Hey Normajeanne77 and Sunrize 79, I am getting married on the 10th at 3pm so we will all be there at the same time. Sounds like both of your weddings will be much larger than mine. Mine is just immediate family and at this point I have told Ana I would do it at the gazebo but I might change that once I am there. I wonder where she comes up with the times for the weddings? I noticed one of yours was at 4. She had told me there was already someone booked after mine so my only choices were 1am or 3pm. What photographers are you using and have you spoke with them? Congrats and maybe we will see each other there!

Of course, email isn't always the safest thing these days either but at least you don't have to worry about your paperwork getting lost in the middle of a stack of other paper. This is what I did for my deposit and I had a confirmation from her within about an hour with a receipt.

Thank you Carina for posting your review. You give me hope. My wedding is only a few weeks away and wasn't sure what to expect. I am glad to hear most of the planning is done in the few days prior. Your wedding, dress, and pictures were beautifull! Has anyone heard from Laura. I believe her wedding was a few weeks ago?

I'll let you know in a couple of weeks how it all worked out LOL Laura! I was planning on doing the same thing! Good Luck with your wedding. Can't wait to hear all about it when you return! Thanks to all of you ladies for the responses. I feel a little better now that I have heard that others also have not received a contract with everything written out. I guess thats just how things are done in Mexico!

Has anyone had Ana confirm all their choices for the wedding? My wedding is 7 weeks away and I can never seem to get a straight answer from her. I am a little worried since everything she has ever sent me has been so vague and over e-mail so I have not seen one document such as a contract to show what is going on for my wedding. Well.. I should say she sent me a contract that stated my date and time but pretty much everything else said TBD and when I asked her about a contract she said it was all good since it is all verbal through our e-mails. Has anyone else ran into this? Maybe I am being worrried for no reason but I wanted a little reasurance that they have us down for everything we have chose so far.

Does anyone know what comes with the basic free package as far a decorations for the wedding ceremony or do we need to supply that? In a e-mail I have a while ago from Ana it seems they do some kind of basic set up but have not been informed what they do. I am getting married at the gazebo with just a very small amount of close family and really don't need anything fancy but was wondering about maybe a flower arrangement or something or if there is a table there. Some of the set ups I have seen have shown a table with flowers but not sure if the brides supplied that. Anyone know?

Thanks for letting us know. I did not realize that. I am having Juan Navarro as my photographer but the pricing took a long time to get to me. He just quoted me a price and I am wondering about how that would compare to possible other packages out there. I did not get a whole list from him. Thanks for the heads up!

They will also hold your cake for you in the kitchen so that you can have it out at your dinner, as long as you pick the site ahead of time. -I also recieved a file with the free boquet options if anyone would like to see them. Hopefully this helps! Thats so much for your update. This is very helpfull! I know I posted this earlier but in case you were not aware...if you are having a small amount of people (18 or less) you can reserve the wine cellar and have a private dinner with your guests there instead of fighting for tables near each other in one of the restaurants. I was told all we would need to pay for is $80/adult couple in wine. So if you like wine and think you would drink that much its a pretty good deal.

Just a thought. Thanks Boo! I cannot wait for it to come in and getting nervous since I had to put a rush on it. I guess I want everything done yesterday. LOL

Thanks everyone on the advice for the real touch flowers on the beach. I will touch base with Ana and see what she says. So far its just my bouquet so I agree that I believe its probably ok as long as I am not leaving anything behind. Can't wait to see more pictures of peoples weddings. I just recieved some from Ana that I saw someone posted already from this past Wednesday's wedding. That reassured me a little. I was worried about an bunch of random people being in my photos but she assured me they block off the area so that we wouldn't have others in the pictures.

Has anyone heard anything about fake flowers being illegal on the beach? I have an order in for real touch flowers and was planning on having my pictures on the beach but just read something somewhere that mentions only real flowers are allowed on the beaches in Mexico due to the fake ones not being eco friendly. Anyone know anything about this? My wedding is in the beginning of April... this sucks not knowing.. My dress... We are leaving the day after our wedding and spending a week up in Cancun at the Sun palace. It is a adult only resort. So we will be at DRC for 5 nights and at the Sun Palace for 5 nights. We figured we wanted a little change of atmosphere after spending some time down in the RM. Also, some of our guests will be around the second week and its our chance to get away with some time on our own.

Does anyone have any information/advice? Thanks for your help! If you have less than 18 people you could reserve the wine cellar which is what we are doing. No cost for the dinner but you have to pay for wine and it estimated out at around $80/couple. I am having 10 adults so I was told I would need to purchase $400 in wine. I could probably drink this myself (LOL) so I figure this is cool for us. However, my first choice would have been the pool deck at night. For me since I only have 12 total guests (2 kids along with the 10 adults) it was a bit too pricey due to the set up. When you have more people it is far more economical... I would look into this... Just e-mail Ana once you know how many people and she can give you a quote.

There has been a lot of talks about flowers and options for flowers. I agree that it seems that the resort florist seems to do a great job so it is probably more hastle then what it worth to bring your own or have an outside vendor to do it. But one other option to let everyone know about is fresh real natural touch artificial silk wedding bouquet flowers. These are fake flowers yet look real. Before I realized how good the resort florist is I ordered my bouquet from this for about $65 and can't wait to see it. I tried to attach a picture of mine but can't figure out how. She has a gallery on the site to look at her work. I am doing long stem burnt orange orchids.

I think the private dinner reception (i.e. on the pool deck) is like $55 per person, or if you have one of the two higher packages the dinner is around $45 per person over the 20 people that are included in the package, no? For those of you considering the pool deck for your reception or anything else, I have a feeling it all depends on the amount of people. Below I copied and pasted Ana's e-mail to me. I think since I have the minimum as far as people to reserve this, that is why it is $100 per person. She mentions it is due to the set up costs. So those of you that have more people it seems to be a more reasonable cost than what I was quoted. I would have loved to have done it outside and definitly would have if we were having more people. I can't wait to see everyones pictures from what everyone decides to do. Dear Amber, Thank you for your kind e-mail!! Regarding your questions: 1.- The wine cellar is a private room for a maximum of 18 people, since you have 10 guests I todl you that the minimum in wines is $ 400 USD; however in order to have an outdoor private dinner a different charge will apply because we need to set up everything the cost is $ 100 USD per person (mininum of 10 people). I am attaching the wine list. Best Regards Ana MarÃa Cruz

Anyhow, I feel bad for posting incorrect info on this site, but I totally misunderstood how the wine cellar worked. I could have sworn that I read/heard the above info somewhere. Instead it was supposed to be $80 per couple! Basically you have to buy enough wine to equal $80/couple. She said that it would be $60/ couple for us because we were having 18 people. I don't know where the cut off is. I tried to negotiate, but there was no budging. I've still asked her to hold the location for our rehearsal dinner because I thought it was much more private than the other options and $30/person in the states would be normal...even low, if you are including wine. So I think we are still going to do it. I don't think I have to put a deposit down so I can always change my mind. But it is a nice classy touch. Last night I received a e-mail from Ana stating the same thing. We will have 10 adults and 2 children so we were quoted $400 for wine purchased to have this room so we are booking it for our dinner on the night of our wedding. I also inquired about the pool deck and she had quoted us $100 per person for this which I thought was a little steep but would have been a nice option. Anyone else quoted $100/person for the pool deck?

I only have 12 people total so this may be perfect for our night of the wedding. Does anyone know if there is any additional costs to use this room besides the $80 in wine. I know we would have no problem downing at least $80 worth of wine. LOL Is there a dinner cost? Thanks again!
