Either way you are going to look stunning
  4. ebernard4985 Re: Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just a note... we used their overlays, but honestly, they did not really fit the tables. The tables are all circular and the overlays are all squared... so they looked a bit odd. The overlay on our sweetheart table was too large! Not sure what size they were but the tables sat 8 comfortably and I think they were standard sized banquet tables. Thanks so much for posting the pictures of the deck! its so funny but it seems like its tough to find new pictures of the set up, there is the same 2 or 3 pictures just kicking around here, greatly appreciate getting a new vantage point! Cheers!

Ana said the pool deck isn't available for our reception. I don't want it on the beach. I'm just kind of bummed because I feel like maybe if she had gotten back to me over a month ago when I first emailed her we could have gotten the reception where we wanted it, maybe not though. I just can't see paying all this money and then not having the big things the way you want. I can see some small things maybe not going so smoothly but the reception location is a big deal to me. I emailed her to see what other options besides the beach were available. Now just waiting to hear. Awww that does suck, maybe if she wasnt responding to you for a month she wasnt responding to the other party on the deck in the mean time either, I would like to think that for brides that are getting married around the same time she is answering emails in sequence, sucks in any case - another option is the pool area, its a little higher than the deck, you would be quite close to the other party but depending on the size of both maybe you would feel like you are seperate enough? hang in there, its going to be great ultimately
  6. Amazing 'trash the dress' wedding photos just came across this and thought it was interesting

We had about 35 people, and he kept them dancing all night long! My guests LOVED the balloons, masks, and glow sticks they brought. The light up dance floor was phenomenal. EVERYONE thought that was the neatest thing. My wedding and reception will be talked about for a long time, thank you IVAN!!!! You guys are awesome! Did you have your reception outside? I really do like the dance floor but its allot, we are having an outside reception so I am worried that it will be dark and this is one way to add some illumination, hmmm what to do what to do.

Well mine is a bit smaller and not actually from Birks but was custom made to look like it, in any case congrads!

  11. Yeah I love the hair!! is your hair naturally curly? I would love to curl my hair but I find at times it doesnt hold it very well, and then in a little while it just looks more messy, but yours is gorgeous!
  12. Yeah I am off to New York tomorrow for a week, kinda bumbed I will miss out on round one of get together and drinks, saying round one as I am hoping for a follow up when I am in town, have a blast ladies!

We visited the resort over Memorial Day weekend and it was somewhat full with adults and not a lot of kids. We never had to wait when going to a restaurant or at the bar. I believe the resort is big enough it can easly handle being fully booked. Yes, the cost for airfare increases every week so those who haven't booked should expect to pay an arm and a leg. The time to do itt is now. Ha ha totally! Jeez why dont people get that? This whole booking fiasco is by far the most stressful part of wedding planning!
  14. I talked to my travel agent yesterday, they are saying that the resort is getting close to being full as far as the most basic rooms are concerned - was there anyone who visited the resort at full capacity, is it just a zoo? I am worried that the guests who havent booked yet will have to pay an arm and a leg to go and that there is going to be kids just hanging off the rafters and the guests that do go wont be able to have a great time. One of the ladies a couple of pages back mentioned it wasnt great during Thanksgiving, we are going mid November so a week before but I wonder if some people now go for two weeks, hmmmm, jeez I am looking forward to being able to sleep again once this is all over.

I did however also break down and get some bubbles, not quite sure why aside from the fact that I was at a store and got 50 for about 7 bucks as they were on sale.
  16. I just came across this, we are using lemons / oranges and roses, etc. for our centre peices (colours are coral so lots of yellow / orange / pink combos) anyhow here are umbrellas in a lime (if sand doesnt work I am thinking I could do lemons or oranges) REAL WEDDINGS: Dashing & Diverse Unique Wedding Place Card Ideas | BravoBride (the drink umbrella and the tag is a more elaborate lounge chair) emilie inc. photography blog: * Lisa and Carson (towards the end) okie just one more http://www.blueorchidblog.com/2008/0...and-place.html Cheers!

We are having our own table for just the two of us though. That sounds beautiful, that is what I was going to do if we did sitting plans, the idea I mentioned above is quite similar in the sand use etc. but the drink umbrellas are cents each rathe than the couple of bucks that I mention, here is what I was going to get if I did do the sanddollar idea, there is also a star shell idea Shore Chic Beach Theme Wedding Accessories - We sell Seashells for weddings by the shore Starfish Escort Cards, Table place cards, White finger Starfish, Blue Starfish, White Knobby Starfish, Dyed Colored Starfish, Ideas with starfish, Shore Chic Beach Theme Wedding Accessories - We sell Seashells for weddings by the shore also check out the second link, they do a starfish that is attached to a rope to put on the inside chairs, I think its a great touch for the ceremony. I am going back and fourth between rose pomanders and these, leaning towards rose pomanders for that added colour.

I saw a lady here who had drink umbrellas in sand with white sticky on the stick with the name and table number, we are going to do that for our sitting plan. There is going to be a small mound of sand and these are going to be stuck into it. I am also spending some time on my table number project, but then I am leaning towards no place cards. The ones I like are a couple bucks each, thought its an easy pass from that perspective. Happy planning.
  19. Everything looks great, I must have those picture frames that you used for table numbers, I know you said walmart, cant see any online, will have to pop in - if anyone finds them please pm me, I just had a thought, talavera numbers in the middle and picture of us at the age of the table as the picture beside - now off to find the picture frame!
  20. Hmm sorry never heard of them, about to book Fernando though, although stressing about the fact that he does multiple weddings each day so I am doing my research now too. Studio H seems like a cool / high fashion studio, I didnt really see pictures of weddings, I like that with Fernando got to see actual portfolio of brides. Good luck
