It's ok... they also have this amazing California summer salad that I love! That should keep me on track with my biggest loser comrades, lol.

Majestic Colonial or Elegance Brides Post Here

I suppose they are smack dab in the middle of their busiest wedding season. Sandra has been pretty good with getting back to me, but sometimes it does take 4-7 days. -

So I have survived the long weekend with only 3 sips of beer and 2 small glasses of red wine! I am proud of myself

My friends and I have already pre-ordered tickets to go on Friday the 28th -- I can't wait!

Hey Cindy -- yeah, I think we will still be there. We usually don't meet until 7:30, so I'm sure we'll be there til at least 10:30 or 11:00. Or at least I can wait for you! That's great that you are playing soccer -- you are quite the busy girl this summer! I would have added some other days but I'm so swamped, and then I'm going out of town for work on June 12th. Glad you can do the 11th, Sarah! I would love to see you before your wedding.

Hey there Toronto brides! A few of us have been talking about getting together again in early June -- so who is up for another get together? I was hoping Lindsay or Sarah would take the initiative to set something up again, but I assume both are very busy, so here is my attempt to pull something together. Unfortunately I only have two dates available, so hopefully we can make something work! Please let me know if you are available and interested to get together: -- Friday, June 4th -- Friday, June 11th I was thinking Yorkdale was pretty convenient for many people last time by subway or car -- how about Milestones this time? Any other suggestions? All new brides, happily married ladies, and other BDW'ers are welcome! Let me know!

Good luck Natasha! Sheri -- if you still want to send me your stuff, please do. That way I can calculate your loss more accurately for next week.

Lindsay -- I think she's full of sh!t to be honest. The prices are the same on itravel2000.com and Ashley is saying that prices are coming DOWN! Anyways, I'm going to wait until the bride's bash to see what deals there might be...

So no workouts for me. Ok, my pity party is over! Now I have to report on the immense stress that I’m under right now. FI was casually looking for jobs, as his firm started doing layoffs. He’s in a very specialized area, so jobs have been scarce. We find out last week that he has an interview in LA this past Wednesday. We were on the fence about it, as we wanted to go home to Denver. But he went anyway. He’s not sure how it went, but they said they would want him to start RIGHT away. LA is about 350 miles south of us. THEN we hear that his current firm may have lost one of their biggest clients- which means current job could go belly up soon…..so now we WANT the LA job. I don’t know how it would work though. He would have to move down first alone, find a place alone- I would have to give my two weeks notice, pack the apartment, have him come up to help move 2 weeks later……………all a month in a half before the wedding!? And if he doesn’t get it………… we’re pretty much screwed if he gets laid off. I think I just gained a lb thinking about it………………Sorry for the book!!! I just feel like I’m going to scream.. Thanks for listening ladies Hey Jannae, Wow, you have a lot on your plate! It sounds like things are extremely stressful for you right now, but I hope everything works out for both of you in the end. Who knows, maybe this opportunity is a blessing in disguise. I imagine the timing could have been better, but try to take a deep breath and deal with one thing at a time. It will all work out! Hugs!

I'm sure the flight won't be a problem if we wait a bit, it's flying direct from my small city but I'm worried about waiting to book the resort. What prices do you have? Hey YIweddings, I'm not sure what a decent price would be from Thunder Bay... I would expect it might be a little more than Toronto. We are aiming for $1500 - $1550 from Toronto. My travel agent has put in another request for a quote and she said that she's confident she can get something close to my goal for next week. I hope she's right... fingers crossed! It's such a stressful thing to decide when to lock in a rate... I hope we can book by early June.

WEIGH-IN DAY!! Please send me your pictures by 12:00 noon tomorrow! I should be more on time this week...

So how is everyone doing? I had an AWESOME week for eating, but not so great for exercise. It was an insane week at work and i got home late almost every day. But I'm going to head to the gym right after posting this... How's everyone else doing? We have a long weekend this weekend here in Canada, so us Canucks will have to try to be good! Don't forget tomorrow is weigh-in day...

Any suggestions or experiences with how this works would be greatly appreciated. Thanks brides! I didn't need to put a deposit down to secure my date, and from everyone I talked to, that is very normal. I just had to put a deposit down to reserve the Presidential Suite, which is an extra cost. Sandra sent me an e-mail saying that she needs the final numbers 30 days before our arrival. -
So one travel agent told me today that prices are actually going UP and that we need to come up with a plan... WTF? And the other travel agent told me that prices are looking good and that she should have something close to my goal to quote me for next week (I'm aiming for $1500 - $1550 taxes in from Toronto). Easy decision for me if that quote comes through next week...

Hey ladies! How's everyone doing? I just talked to my travel agent and she just got back from the majestic colonial and she said it was AMAZING!! Everything was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and the rooms were beautiful. She even said that the resort was operating at 103% capacity but it didn't feel crowded... there were no line ups at the buffet and no fighting for lounge chairs. I feel pretty good about my choice... I would have looked into the Elegance as well, but I have heard it is not very kid friendly and I have a few people with children. Good luck!

I'm excited and freaking out at the same time! My goal is to really push myself this week and lose another 5 pounds before we leave. I think I can do it... But on top of it all comes the stress of organizing everythign and getting ourselves ready too. Wish me luck ladies!! Yay, how exciting!!!!! In the end, you will look beautiful either way. I hope your dress still fits!

I'm eating plenty of good food, so it's kind of an eye-opener! I've falling off the workout wagon, but at least I'm eating well. Hopefully I can start some good sweats going soon! Wow -- you are more disciplined than I! I am on day 2 of a low carb diet... I'm trying to be really strict this time because I haven't been doing all that great. I don't think I could lose the caffeine though -- it's my beloved drug of choice. Good luck and let us know how you do!
