i included my fiance's cousin as a bm whom i had known for 10 years when me and my FI got engaged. She wound up moving out of state to be with a bad boyfriend and disregarded the commitment that she made to us. She eventually dropped out of my wedding and the trip all together via text message. Yes, text message starting with "i regret to inform you..." ( i wouldn't believe this myself had this not really happened!) In short, we no longer speak. Its difficult cause she is a part of my FI's family. I have to say that while i didn't predict this I have to be glad that I found out about it prior to the wedding and with enough notice that it won't effect my day. (or that i wouldn't have to spend the energy photoshopping her out of my pics!! LOL ) I agree w lalanyc as to who you envision with you on that day. The bad eggs will rot themselves out!! good luck to you!

my pastor just offered to do the same regarding the "fake" certificate and im releaved! i thought i would have to ask the pastor to be discreet! LOL the legal ceremony in NY worked out in that our witness (one of our groomsmen) got into the police academy and is unable to leave the country so now he can be part of the legal ceremony here but we are still keeping it a secret otherwise. Â

  i truly love your shorter dress! i am looking for one now and want to aim for something fun and fashionable! looks great!!! hang in there regarding the guest situation as well. i had 2 people in my FI family drop out of our wedding party--one via text! i know your pain.

how are you setting up your music? wedding planner suggested we bring an ipod and name all the play lists according to what they are ex: father daughter dance, first dance, party music etc.

i searched and found this thread cause im dealing w a lot of the same issues you ladies described. We trulu didn't anticipate having over 40 guests and are now up to 105! At one point we were at 120 and then had some people cancel which was aggravating cause i was stressing trying to accommodate them in the first place! Everyone's travel plans and offering them group rates weren't good enough for some and then the airlines canceled all direct flights to Punta Cana! Don't get me wrong we're so grateful to have everyone show their love and come but its been very overwhelming! I feel better just venting! thank you ladies, its nice to know there are others going thru it too!!!

for you ladies who are having a large number of guests-what items did you include? i need 71 bags and am struggling to make the bags look filled and stay with in a budget

i got so much free stuff from vista print too!! it really allowed me to personalize things for my guests!!!

i ordered my bags from there as well! i think they are great! i will post pics of everything once its done. still looking for last minute items!!

thanks Pandabride6! i love the idea of doing the bday cupcakes at the wedding reception, & making a small toast or even a song? All of my guests are arriving different days (up until the day before the wedding) so im not sure if a welcome dinner will work out for us....that proposes another question then, how do you go about that?

I agree, think the dress is beautiful and accents your curves but im not crazy either about the one shoulder strap. (but saw your comments about changing the top to sweetheart. I agree that would be a great look as im busty and have the same problem.

I saw another brides invites and she suggested cocktail attire? that is what i plan to use on my invites also. i'd be uncomfortable in a dress and someone was in board shorts and flip flops. okay maybe just jealous! LOL
