I am sure it will be fine, and we all know that's what happens with a Destination Wedding -- lack of control, lol I think I just want to get the confirmation from Carolina instead of her assistant, then I will feel better lol. Well that's true -- I didn't even think to look where you were from. I have heard of comparable prices though for a week coming from the states too. I guess it all depends on where you are flying from, and when.

Does the 900 include taxes? Our trip is 995 +taxes for 7 days! So if that price that you quoted does not include taxes I do not think that is a good deal, and as a guest I would rather go to a place with comparable prices for the whole week. There are lots of people getting married at the Grand Palladium - they have 4 sections so depending on your guests budgets, they can pick the one that suits them best financially. It is also nice because it's big and their wedding packages are great!

I am just nervous because I want to start dealing with Carolina - I am sure her assistant is fine, but I have heard so many great things about Carolina and would prefer to work with her. Mostly because Kenia has not returned our emails for 2.5 weeks. Who is the next to get married?? I'm curious too!

Does anyone know how much the day pass is for Grand Palladium? I need to find out how much it will cost to bring the photographer in for the day!

Sorry - I haven't heard back from the resort photographer - well, he just said to call him when I get there and I haven't heard back since. It is Arnaud from HDC. His work is great, I just felt pressured.

I got in touch with Arnaud about doing photography, and I wanted to negotiate prices and customize a package based on what I want. He seems a little pushy, telling me that I won't find better quality or service etc. He also told me I should get back to him right away as my wedding is close. I don't like feeling pressured or pushed to do anything. I'm not sure how I feel about it now.

also!!! I have heard of some people being put in the "honeymoon" rooms during their wedding week -- does anyone know if they paid extra for this?

I am having my FI email Kenia today because we still haven't heard back about anything. Our Travel agent told us to email to tell them we booked the dates, so that she could 100% confirm us on their calendar for the 28th - they did that, but then we haven't heard anything since lol. I'm such a control freak, this is a test for me I guess.

I'm not until June! So Sad, I hope I find some June brides on here before then!!!!!

I think it depends on how private of a reception you want -- if you want to rent out a restaurant and have a private bar, it will cost you a lot more. We are going with the regular package, which offers dinner and then we are moving to another location (not yet decided) - I find it crazy to pay EXTRA for a premium bar when we are at an all inclusive!! That being said, I know that most packages do a maximum for dinner etc, but I don't see why they can't give you a deal, or discount for having 100 people!!! See what you can work out with the WC.

I forgot to mention that we are getting married at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana - so it's actually an extra 400 for the ROV that we are getting, and then we are moving to Dreams Palm Beach for our honeymoon - so I guess I could contact their photographer to see what he can do? What do you think?

I am switching resorts after the first week from Grand Palladium to Dreams Palm Beach, and I'm trying to figure out a way to do a TTD the second week without paying an arm and a leg for another photographer. Great, thanks for looking about the jewelery store!! I am about an hour from Bowmanville, but we have to head that way in a few weeks so I will try to stop in! I ordered my dress awhile ago and it says it was shipped yesterday!!!! I am so excited, it should be here in a week! I got it online, so we'll see -- but I custom ordered it with my measurements, so fingers crossed. Has anyone been able to get in touch with the resort photographer? I sent an email asking how much the charge is (I found on one palladium website that it was about 400-450 for the basic package), but when I emailed him to confirm he just wrote back saying that date works for him lol. Also -- what flowers are you guys choosing? And colors for the set-up?

UGHHH!!!!! I need to vent again -- soo my mom talked to my sister and now she says she is coming. Not sure what my mom did to convince her, but apparently all is good now! haha...BUT my bridesmaid just backed out. She got married last year and they didn't go on a honeymoon, so this was going to be it - but now they are planning on buying a house so they can't come. I'M SOOOOOOO FED UP!!! The problem is that my FI still has his 3 guys, and I dont' want anyone...what should I do? I just want him and I, and then a few people to be our witnesses...But I don't need anyone standing up there for me. I have other people I could ask, but they would be back-up, so I would rather not have anyone!

Whew!! You girls are ahead of me, haha I ordered my dress last week but I have had NO thought about what they will be wearing. My FI has looked at some linen pants for him, but he's tall and hasn't found a pair that fit right (and aren't so see-through that you can see everything), and a white button down dress shirt. The guys, we've mentioned putting them in khakis and a button down white shirt also. I want REALLY simple, no matching colors for this and they won't be wearing ties -- perhaps bouttenieres if I get fancy. lol I saw a picture of this set up and it looks really nice. Has anyone heard from Carolina or Kenia? My FI emailed to tel them we booked and wanted to know if we could firm up our time and we haven't heard back. I am assuming she was busy/off over the holidays so that's fine, but I know some people were getting bounced back.

That's great!! We are just going to do a ROV - and get married here awhile before, we have to figure out how much time in advance we should do that - I want to wait as close as possible to the date, but someone said paperwork takes awhile. Ah, that's something else I need to look into this weekend! lol... But yes - we leave the 22 and get married the 28, with our guests leaving the 29. We don't have flight times yet, so I just hope everyone doesn't have to leave too early on the 29th. Then we move to Dreams also on the 29th! So excited.
