  1. Sorry for the delay this week, I'll have the results up tomorrow! I had a lovely weekend filled with delicious food... chocolate, strawberries, and red wine... but I was back on track today and hopefully I'll make up for it by the end of the week.
  2. WEIGH-IN DAY!!! Yes, today is indeed weigh-in day! I know, it comes so quickly... Just a heads up that I will be away this weekend and probably won't post the results until Sunday evening. Happy Friday everyone!
  3. Cindy and Natasha -- you guys are awesome! Perhaps I can cheer you on from the sidelines, hehe. I've never tried to run really... maybe one of these days. I hope everyone is having a good week! I know I am going to be a little bad this weekend... I booked a little romantic getaway for me and FI at Niagara on the Lake (complete with winery tours & the theatre festival here in Ontario). It's been a crazy work week so I'm really looking forward to the break.

I can't believe a year has come and gone. Time flies! Congrats and good luck planning, your day will be here before you know it. As for times, we are doing ours at 4pm. We are having a symbolic ceremony with Pastor York and doing a first look moment and pictures before with Phil Steingard. I can't wait to meet both of them! We also booked Diego from Brightlights for our video. Yay, that is so exciting!! Please do give us all the details when you get back. Have a fabulous time!
  6. My ceremony is at 3PM -- I didn't even realize that they had specific times. So we finally decided for sure to book the Presidential Suite! I sent the deposit in today for it... I'm so excited!!

  8. Ugggggh... I had a bad day today. I stayed up late lastnight preparing for this meeting, and then I was at this conference all day with the coffee and the cookies and the muffins.... I just didn't have the energy to fight it all. At least the meeting ends early tomorrow, so I can get out of there before it's too late!

Hey LilRebel, I just got a message from Phil last week -- he's been in Punta Cana for a while, flew back for this weekend, and I believe went back to the Majestic today. He also had a death in his family recently, so all of these things may have delayed him getting back to you. I've found he responds most quickly on facebook. You can find him through the Majestic Brides group: Welcome to Facebook | Facebook Hope this helps. Good luck!
  10. I don't think 1 year is too early for save the dates. Ideally, you want to give your guests a good amount of time to save up! A few of our friends may have already planned their winter vacations if we didn't give them lots of lead time. And wow, the time does fly...
  11. Looks great, Sarah! Although, I must say you look almost as good with no make-up, you lucky girl. I haven't tried MAC make-up much at all, but I'm a huge fan of the Smashbox primer. Thanks for the tips, especially the colour selections!

I pretty much lost it and said "OR you could have picked up something healthy for me to eat on your day off when you went grocery shopping for non-healthy food and played video games all day! That would have been nice!" We talked it out and made up, but man was I upset! Ah LeAnne, that is really frustrating! Glad you made up, but I know how tough it can be sometimes to find the time and energy to get groceries, make healthy dinners, and think of FI as well. I would love for FI to make dinner sometimes, but his idea of dinner would be like hot dogs and pita bread with ketchup (ewww), so I end up doing most of the cooking. My guy is awesome, but he doesn't really think ahead about healthy dinners or getting groceries. Anyways, I hope you finished all of your marking and found something decent to eat!

If you are running late, you can still send me your picture anyways. If I haven't posted yet, then maybe I can still get you in for the week. And if not, then at least I can record you for the following week.
  17. Quick question about the OOT bags -- are you giving one to every guest, or one per couple?

Now seeing how far along everybody's plans are I know I better light a fire under my butt! I'm wondering if everything will be booked up and I'm leaving this too late, any suggestions!? There was actually a poll on this, and Saturday was the most popular day: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...married-46453/ I'm getting married on a Thursday though, because most of my guests will be travelling from Sunday - Sunday, so any day of the week would have worked. If you do choose your resort, why not see what days they have available and go from there?

TFIF!!!!! lol Congrats Jenny, that's awesome!
  20. WEIGH-IN DAY!!! Good morning ladies, it's Friday and you know what that means.... please get your pictures to me today, or tomorrow morning by 12:00 PM EST. I thought I had a decent week, but work has been super busy and I didn't get to the gym/yoga as much as I had wanted. Looks like I stayed about the same this week. I hope everyone else had a good (or at least decent) week!
  21. Glad to hear you are doing alright, Heather. How is everyone else doing? I had a pretty good week. Mostly ate low carb -- only one lunch that I couldn't resist sushi. But as far as cheating goes, I wouldn't say that was too bad. Hope everyone else is doing well. Weigh-in day tomorrow!!!
  22. Hello Maggie brides, I just tried on the Alexandria and loooooved it! I think I may have found THE ONE! Alexandria - by Maggie Sottero It's funny that what I thought would look good did not look great on me at all... all those flowy chiffon destination gowns just did nothing for my shape. Love the Alexandria!
  23. Hi ladies! I just went dress shopping today and I think I found THE ONE! I am so excited, everything is starting to feel so real.... Jessicad -- sorry, I don't know much about that resort, but hopefully you can find more info here in the DR section. jhartford19 -- the coordinator at the Majestic told me that the judge books one year in advance (February 2010 for February 2011). She also told me that the judge may change the date/time even after booking... we decided to go with the symbolic ceremony in the end because it just made things so much easier. And hey YIweddings! Don't lose hope... I hope your next experience is better. And it's funny with dress shopping -- what I thought I wanted was not what really looked good on me. But I just tried everything on that the salesperson suggested and I fell in love! Please let us know how your next trip goes
