Were not doing a site visit. We vacationed at Sun palace last year and decided then that this is where we wanted to get married. You should definitely pose the question to during your site visit and hopefully they can offer you some discounts.

Now that I've read this I'm definitely going to consider an outside photographer. My budget is still low, so I'm hoping I can find someone to work within it.

We’re doing what Janelly100 is doing. We should have about 10 people, so we are getting married at noon, pictures and such till about 1:30pm or later, afternoon siesta, and then reserved dinner at one of the restaurant. I like the idea of small gifts at everyone’s plates, so I’m stealing that one! I love what you did Nicole! Sounds like tons of fun. I like August2010bride's plan also. It's nice to see everyones plan. We are trying to stay on a strict budget and utilize as much free items as the resort will give us.

I better tell my mom, she hasn't gotten her passport yet. Thanks for report!

Ronsoliman, You won the lottery? Hahaha Were neighbors I’m in Baltimore, MD. What part of Delaware are you in? I plan on starting my website in about 2 weeks. I want to get my save the dates sent out soon, but I’m still waiting on pricing. If it’s cost prohibitive me and FI will probably go somewhere in the states probably FL. We plan on sending postcard save the dates also. I don’t plan on sending formal invitations, but I want to mention the website to RSVP, etc.

I’m another one not really into strippers mainly because there aren’t any really good ones around here. Ha ha! I’m not having a bachelorette party, but I was thinking about having a slumber party one night at my house with my friends. When I’m in Mexico I was thinking about having the ladies get together for tea time at the resort the day before to just relax and chat.

All of you ladies make really good points. Our main decision behind a destination wedding is that neither one of us wanted a big wedding with lots of people, a reception, dancing, bridesmaid, groomsmen, etc. I never had a dream wedding in my head, but after going on several vacations in the Caribbean I felt like it was the way to go. When we told people our decision some people said they would come and others said they understand our decision and just want to see the beautiful pictures. FI and I truly expected it to just be us on our wedding day. No matter what the wedding industry tries to tell you, your wedding day is not about everyone else it is about you and FI. My Mom and Dad went to the courthouse in coordinating outfits and to this day they are happy with that decision and they are still married. My cousin is on her second marriage and wants to have a second expensive wedding. NOT ME! I’m blessed that no one in my family has called us selfish, maybe because they are just happy I’m actually getting married. I'm at old maid status. Ha Ha!

Linhy, I love your dress, so pretty. I’m with Mischaka on belonging to a bunch of sites. The one advice my sister told me about wedding plan was to buy one magazine and join one website.

I like them all, but I love the orange in Option D. It's different and unique and very spicy!

Welcome aboard! I'm also a budget bride. We chose Mexico because it was cheaper than anywhere we've been. We don't plan on a lot of frills, just a beautiful ceremony and a lovely vacation.

I'm trying to lose about 10lbs and get back to weight training to tone up. I already go to the gym 4 times a week, but my eating habits aren't good.

Tinkatude, I'm getting married at Sun palace. I was really curious about the photographs. Do you like the final product? Were you able to see the photographers work before you arrived? I was thinking about getting the Basic package because I wanted to make sure I got a lot of pictures on CD. I really don't want them to print out pictures for me because I plan on doing my own book and maybe framing one or two pictures. So did you get the photograph package A and than paid for another hour?

I’m glad I found this thread; I’ve missed a couple of episodes and wanted to catch up. I didn’t know Tamra and her hubby got divorced. I thought they were working things out. Lynne is useless when it comes to parenting. How are you going to let one daughter drink when she’s underage and then let the other daughter call you a b*tch? I have a love hate relationship with Vicki. I love her drive and the fact that she actually works unlike the other housewives, but sometimes she can be a little controlling. I really didn’t like her the past seasons because she treated her husband so bad. I wondered why he would stay, but now I realize that she’s the man in the relationship and he’s happy being the woman. I’m with debbmach, I miss Jeanna too.

Ali apparently didn't have permission from her employer to be on the bachelor, but she now has permission to be on the bachelorette. Sounds like she just wants to be on tv. Now we know why Jake is still single. He picks the most trashy, classless girls he can find, but if they are sexy they have a chance. I don't know who said before, but he is a MORON!

Me and FI are planning on having a legal ceremony in Mexico also. I agree with KimmyD, it is not going to be a big deal as long as your resort is handling it. FI does not want to get married here and than have symbolic in Mexico.
