I'm so glad we didn't spend all the extra money for a honeymoon suite. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and resort from our bed! I also had a great view of the gazebo from our balcony, so I got to see my groom and the guests waiting for me!

I noticed you are getting married on the same day as me.. Do you mind if I ask what time your ceremony and reception are? I'm curious, because I booked our wedding back in October for 5:30 at gazebo. Our dinner/reception are on the pool deck from 6:30 to 9:30 and we are having live music and firedancers on the beach... I really hope Ana did not book 2 weddings at the same time of day and 2 receptions in the same place.. You and I will be raising some hell with Ana if that is the case.. Please tell me it isn't?

By the way, has ANNNNYYone heard back from Ana on the size or measurements of the round and cocktail tables?? She told me a couple of weeks ago that they are "1.68 cm in diameter" that is not even an inch?? I'm so frustrated because we leave in less than a month, and I have yet to get out of anyone there what size linens I need...

I would have to pay extra to get things off of the gold menu. Is that correct? As for the flowers which one of the documents that you sent is included in the love package? Can I choose between any of the bouquets and centerpieces of the pictures you sent me or do only certain ones come with the love package? (She sent me a couple of attachments but did not say which bouquets went with the love package.) Also do you have any of the pictures of the wedding cakes that are included in the love package? Also last question. If I have under 40 people am I able to have the buffet option for reception if so can I get a menu of the options for the buffet? I know those are a lot of questions girls but if you just have one could you let me know. The wedding is getting closer and I am getting a little stressed because I have not picked anything out for the wedding. I can help with one question.. You can do a buffet with less than 40 people.. we have 25 and are having buffet

I just came up with an idea for my response cards, finally! I didn't want to do the traditional response cards. Do you girls think this is cheesy? Mine will say: We look forward to celebrating with you Please respond by March 12, 2010 ___ We'll be there in our beach chic! ___ We can't wait to see the photos!

I'm just thinking that everyone might be buffett'ed out from being at the resort all week. Good point, I hadn't even thought about people maybe being tired of the buffet..I may need to rethink my initial preference for the Carribean buffet...BOUQUET_INC[1].pdf BOUQUET_GOLD[1].pdf

I also emailed Ana about fire dancers, and have not heard back about it. I'm really hoping they have a vendor for this! What a great treat for guests!

Thanks for posting the slideshow. There are some nice photos! Has anyone noticed that Juan Navarro doesn't have a website, and I can't find anything on the web about him. That is one reason I'm hesitant about booking him. It seems everyone else has websites with lots of blogs to view.. Have any of you been able to find more info about him?

I have been stressed out trying to decide on reception music also..I have concluded that a DJ is out..Its not worth the cost if you have only 20 guests..and now that I hear there is a 3 hr minimum, NO way! Does anyone know anything about the Carribean trio that is included in the Ultimate package? How do we get a sample of their music, or can we?? It seems like when you pay for a wedding package, the resort should send a packet with all the info you need..I'm so frustrated having to email every question to Ana and responses being incomplete and 3, 4 sometimes 5 days later...

But it seems as if she doesn't really answer my questions. I don't know if it's the English and Spanish writing difference? I'm worried about music and walking down the aisle, how to get that set up. I don't think we can afford a DJ with everything else, we are going with the Ultimate package. I'm also not sure about where to have the reception dinner. I heard that they can put a cover over the jacuzzi deck? Is this true, and does anyone have any pictures of this? We have maybe 20 people coming, will this be big enough, or would it be too small? Sorry for all of the questions, and thank you in advance for all of your help! I guess this is what they call the stress of wedding planning! I know it can be frustrating waiting on Ana's replies..she gets better the closer you get to your wedding date I think. She seems to be a very busy person! However, I have heard nothing but good things about Dreams weddings, if that offers any reassurance to you. I can tell you what I do know so far, and I'm sure others have information I may not have yet 1. As for music for your ceremony, I believe you have to rent the sound system to play your music if you want to bring ipod 2. You can have your reception dinner on the beach, the pool terrace, or indoor location if you choose. I think the jacuzzi deck is offered for the cocktail hour, not the dinner Do you have a travel agent working on your trip? She may be able to help you get answers from Ana more quickly. There is SO MUCH info on this site that will help your planning! Good luck! Sarah

Ana said that she usually would suggest a 6pm wedding. I'm just wondering if that leaves enough time. What is everyone's opinion on this? I just want to make sure that we leave enough time for photos. I wish I could tell you, but I am struggling with the same decision...ours is also at 5:30. I don't think I'm going to make it any later though, because I want to have good lighting for the ceremony photos..

that would be great if you don't mind emailing it to me at [email protected] thanks! she does great work from the photos i saw!

thanks! Do you happen to have a pricing list from Claudia Rodriguez? I love the chocolate idea for the oot bags...I have been to that store in Playa del Carmen-great chocolate!! The one thing to think about though is that it is VERY hot in Mexico, even in the evening. If your reception is outside, the chocolate wouldn't last long at all.

Thank you for your help! I have to say that I have looked at the Juan Navarro photos, and he just isn't my style. I am going to look into other photographers. Elizabeth Medina is amazing, but I wonder what her pricing is like. I am going to request her if possible.
