Varadero is still pretty cool in February, but I've been to Holguin, Cuba, in February and it was really nice (Holguin is more south). We decided on the DR though because I've never been there. Good luck planning and welcome to the forum!

I think the rates went up... I was quoted $900 USD for 2011.

Does anyone know if we still have to pay the $50 to get them the day pass for the resort? Or do they usually let them bypass this cost?

I'm with you girls! I want to lose 30-35 lbs before my February 2011 wedding. But, like many of you, don't want to see a dress shop before losing a good chunk of that.

This is crazy... I've just e-mailed them as well since I booked last week. Does that count, I wonder?

I believe that the party in the Presidential Suite has to shut down by 11PM, but you still have the room for 24 hours. But I think the party has to shut down in all of the bars by 11PM due to the noise. Perhaps someone can confirm?
