  1. My pictures are in -- thanks again for hosting, Chelsea!!! Oh, and I also bought some of that organic apple cider vinegar today -- haven't opened it yet, but will do so tomorrow... Â Good luck everyone!
  2. I agree, the Book of Negroes was fantastic and inspiring. I also got a Kobo reader -- it's great for the gym! Â
  3. I'm reading "The Birth House"... it's about a midwife in Nova Scotia. So far very good!
  4. I have never tried ACV... I'm also intrigued. Maybe I'll give it a try for week 2!
  5. My cousin gave out personalized towels and they were a big hit! People are still using them over a year later. I'm not sure if she ordered them from cotton fruit, but they were really nice.
  6. Congrats Marisa!! I bet that feels amazing!
  7. Hey ladies! If you are interested, check out the BL season 10 thread. We are starting next week! You can join to compete, or just for fun and motivation. Â http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/63323/bdw-biggest-loser-season-10
  8. Awesome, please count me in! And thanks for offering to host. Also, I must say that it is GREAT to have a separate e-mail account for BL messages, otherwise it is hard to keep track. Â I am excited
  9. Ok, I am back from vacation and I was a bad girl.... BBQ, beer, lobster... I need to get back on track. Only 5 and a half months to go until my wedding!! Are people still interested in having a season 10?
  10. I'm so excited -- I booked my Lasik surgery for September 16th! I can't wait Carly -- are you still healing well?
  11. I have heard that there is only one judge also. Have you considered a symbolic ceremony, maybe?
  12. Sure, I'm interested! But I won't be back from vacation until August 17. I'll check back again when I get home
  13. Hello ladies! I hope everyone is doing well. I had a great week, but I'm going on vacation soon and it's soooooooo hard to stay on track. I'll be at a cottage with bbq, beer, lobster.. it will be tough. I hope to just maintain my loss so far while on vacation and not gain too much! Hopefully we can get some long walks in or something.
  14. How exciting! I guess I can live without BDW for one day... thanks for the updates!

As for the food...the most important part...how about I'll take care of the main course. I was thinking kabobs. Does anyone have special food allergies? I'll probably do chicken and steak. Let's have everyone sign up below for something they would like to bring: Appetizers Salad Main Kabobs - Sarah Dessert Earlier in the week would work for me, but it sounds like you are all available on the 5th. Ah well, I may have to miss this one. Take lots of pictures! Me and FI are packing up the car and driving to PEI that afternoon. I'm off work on the 5th and FI is leaving work around lunchtime and then we'll be off on our little road trip! I'll let you know if our plans change. Sorry to miss it -- have a great time ladies!
  16. Virgil & Beatrice -- I found that so utterly depressing. Great writing, but heavy material. Not a beach book! Quote: Originally Posted by ~Nicole~ I read water for elephants. I'd be interested to see the movie for sure.

I'm not judging them, I just know I would be miserable and uncomfortable to be that size, so that motivates me to keep in top shape. OMG, extreme morning person indeed! I can barely get out of bed for work. Good for you!
  18. We sent our save the date e-mail out 1 year in advance, and we just sent our formal invitations out this week (about 6 months in advance). Deposits with the TA are due October 1. If they choose not to book with our TA, the FINAL RSVP is December 1.

It's kind of a trashy book, but great for the summer and working out at the gym. After that, I'm looking forward to reading "the Birth House".
  20. Congrats and welcome! And yes, definitely join us over on the Dominican boards

After leaving it with my mom for two months I got it back and tried it on again and realized how much I hated it. I ended up shopping at the last minute for a dress and ended up with an Alfred Angelo that I loved much better...and the complete opposite of what I thought I wanted. For my body type I really needed to try on the dress to make sure it complimented me. Here's mine: Also very beautiful! And I agree -- it's so hard to know what will look good on you. I went with something completely different than I had in mind. Congrats!
