  2. Hello Girls! I imagine everyone is planning, planning because the forum has been so quiet lately. Update regarding our wedding: Father Jean Lacaille emailed us back, all of our church paperwork is set, and so we couldn’t be happier that it is all set! It took us forever to get all set, as we had to wait for some papers to come from my church in Argentina All appointments for the hair/make up are set and schedule with Dreams. I’m working with Laura from the Spa directly, but Carolina had told me that she could set up the appointments if needed, but I already had set up everything with Laura. Our flowers have been orders from http://www.wedideas.com/and they should arrive at the end of this month. We ordered bouquets for me and bridesmaids, Boutonnieres for my FI, Best Man/Groomsmenand fathers. As well as corsages for both of our mothers. Table runners arrived on Thursday and they are simply amazing! I ordered my BD book from Kodak Gallery, I hope FI loves it! Regarding the resort, I’ve been in touch with Carolina detailing the event, we decided on the menu (Gold) added a cocktail reception, added an extra hour for the event, as well as extra champagne for the entire evening. She also emailed us pictures for the color tablecloth and chair sashes available, I will post them below for all of you to know what they have available right now. We also organized a trip to Saona Island for our group, which is optional and each guest is responsible for the trip. Basically in our welcome package we are telling them that we doing the trip on certain day and they are more than welcome to join us if they would like, and that they need to contact the concierge directly. I have this set up as well with the concierge at Dreams in that way we our guests call they are aware that they are part of our group. I’m working with Elvira from Dreams, she is Chief Concierge. I think that’s pretty much it for this week… A bit crazy but I love it! Lol
  3. We are using Arcos Agency http://arcosagency.com/ and working with Vera Araujo. If you call her, tell her Eliana recommended her. she will take care of you.
  4. I believe you have to pay additional for the CD. Email your WC to double check.
  5. Oh Jennniiiifeeeeerrrr your big day is coming so fast!!!! Congrats girl! I can't wait to see your pics!
  6. Oh Beach reception! here are the pictures that Carolina sent me as well as the requirements: " Regarding the reception at the beach, please note that to set it, it has to be in a buffet style and to have a buffet to minimum of guests required is 35 guests. The hotel will charge a fee of U$15.00 for the beach set up, over the buffet price." The pictures are not very inspiring.... BUT.... look at these ones that are from a real wedding at Dreams!!!! I saw these pictures at the following link: http://www.destinationweddingmag.com/real-weddings/144152/1 Buffet dinner numero 1 2 y 3 2010[1].doc
  7. Hi MsClarke724, Most banquet tables are 66 inches and from the pictures I've seen from Dreams they seem to be that size. The biggest that I've seen in the past are are 72 inches which will still work for the runners. If you want to be on the safe size, you should get runners that are 108", but in my opinion the 72 inches should work. You can always ask your wedding coordinator the size of the tables, but they will send you a measure in centimeters or meters as that's what we use in caribbean, central & south america.
  8. Etsy is the best website ever! My runners shop, Floratouch: http://www.etsy.com/shop/floratouch?ref=seller_info They are 72"x13", I was looking for sooo longgg for this exact fabric that I couldn't believe when Michelle from Floratouch posted them on 9/28.
  9. Misty, carolina wasn't friendly??? what happened? she is my WC as well....
  10. Hi Girls! Update regarding our planning, the last few weeks have been very productive after a busy september with lots of work! For those of you who don't know me (as we have a few new girls) I am an event planner for Marriott so my days are filled with lots of fun! lol This past month was so busy as apart from my job I took on two extra projects, co-workers wedding and cousin's baby shower. But now as the month is over, I've achieved a few things for our wedding which is only TWO MONTHS from today!!!! This week we finalized the following: Church paperwork as we are having a catholic ceremony. I purchased my shoes: Badgley Mischka Pink Randee, I completely adore them!!! My dress was shipped from Maggie Sottero, should be here in two weeks for fitting! I got my sixpence for my shoes! wondering what this is? check this website: http://weddingsixpence.com/ not a lof of people know about this! We organized times for hair and make up for all the girls in the bridal party, both moms and me. We purchased the presents for the bridemaids and the mom's presents. The centerpieces are "partially" done. Floating candles, floralytes, vases, etc. I will post pics once they are completed. I found the most AMAZING Aqua damask table runners! We ordered seven and I can't wait to see them! BD shoot done with Jenerations by Jennifer (http://jenerations.com/) she was amazing!!!! Right now are are working on our luggage tags for the group, pre travel brochure, hair/make up style, menus, programs, welcome bags, etc. etc. etc. Basically the two next months will be crazy, but we can't wait for December 1st to arrive. How's everyone else doing with planning???

  20. lol I'm one of those brides that loves to share my ideas rather than keep them a secret! I think the more we share the better we can make each others wedding!!! Is not like we all have the same guests attending!!! lol
  21. MISTY CONGRATS ON YOUR LEGAL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you will have an amazing experience once you get to DR, and yes, do not wait for the coordinator anymore and copy the GM, Sales director, etc, whoever you need to copy on your emails to make sure you get from her what you need. Hi Jenn, regarding the dinners/events that we have planned for the week, we are still trying to figure that out, but so far, we have a "Welcome Cocktails" schedule for November 29th at 7PM as all of our guests will be there on that day, some of them arrive before that, but we felt that two nights before the wedding would be nice to get everyone together for cocktails (we might add a bonfire with a bar, depending on the final number of guests and our budget). The second event we have schedule is called: "Nenes por un lado, Nenas por el otro, Fiesta!" Translated it means girls on one side and boys on the other party! I hope it makes sense, but basically on November 30th we will have the group split between women and men. Both groups will have dinner in separate restaurants and possibly get together at the club after. Basically what we wanted to do was for me to spend time with all of the girls and my FI to spend time with his guys. By the way, all optional, we are not making anyone have to be part of this if they don't want to. The last thing we have schedule so far are "Farewell Cocktails" the night after our wedding as most guests will be departing on 12/3. SO... things might change from now until them, but this is what we have so far... Hope it helps! Sarah... any update on your situation????
  22. I've been kind of crazy here between my sister visiting from Argentina and my bridal shower. We are also going on vacation the last two weeks of august to Europe, which means less time to do wedding things! Apart from my weddings from work, I've taken on two extra events on the side. I'm planning a country themed wedding for September 5th (colors are orange and green) and a baby shower for September 26th with a cherry blossom theme. Therefore, I'm extremely busy trying to finalize all details for both of these events before our vacation. Regarding our wedding, we have 2 more people coming, total of 22 guests plus the two us, which is great! Hopefully we will get a few more in the next few months. My wedding dress should be arriving in September, my second dress (short one) is already in my closet and fits great! (I will change into this dress for the last few hours of the evening - in that way I can dance all night! ). I also just purchased a third dress (lol) for the TTD session, which I can't wait to try on!!! I should get it in the mail in a few days. My FI also purchased his outfit from Banana Republic and the groomen's outfits are also ready to go. mmm.... what else??? Oh yes, I did had my Boudoir photo session with Jen this past week, her website is http://www.jenerations.com/, she was AMAZING! The pictures looked great! I can't wait to have them all edited and ready to go! This is my wedding present to FI, I know he will LOVE THEM! I think that's everything for now.... Misty your big day is coming up sooo sooonnnnnn! Jenise you are next!!!!!!!!!!! by the way Jenise, you are the HOTTEEESTTT chef I've ever seen in my life!!! (I saw one of your pics by mistake in Jen's computer, I recognizeedd youuu right away!)
