session? If so, where did you do it? ASP doesnt have a beach or an ocean so I dont really think it will be worthwhile to take the pictures there at the resort....does anyone have any suggestions of a place to meet my photographer and do the pictures? also, should I buy a 2nd cheap dress to wear that day? i'll be doing the TTD pictures on a saturday and the next day ill be leaving for home...i cant imagine taking a wet, sandy bridal gown back on the plane...suggestions/advice

I can't really tell if it is nice or not from the pics she sent me. Otherwise - I might switch to the spa side...But is it correct the spa side gazebo burned down? What are the other ceremony locations on the spa side if it did? Decisions, decisions... Yeah!!! everything finally sounds like its coming together for you The Coba gazebo looks beautiful, I love the pandero terrace, thats where I think Im doing mine and Marracas Terrace is also where I think Im having my reception...I dont have any better pictures for you, then the ones she sent me, but I like the fact that its not directly on the sand, so the ladies can wear their heels, but is right next to the beach, just a few steps up...the furniture is awesome in the picture but I found out that its extra to have that..the only thing I was concerned about was if it was private enough...supposedly the gazebo on the spa side has been fixed and looks beautiful again...I think the only place on the spa side big enough for you to have your reception in is the Spa Terrace, is that the same thing as the spa gazebo? im so confused by all these places...there is also a Chichum (sp?) gazebo on the spa side that looks beautiful, its right in front of the pools...

I did check out Adrian Herrera, i was thinking about going with him but he kept responding that Sara was unavailable that day, but when I would ask about him I would get the same response about Sara...I was a little confused, I dont know if they only work together as a team his prices were good, and alot cheaper than Victor but Octavio was still cheaper...I think I made my decision, I now how to just hope for the best thanks, Nicole

We had a pretty big engagement party, planned that so people who will not be joining us in Mexico could have a time to celebrate with us...It was very nice, but Im glad its over, I wouldnt want to plan something else after all the planning for this wedding...Its very nice if a family member throws it for you though

Im still stressing about the photographer I love the work of Del Sol, Victor Herrera and Elizabeth Medina...but they are out of my price range...Im thinking of using Octavio Montes but I havent been able to find enough of his work...any suggestions/recommendations? this has been my hardest decision so far!
