  1. Welcome! I am another Jamaican bride to be! You will find great info in the Jamaica section. Happy planning!
  2. Welcome fellow Vancouver bride! There are actually quite a few of us out there! Congrats and happy planning.
  3. Great to see another Canadian girl out there! Congrats and happy planning!
  4. Welcome! There is a lot of great info under the 'Jamaica' section including reviews for your location (and many others). I'm getting married in Jamaica too and I have found this website SO helpful! Happy planning!
  5. Welcome Leanne! I am also from Vancouver but I'm getting married in Jamaica. Keep in touch with any questions/concerns!
  6. When I talked to her I got the impression she shoots all over but she loves Jamaica. I would contact her and ask availablility and tell where you are going as there are some restrictions for photogs from other countries.
  7. I actually just noticed her other post under "Best florist in Jamaica" with links to these pics iberostar jamaica - a set on Flickr I would love to know about the costs as the reception look gorgeous!
  8. She posted a review and it looks like her reception was at 'Uncle Tony's' at the Beach hotel. See her review under 'Jamaica' .
  9. Wow, sounds great! I would also love to see some pictures, especially of Uncle Tony's. Glad to hear that Tai did an amazing job, their work looks amazing online. I may consider changing to them now from Grande Garden. Congrats!

But if its just for a cake or flowers - they would just be dropping it off and leaving so no fee for that. I guess we are all just patiently waiting to hear the reviews from the two brides that just got married here! Great to see another Vancouver bride as well! We will have to keep in touch on the forum as the months go by. Sooo excited!

Nicole is a very nice girl she is very helpful and you have a wonderful property. When i met with Nicole she knew Grande garden would be my florist she said that was fine there is no fee, also another thing i discovered is you can do gift baskets Grande Garden does them they look great but to cut cost what i decided to do was to take gift bags of my choice meaning my wedding colour and just have them deliver the stuff and my bridesmaids will pack them. I guess if u want the trus Caribbean feel u can have them pack it in baskets which will cost u more than just taking down the bags. Contact them for gifts the prices are not bad. Take care everyone Asheeki, could you give me an approx list of the gift prices from Grande Garden, I am looking into them organizing my decor and my favors. Thanks!
  12. I tried the WC for the Beach hotel like a week ago. Still no response though
  13. Just thinking about this as an afterthought, does anyone know if there is a vendor fee for outside photogs or florists, cakes, etc??
  14. Virgotech you looked amazing! Thanks for the post of pics. I'm sure we would all love to know more about your amazing trip when you get a chance!
  15. Wow, great pics! Could you give us an idea of costs?
  16. Hi everyone, not sure how to upload pics from this Sandals website, but my inspiration is the 'Tropical Paradise' theme they offer see Island Wedding: Martha Stewart Island Paradise Wedding Theme - Sandals Resorts
  17. Ok so I did a search and found Jan's email under another post topic, her email is [email protected]. I emailed her regarding decor and I will compare the quote to the one I got from Grande Garden, I will post what I find.
  18. Is something wrong with Jan's site; I can't get in without a password. Can someone post jan's email addy, thanks!

  20. OMG the wago is TOO cute! Not sure what they offer in Jamaica but you can always ask the people organizing decor (e.g. Grande Garden, Tai Floral, etc.) they always seem to have connections.
  21. I have attached the locations for the wedding ceremony and reception at Iberostar Beach. Hopefully you can open them but I think you need a certain amount of points. If not, PM me and I will email them to you. Reception Site.pdf Wedding%20Locations[1].pdf
  22. Has anyone had problems getting the petals into the country as they are technically a 'foreign plant' product? I also looked into Petal Garden and they sent me a free sample which was great. They have 'pathway petals' that are $49.95 for 64 cups and $89.95 for 128 cups. How many cups would be needed?
  23. Hi everyone, I had been in contact with Grande Garden to do my reception decor which they have been great about so far (but I'm waiting on a final quote). Has anyone used this vendor for favors for guests? They said they can organize favor like Jamaican Rum, coffee, spices, etc. Or has anyone used another vendor to organize favors?
  24. Thanks for the tip. I was looking into fake ones since fresh are so expensive. I think I might stick to the free dried ones as they seem to be a less expensive alternative, Petal Garden has some good deals on 'Pathway petals'
