HI!! My Fiance and I are getting married at EDR in May of this year! I am super excited but stressed at the same time. We will be having about 25 people down there with us and we decided to do the free wedding! I was wondering about the dinner at El Cocotal. I hoped it would be nice enough. I didn't even think about negotiating things for the wedding. Flowers, runner, etc. Has that worked? Do you talk to Lomas Travel (I am also dealing with Valeria), or the coordinator when I get to the resort. We weren't going to do a private reception there b/c we are having a party when we get back as well. I guess I am looking for advice, ideas, experiences, etc. This website is great and I really should look at it more!

Hi!! I just joined the site per a recommendation from someone I met on TheKnot.com. The site seems like it has a lot of great info. My name is Jamie and my fiance and I are getting married at The El Dorado Royale, on May 13, 2010!!! I have never been to Riviera Maya before but I heard it is amazing and that the resort is great! Look forward to learning more, getting ideas, and learning advice from other destination brides! Jamie
