  1. Ashlynn039 welcome! We are actually heading down to DRC on November 14th, so will snoop to see your wedding (from afar) on the 15th - Congrads!
  2. yeah same problem here, I love this set, I have been looking at over the last couple of months, I dont like most of the glass closure or cork that I have seen - I want the 'plain' cylinder as well or I saw some nice tear shaped, not into the heart shaped though, there are lots of those with closures...any of you girls came across a cylinder like the one Blakley got but with a stopper of some sort? would love to know where!
  3. hmmm yeah I only thought of doing the signature drink during our reception at DRC, I believe there is an extra charge for it at Secrets Marom during cocktail hour, although that would be nice because during our cocktail hour its only going to be white linen with bows. The blue overlays will only be used for dinner reception set up at DRC. With blue I think this is kinda cool signature drink.doc
  4. Chelsey, for us our ceremony is at 2 pm, and I wanted a couple of hours as well, we are springing for cocktail hour from 2:30-4 pm but yes it is kinda crazy to pay for alchohol at all inclusive, but its done, and then I wanted the dinner set up at 5:30 for pictures closer to and then dinner to be served at 6, so that way we have 3 hours (accounting for 30 min. of pictures of group/cocktail hour) before dinner plus I figure the two of us will want just a quite moment to take it all in and not feel rushed and I am crazy about pictures, not sure that other ladies have spaced things out quite as much
  5. Oh what a great thread, I am set on doing a sand ceremony and was actually just getting some sites together for ideas where to get the kit and where to get the sand - any suggestions greatly appreciated On of the ladies on here I 'snooped' thru her pictures (this site is fantastic) and they place the sand from the location of the ceremony first, just a little on the bottom, and then their two colours, I thought that was great cause then you also always have the sand from your location with you... just a thought
  6. ebernard our ceremony is at Secrets Maroma, and they recommended a vedor called planner1events, here is the contact info and you can also check out their site: "Gabi Lavor" <[email protected]> so far Gabi has been super responsive, and they quoted me USD 6 per chair, they only have white or gold, that was fine for me as I wanted white anyway, and white and ivory cushions (included in the price) we went with white chair, white cushion. Hope that helps
  7. Thanks I guess I will keep on trying - I have switched to thicker plain paper, its not doing it as much, funny thing though I have a picture above, just some silly flags and such, with lime green, pink, orange colours, we choose the 'same' green colour for our text. The flags are printing the same way we see it on the computer but the text is much darker...weird. Happy planning!
  8. Yeah signature drink would be great.. I have given it some though as well but could not come up with anything yet, our colours our turquoise/blue and coral/pink. Our linens will have the blue overlay so not sure that a blue drink would have that pop of colour, but I don’t see all the guys drinking a pink drink... I considered just going for a bright yellow or green to make it stand out. Like in a martini glass most likely. I have also seen tequila tasting set up with a blue martini glass with lemon wedges in it, looks super pretty - if you don’t know what I mean I will dig up the picture and post it here Happy planning!
  9. SDBeach girl, yeah USD 7 per chair, I thought that was nuts... well we are having our ceremony not at DRC and we are paying for white chiavary chairs with a white cushion USD 6 per chair, but in order to then move and then set them up at DRC would be another USD 6 per chair so that is why I contacted Ana about the brown chairs... long story short I think the vendor would charge you twice to move but its worth it to ask... just like the microphone and speakers...separate charge at each location
  10. Oh wow they are fantastic! BeachBride I am in the process of doing our save the dates, we have a laser colour printer and I bought some glossy paper, I just did my first run and it looks like there is a colour shadow especially around the words, I printed in green and there is a bunch of little pink dots... is it the glossy paper? the quality of the printer? Thanks - you girls all seem so capable and I cant even get it to print
  11. saymyname we are using Elizabeth Medina, I think she is fabulous, but also one of the more expensive options out there we also looking into Sol and Cecilia Dumas, those were our 2nd and 3rd choices - I am sure there is a thread on here that discusses each phographer at length
  12. A week, yikes that is a long time to wait for feedback, only thought is maybe with it being a bit more far off in 2011, that is more attentive to those whose weddings are coming up over the next couple of months more - I have heard she gets better closer to I have attached the deck set up I pretty much want to replecate but got quoted a crazy amount for the brown chairs - have any of you girls managed to find it cheaper than USD 7 per chair? On the positive side those overlays were quoted at USD 10, a much better bang for the buck in my opinion Happy planning! Brown Chairs with deck set up.doc
  13. 5 spots only available though? yikes as far as the cost of the food and drinks at an all inclusive, I was super surprised too when I first learnt that I would have to pay for dinner at an all inclusive - kinda counter intuitive isnt it? - but going thru some of the planning process realized just how much more staff they need to set aside just for the party with set up and take down and all that good stuff - so it still sucks but is somewhat understandable
  14. rox you should speak to Ana about availability, time of day for the ceremony still available, and location that is available and when Ana's contact is "Ana Ma. Cruz" <[email protected]> I found her to actually be quite prompt with responces, she doesnt respond to everything, ha ha, but she does respond
