I actually think having one of those outdoor jacuzzi's especially for your honeymoon would be such a treat!

Cathy I am not doing chair sashes, but I believe other ladies have commented on that if you are getting Ana / resort to tie them for you then you need to bring enough sashes for the ceremony and reception if you wish to have them at both, they wont untie and retie them at the next location.
  4. I know that this is quite an old post, but I am actually up because we got engaged about 6 months ago, I love the shape of the ring, but I basically told him what I like and its 1 carrat so big enough, and it has a split shank and sparkly diamonds on the sides. The problem I have is that the diamond in the middle doesnt sparkly nearly as much as the side ones. I was cleaning the house and behind a book case found the specs on the ring, the cut is 'good' and clarity is 'SI1' - I dont want to change anything else about the ring, but to be honest kinda dissapointed that he didnt spend the extra 500-1000 that the jeweller said (I called today) would have cost to go up to 'very good' and 'VS1'. Now do I talk to him and get it upgraded or just leave it? the problem is I can see specs not on the top but on the side, and a 'good' cut and 'SI1' clarity is apparently as cheap as you can go in both categories (atleast in that store). I mean I know he spent extra money to get the 19K white gold, and I did get an extra 20 little diamonds on either side, but I wish the big stone had more sparkly thanks ladies

I had to break up the attachment into three as otherwise they are too big Happy planning! Forum post about tables and chairs + back up location.doc forum post - 3 0f 3.doc
  8. If you dont mind letting us know where you got the lanterns and the things you used to hold up your table numbers that would be great - thanks!
  9. Most of us seem to have borrowed same peices here and there, but thank goodness for this thread, I still have a couple months to go but now have a rough draft of the ceremony already, thanks again ladies, and here it is: Opening On behalf of Kate and Cam, I welcome you and thank you all for gathering here on this beautiful day to witness their marriage ceremony. The fact that you all have travelled such a great distance to be here today is a testament to the amazing amount of love and support they have. Many of you have given them much happiness, warmth, and support through the various stages of their lives. They would like to sincerely thank you all for being here to celebrate their big day. A special and respectful acknowledgement must also be made to those friends and family members who were unable to attend, or have passed on, but whose spirit remains alive and strong in all our hearts. I have also been asked by Kate and Cam to thank their parents for the wonderful lives they have given them, for the hard work and guidance they have provided, for their everlasting love, support, and encouragement. It is from them that they have learned the true meaning of love, friendship and family. Ceremony At the end of this ceremony, legally you will be husband and wife, but you still must decide each and every day that stretches before you that you want to be married. Make such a decision and keep on making it. I Corinthains chapter 13 verse 4 - 8 Love is patient, love is kind It does not envy, it does not boast it is not proud, it is not rude it is not self-seeking it is not easily angered it keeps no record of wrongs Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth it always protects, always trusts always hopes, always perseveres Love never fails Hand Ceremony As an expression that you are joined together in love - will you please join your hands so you may feel the gift that you are to each other These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and always. These are the hands that will work alongside yours as together you build your future. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other. These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind. These are the hands that will wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow and tears of joy. These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it. These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children. These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one. And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch. Vows The wedding ring, traditionally, is a symbol of the unbroken circle of love as it has neither a beginning nor an end and is a symbol of the vows that you will make today. It should always remind those who wear it of the sacredness of marriage and the love that feeds it. Cam, take this ring, put it on Kate's finger and repeat after me: I, Cam, take you, Kate, to be my wife, my partner in life and my one true love. May you feel deeply loved, for indeed you are. With this ring, I give you my heart. I have no greater gift to give. I will trust you and respect you, I will laugh with you and cry with you. With this ring, I pledge my life and my love to you I will cherish our friendship and love you today, tomorrow, and always. Kate, take this ring, put it on Cam's finger and repeat after me: I, Kate, take you, Cam, to be my husband, my partner in life and my one true love. The engagement ring is a symbol of promise and intention. Now the intention is realized and the promise fulfilled. Cam, please place the engagement ring on Kate’s finger over her wedding band to symbolize that the love that brought you together will always protect and sustain your marriage. Sand Ceremony We now ask that the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom step forward for the sand ceremony We will begin by asking the mother’s of the bride and groom to each pour a layer of sand. (mothers pour sand). The sand poured by your mothers is the strong foundation of your lives and marriage. Kate and Cam you have just sealed your relationship by the giving and receiving of rings. But although you will be sharing one life, never forget that you are two separate people. Cherish and affirm your differences. Love each other. Keep your commitment primary. Together you will laugh and cry, be sick and well, be happy and angry, share and grow. Grow sometimes together, sometimes separately. Cam now please pour your sand to represent all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be (PAUSE, for the pouring of the sand) Kate now please pour your sand to represent all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be (PAUSE, for the pouring of the sand) Now please pour your sand together (Read the following passage as we pour the sand together.) Cam and Kate, just these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be a molding of two individual personalities, bonded together forming one heart, one life, and one family. Closing Ceremony Give to one another new experiences of joy. Challenge one another so that you may grow. May the love you hold for each other, now sealed in marriage, continue to mature with the passing years. May you never take each other for granted, but always experience the wonder of your union. Be slow to anger, quick to forgive, leaving no tracks of resentment behind each day. With the words from an old Apache Wedding Blessing, I would like to bless this wedding ceremony. Now you will feel no rain for each of you will be shelter to one another. Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other. Now there is no loneliness, now you are two persons, but there is one life before you. Go now to your place to enter into days of your togetherness and may your days be good and long upon this earth.” It is my honor to pronounce you husband and wife You may kiss the groom. Congratulations – Mr. and Mrs. Cam and Kate __________!

The columns are pretty wicked too because they do the lighting inside the colums with whatever you colors are (in my case blue). Now she's just sending me some variation designs on their lounge furniture to go around the dance floor but its looking pretty swank - I'm loving it. As for communication - GIRL she is fabulous! Super nice, super professional and very prompt. She gives great feedback too whenever I ask for an honest opinion. Here's the kicker though - her name is Ana too hee hee. Thats great to hear so funny, you and I have the same idea. I already went thru a different vendor to get chiavary chairs, and she does pomanders, so I am get 6 to 8 rose pomanders that I was going to flip over as centre peices, I think that is what you meant as well. Fire dancers? can we go thru someone rather than Ana for this? that would be greats cause her quote of USD 800 for 20 min. is yikes! I went on their website and emailed one of the guys, hope to hear back soon. Do you have Ana's email? I didnt see any specific emails on the site just some pictures and bios of staff. Thanks

Finally got my form sent to me for the deposit :-) I decided to stay motivated and even choose the items for the welcome bags and favors for the reception tables. Guess it pays to be stuck inside on rainy days - I was actually productive today :-) Now for then next year to go by ... LOL I have actually been looking for linen as well! I have a vendor for the chiavary chairs, rose pomanders, and the lounge furniture but their gallery of possible linens was not impressive at all - I just emailed Zuniga Productions - what all are you getting from there? how has communicated been? what are their prices like? Thanks!
  12. Question for the mermaid or fitted dress brides - I am set on a tight mermaid dress, I like it quite tight and find it hard to sit, although dancing shouldnt be a problem, do the rest of you get it that tight as well? what do you do for the reception, change? sit ackwardly? I would hate to change into another dress, figure might as well get as much out of the wedding gown as only get to wear it once, but I dont like it when its loose on me - thanks!

Ana told me for weeks we were reserved only to find out he had nothing for our date. Im glad I emailed him!! ha ha thats too funny, we 'booked' DJ Doremixx as well, thank goodness Ivan is on here as well, I had commented how happy I was to book him and get another thing checked off on one of the threads about him, so he sent me a private message saying he had no idea, like what a gong show
  14. Jeez its been weeks for me, when I first started the planning process she took about a week to get back, maybe not as quick as some of us would like but I had no problem with it, the last little while it seems to have stretched to 3-4 weeks now in between responces. I have been planning this for 6 months and with only 7 months to go there is still no contract, and there are a number of larger items that need to be ironned out, way before I get there - well ladies wish me luck that she is still in an 'answering mood' ha ha I just sent her a friendly reminder

  16. We also booked Elizabeth Medina for November 19, 2010 she is fabulous! just out of curiosity - has anyone looked to booking her November 20th thru the 27th?

Has anyone else had a quote from Ana about this? If so, what did she say was the cost? The quote I had was USD 1,000 for 40 minutes, USD 800 for 20 minutes. In my opinion 40 minutes is too long anyway, but I had hoped for USD 500 or 600 for 20 minutes. If you have something from Ana saying USD 500 could you please forward it to me please at [email protected]. Thanks!
