  1. Hey Everyone - I saw in previous post that you could bring your own bows for the chairs adn they will put them on for you! I found a few websites that have them starting off at 99 cents per bow vs. the $4.00 Paradisus charges you.. FYI
  2. Hey JRB - have you decided on a resort? We went and checked out ours last week, Riviera Maya is beautiful and completely different from Cancun, we loved it!
  3. Mine too Kellie! I am thinking people are going to start confirming/booking in the next few months.
  4. Anyone else registered at Macys?? This sounds fun! Macy's Sip and Scan Registry Events - Macy's Bridal Registry Events - Macy's Wedding Registry Events
  5. If you ladies are going through destinationweddings.com - there is someone higher up that Cecilia and Daniela that our assigned TA deals with. Make sure to ask about or have your agent email her...
  6. http://www.sproulliedesigns.com/ I used Sarah to create my monogram, I highly recommend her
  7. Angie love your website, its so professional need to get moving on ours now haha
  8. Congrats Claire!! I know the feeling when its finally booked, such a relief! Have a great weekend
  9. Oh okay - yeah we took a cab from our Hotel in Cancun to the paradisus... it was $35.00 for the two of us and took about a 1/2 an hour.... the clubs and the downtown area will probably be around 40 minutes from the Paradisus.
  10. So anyone that already got married at the resort - what did you do at night? The "disco" was the only thing I was a little disappointed about... is there a night life close by in Playa del Carmen? Thanks!
  11. We were in Cancun this past weekend and teh beach is amazing!! I hope they do it in Riviera Maya as well
  12. I would not recommend Curacao... we were there for a day on a cruise that was more than enough... they are still really building up the Island and there is not much to do at all. I would recommend the Virgin Islands anytime over Curacao
  13. Kellie just like he told me.. its our day! We can tell him whatever we want to hear!! If he doesnt have the song, he will find it! I havent seen his excel sheet yet, I was just do the "Control F" to find the songs you are looking for. Dont let that 6000+ songs scare you!! Just make sure you have the ones that must be played at the top of your list
  14. Oh!! I forgot to mention.. I met one of the guys from Swank (Luis)! He was very, very nice and helpful.. made us a lot more comfortable meeting him!
  15. Kellie - for sure there are four embassador suites at this location, she said they around around 600-800 per night though and we need to talk to your TA's about getting upgraded to that... we picked to have the ceremony on the beach and the reception and the outdoor semi-covered area.
  16. Exactly what I was thinking Avong! Just doing rehearsal dinner (you can not have it in a restaurant if its over 30 people). Anyone going to get the embassador suite to stay in for the wedding?
  17. Hi Everyone - I'm back from checking out the resort and meeting Cecilia and Daniela along with Swank (the DJ). We loved it and it was nicer than we even expected! We talked for them for about an hour and a half and they showed us everything, we picked the spot where we want the reception and ceremony. Makes me even more excited for November now! I havent gone back and read all the post... but I saw something about 3 weddings on one day?!?!? Insane... there is no way that could happen.
  18. Hope you ladies have a great weekend! We leave tomorrow morning for Cancun... ill give you updates when I get back, we are meeting with Cecilia on Monday.
  19. Kellie - Maybe we could use that Kim and Khloe Kardashian use?!?! They swear upon that product!! lol
  20. Avong - they do not have to be your travel agent.. they just go back and forth with the resort to help you get a deal and talk to their contacts there. You do have to book your room through them though at the resort... everything else you can do on your own!
  21. Yes no complaints whatsoever through destinationweddings.com - she gets response really fast from the resort... if anyone wants her info.. let me know Questions - is anyones maid of honor married? I know in a traditional wedding they are suppose to be matron of honor, but how about for a destination wedding.... ?? Do you still call them matron of honor??
  22. CMJ - just do a lot of research between the two boards for the resorts. It really helped me by looking at peoples actual wedding pictures! Good luck
  23. Lisa - they do look very similar! Just make sure to look at pics from weddings there and hopefully that will help you decide... that is the hardest part (making the decision)
