I've been at resorts that had nothing -- but I would thikn that at the Grand Palladium there is the sports bar to go to or other places. Did you go there a lot? I've heard the food is amazing!!! (wings and beer!! )

Thanks Dawn! I am planning on just bringing a cd down for the ceremony and first dances - I suppose I will just put them in order and have them play them. I'm still deciding on my songs, I keep going back and forth between a bunch. It's such a tough decision. Tracy - I know you had your photographer take pics of the dances, were you happy with them? They are ones that I would really like to have, I just wasn't sure if I should have them instead of group photos. We customized a package with HDC so I don't get him for as long as the silver package (we split the time between wedding day and TTD) - so I'm trying to figure out how long everything will take. Were the before/getting ready shots worth it? I would like them, but again just trying to get the timeline down in my head and how long I need/will have for pictures.

I think it's just fine - you are at an all inclusive, and I'm sure your guests won't mind having to go 100 feet to get somethign they'd like to drink and bring it back. Champagne is provided so I wouldn't worry - your guests won't be thirsty! I debated this too -- but ultimately felt it wasn't worth it for the same reasons!

you all should come back in June for someeeeonee's wedding!! I am so excited - I hit under the 2 month mark yesterday! and even less until we leave (we leave the 22 and our wedding is on our guests last day - the 28th). So really my countdown goes until the 22nd. Once I'm there I'm happy! I'm nervous about the flight, I went to see this person to give me tips about flying (never been worried before, but really anxious about it this time) Can anyone tell me their happy flight stories - was it great having everyone with you on the flight? smooth? I'm terrified - but I plan on taking some anti-anxiety meds on the way! lol...or some drinks! How was check in at the hotel - what time did you all get there? We get to the resort around 9:30-10 at night now so we won't get to see anything until the next day!

Well I know Im not competing - but today I woke up and was magically 2 pounds lighter! BUT it was also my last day of teachers college -- so to celebrate they had cake for everyone. I took a piece of chocolate cake that had an amazing custardy filling -- and after the first bite I decided I had to have another one after. I proceeded to justify it by saying I don't know how I lost those 2 pounds, but this will even out...hahhaha oh boy. Two months to the wedding today!! I'm on after this.

I have definately not worked out today -- amazing to those who have!! back on track tomorrow!

Woo!!!!!!! I'm a teacher!! Well, officially lol they called us that in the closing ceremony today!! AND I'm 3 pints in, so I"m feeling very happy! haha- just called me sungoddess the teacher. I'm so excited - 2 months today until we get married!! I wish there were more brides in June! I have to say though, that hearing all of your stories has calmed my nerves completely, I am relieved and calm and trust everything will go smoothly. I don't plan on bringing any decorations or anything with me - and I just plan on having a great time while I'm there- no stress, just making sure I get out of the pool in time! lol I'm home all day tomorrow! Woo vacation!

Don't get down on yourself -- you are doing amazing. I totally understand how you feel, I find I set the bar so high and then when I slack even a little bit I feel terrible (when really, the bar was already set incredibly high and a break is deserved). I'm in a routine, that I can't believe I do everynight - 4 months ago I would have thought I was crazy. But Wow!! a 10k on Sunday, you are amazing - I can't even run 3! (literally) I'm more of a stairs girl - I can do a million laps of those. But it sounds like you are not that far off what you used to be (i.e. 10k in 50 minutes vs now of hour) That is still incredible. So keep your head up, and eye on the prize! You are all doing fabulous!

That is my plan - but I want to do dances after the ceremony so I'm not sure waht to do! I really want my feet in the sand -- but the gazebo looks amazing in yours and Dawn's pictures! p.s. msredbird51 - I wouldn't be nervous about reading the reviews - most of what the girls had to say was positive, and you have to remember that they all got married closely together, so perhaps Carolina was just completely overwhelmed. Also, wedding hicups occur anywhere, whether it is a desintation wedding or not. It is all about how YOU and your FI look at the situation, if you are concerned about every detail, then of course you will notice when things go array. I would not worry - the day is what you make of it. All in all, it seems like everyone had a great time - and while some of the scenarios could have been prevented (i.e. people being more careful with the brides belongings), it sounds like all of the amenities and resources were made available which is great. Thanks for sharing all the stories - I am even more excited and confident that Carolina and the resort will pull through!

Hi all! I actually just looked up steaming - and unfortnately it's not part of the package, it's extra and the price depends on the dress (15-85 or something?). Glad you both are back - Dawn your Wedding pics are amazing on facebook. It looks like you had a great time, and you look stunning! Tracy - your pictures are also amazing, I am so excited for the TTD after seeing your pictures. Was it fun? How long did you have the photographer for? We only booked him for an hour - I hope that's enough time. I have some questions if anyone can answer them! 1) For those who had a photographer - how long did you have them for the day of hte wedding? I booked HDC for 2 hours on the wedding day - I would like to have some before pictures (in the room, getting ready, ceremony set up etc.), then during the ceremony and then instead of doing group photos - I want prof pictures of our first dance, father daughter dance etc... Do you think this will be enough time? 2) What did you do for music at the ceremony - we have songs for the aisle, and then our subsequent dances (in the gazebo hopefully) that we will need speakers for - what did you use? 3) What restaurant did you have your dinner at? La Uva? Is it nice - how did they set it up with decorations or anything? 4) What was the cake like -- did you just pick the flavor, and colors? Was there enough cake for everyone? 5) How did the timeline of the day go - Our ceremony is at 5:00pm, so I am hoping the beach will be less busy - our dinner will be around 7 - we will have the dances and some drinks between the ceremony/dinner. 6) What did you do after the reception dinner? How long was your dinner - We will need somewhere to go after the dinner, and I'm not sure what to do/plan. Woah! I have more -- but this is enough for now! thanks so much girls! I'm happy that it's Sunday morning and I'm relaxing in bed with a tea and a book.

I completely agree. I feel it is really tacky to request money. I mean I would be offended if someone told me they would prefer I give them money. The point of a gift is to be thoughtful on the part of the giver, not to be told what to give. We were invited to a wedding once where the bride/groom put "cash is requested" ON THE INVITATIONS!!!! I thought it was so rude. I would not suggest that people give you money, but rather just mention that you don't need anything for your apartment (if they choose to give you money, great -- if not, you'll still probably end up with a thoughtful gift from them).

We will be staying together the night before - as of right now! We've lived together for 3 years, and I would be too excited to sleep alone that night! lol So we plan to stay together the night before, wake up and go for breakfast with everyone and then part ways!
