We first consider having the iPod for our wedding, but after working on our budget and talking about it, my FI and I decided that we really wanted a dj to make sure everyone dances all night and now having to worry at all regarding the music. I think an ipod could had work too, but it depends on you and your wedding guests.

We had to do a some paperwork to get have a catholic ceremony. But it is the same paperwork that you will get if you got marry at the actual church. In DR you can get marry outside the church depending on the resort. Never on the beach, just check with your resort. Actually our WC send us all of the paper work for the church.

Hi Christy, we are having a catholic ceremony at the resort. I was also concern about having to hire transportation from the resort to the church, so we decided to have the catholic ceremony at the wedding gazebo, at our resort.

Hello girls!!!!! I hope you are all doing well with your wedding planning! For us, this past weekend it was great, we were able to achieved a LOT, lol. We are ALMOST finish with the invitations (in three languages! lol), we finish putting together our budget and we also decided on hiring DJ Mannia for our event. It was funny that both my FI and I at the same time started talking about having a DJ for the wedding. Our families love to dance and we felt that an iPOD might not do it for us, and especially for our family as I'm sure we won't be able to make them stop dancing! lol At the same time, we decided to add the fire show, platinum cocktail reception to our event and the gold dinner menu (I hope we can choose one gold and one platinum withuot a problem). We selected our menus and decided on having the caribbean trio for our cocktail reception. At the same time, we decided to pay for an extra hour for the wedding (1 hour cocktails, 4 hours for dinner - 3 included one extra) I just can't seem to find anywhere how much it costs to add this extra hour per person. Hi Terri, we choose to stay on the honeymoon suite for 8 nights to get the comp. package. The reason why is because we wanted to customize our wedding in the way we wanted it, for example, I didn't want to use the resort photographer (personal preference) so I didn't want any package that included pictures (which both of them do!). That is one of the reasons why we choose the comp. package. Any private dinner includes the open bar. I hope this helps. Girls, I'm going crazy regarding the dj vs iPod. We think we want a DJ now... lol so, MANNIA DJ is supposed to be great. The price of the Dj service is 800usd and includes: Sound system Professional Dj Dj booth Wireless microphone Lighting (The light that is included are 2 robotic moving head and we use this to light up the dancefloor) 4 hour service each extra hour is 150 usd. Has anyone use any other DJs? I really wanted a lighted dancefloort, but this DJ doesn't provide it... any suggestions or ideas
