    Hey Ladies - I'm 99% sure our song is going to be Lucky by Jason Mraz... which seems to be popular in this thread! I wanted to do "so happy together" but its a little too fast for a first dance and since neither of us have any dancing experience, I think the slower one is a better option

    Kellie- The quote I got was coming from the Paradisus Calculator excel document, I'm seeing $900 plus $90 in taxes for a 6 piece band for 45 minutes... this seems outrageous?

    I have been having a problem finding a mariachi band... they are SOOO expensive. The one that makes the most sense is to go with the one from the resort.. if anyone finds anything different please let us know!

    Attachment 4736 Hey ladies - I saw on another thread a few girls split an order for these color changing cups to have at the bar during the reception – ordered from VendoDirect. The minimum order is 250 so a few of us could split it. I was thinking to just have Paradisus, Riviera Maya with a palm tree on it? Hope you can see the attachment and here is the website.     Thanks Jewels! My TA is looking into getting our rates reduced..This will make a huge difference for guest since the airfare is a little pricey! 4 months - wow so exciting!!

    All resorts have "negative" reviews on trip advisors... you can never make everyone happy. I was even happier with the resort when I went and checked it out "prettypig"... good luck finding a resort that someone didnt post a negative review on trip advisor.

    We are doing Swank - we met with him when we were there and really liked him! It ends up being cheaper than bringing an outside vendor and getting hit with the $300 fee. I think the DJ is totally worth it!

    Ashlynn - join the facebook groups.. it answered a ton of questions in the FAQ's! This is the nicest ive seen so far... the sandals seem to be overpriced and outdated!

    Hockeymom - we are thinking of going to Jamaica for our honeymoon.. are you guys staying at that resort or going someplace else? We are thinking of booking at Secrets, Montego Bay that will be opening at the end of this month, it looks awesome!

    I'm getting frustrated because the flights are much higher than they usually are!! Hope they go down soon.... Also, there was a huge salethey had paradisus rooms starting at $99.00 per person a night..Hoping my TA can match the price

    Hi everyone - when we did our site visit.. Cecilia told us they do upgrade the bride and grooms parents to Royal Service - has anyone else heard this? Just wanted to ask, my mom is booking their travel today. Hope all the planning is going well

    Angie we were staying in Cancun for my fiances work trip - so we just went over there for the day... if they do comp.. maybe we will go back to finalize everything

    Thanks everyone! I brought in a few pictures of dresses that looked nothing like this, then when she brought it out and I tried it on.. I knew it was the one Coley - did you visit the paradisus is Punta Cana?? We visited the one in Riviera Maya last month.. really liked it

    House of Brides... well it was ok... I guess its the same at all the bridal places though from what ive heard... noone is overly friendly and they try to rip you off as much as you can. Just remember that you can negotiate the price. Mine went down over 100 dollars and I thought the dress was going to be ALOT more than it was. They do have a great selection though!

    Just put the deposit down on my dress yesterday! Ended up getting an Allure one at House of Brides. Seems like downtown area would work the best for everyone... let me know when and where!

    Angie have you been to the Paradisus before? The spa itself was ok - they had individual rooms for massages which was nice... but I dont know how great the mani/pedi would be from there. I thought it was the remainder when you got there... especially since things will probably change when you get there and have the final meeting.
